I grew 8 avocado trees on the porch of my apartment when I was attending college for my degree in biology. I learned that toothpick method when I was a kid from my mom and, whenever I would eat an avocado and see the root sticking out of it, I'd feel bad if I didn't at least try to grow it. Since I lived in an apartment, I'd give the trees away when they got to be the size of the ones in this show.
It is a good thing that Dolphins like human beings for the most part. I first saw one at the World's Fair in 1964. A full-grown adult is much much larger than you think it is when you see it swimming in the water in films. It could kill you in seconds if it felt like it.
I found Vicky Tiel's bio but no information about a movie based on the success story of her and her design partner, Mia Fonssagrives. There is no movie by the name of "The Ya Ya Girls" listed on IMDB.
I wondered about that too, but I'll bet she said she didn't know because of the way Peggy pronounced it. I've seen other contestants deliberately do that in other episodes. That way they are not lying. "I don't know what guacamoll is". That's only my guess though.
Her name is Vicky Tiel; not Vicki Teal. Misspelling the subject's name is all too common on this channel, which boggles the mind since they can easily be verified with a few clicks...grrr. Stop being so lazy!
Politically incorrect, well, maybe, though I believe my Asian in-laws find it more quaint than offensive. Illegal, not a chance, as long as the First Amendment is intact. President Obama's order was an administrative directive, binding only on Federal agencies.
Because of this video, I started growing an avocado tree about a year and a half ago and now it is about 6ft tall.

The day after my 5th birthday.😊 I love seeing what happens in the world before I was old enough to understand or care.
Correct name is Vicky Tiel (b.1943) and Sam Ridgway (b. 1936).
I"m watching the Streisand special. Back when there were network specials. Because there were three networks and that was it.

How can you grow avocado trees and not know what guacamole is?

Try being thankful that you can watch this, and try to appreciate the hard work that people put in to make it available - for free.
@@rmelin13231 ~ How arrogant of you to presume I don't. Try minding your own biz, Gladys (Kravitz).
