Indeed, on my Lidl welder I turned a brass fuse for the 13A plug to avoid any unpleasantness. Sometimes the MCB didn't like it, but only on start, like some 110v transformers, or angle grinders, inrush!
The welder should run off the 13amp. See that type of one for sale alot at markets. Usually puts out around 100amps not the 140. Some nice stuff saved there. Love the old type boxes that the screws were in
I have one of those dewalt routers, is a beast! Paslode will use gas. How does your welder not like 13A? Blow the fuse or trip the breaker? I try to fit type C breakers instead of B when using machinery on that ring. No good finds lately but I'm actively looking for some 6x3 angle iron to fix a purlin.
My stepson finds all type of stuff on curbs, in dumpsters and at garage sales. Now my garage is filled with shit he'll never use and I wind up throwing it away. Its a bad habit to constantly hoard stuff Unless you have an actual business and resell the stuff
The trick is to have some projects ongoing and to use the stuff for that, then to have a group of friends who do similar so if you need a tool or a part you can call up, and everything has zero value so it goes around. Hoarding loads of broken stuff is a sign of something greater, but that is a conversation for you to have!
I doubt it. Stolen tools have a different look about them. These were all slightly outdated or worn out tools. If it was a load of single battery system tools or a box that looked like the day to day toolbox maybe. And where and when you find it makes a difference. I reckon builders vans get cleared out on Friday evening into the skip or bins. I have found loads of good odd mixed hardware and stuff like half a screwdriver bit set that way.
The 625 dewalt router, probably the best router ever made and its elu sister. What a score, had mine 20+ years, bomb proof.
I have an old ELU MOF96 that I bought ages ago as part of a job lot. I thought that DeWalt was good!
Grand haul, I found the fuses in arc welder mains plugs a problem, bypass was the solution, cheers

@@bootsowen Owen, some of my replies to your comments just disappear. Don't know what is going on, cheers

Cheers buddy, it has tidied up my screw mess. I gave it a wash and a dry and and sorted all my boxes of chipboard screws into it.
thats a fantastic find if you can get half of them up and running you,ll be quids in
It all just worked. I was able to flip the blade in the planer over, they have a double edged blade, so it lives, the rest just seems to work.

My little lidl welder kept on tripping a MCB. So i fitted a 16A plug and a 32A line in the garage. No issues.
Gotta love a skip find or a few
Incredible 😮
And inedible. No Henry’s though.

Stolen tools that have been dumped?
