I live in Thailand and have a Honda CB300R. I recently saw the Triumph 400 come to Thai market and the Triumph 400 is only $88 more than the CB300R. Both good looking motorbikes. I am impressed by the performance of both motorbikes but especially the CB300R with only 286cc engine.
For height 5.6, and medium built don't think and go for cb300r, ideally u can go for both but on a day to day basis u will feel less stressed in cb300r and trust me it can travel any distance which triumph can with same ease and comfort
CB300R way above it's class. Less CC, 10ps lower, yet the acceleration where it matters is better and nobody really cares about top end on low CC. CB300R winner by far.

@@gauravnigam3552 Scrambler 400 x owner here 1. Heat is manageable. 400cc engines will always have more heat emitted than lower cc variants. 2. The torque and power is delivered in a very thrilling way. The power delivery is smooth but you will start feeling vibrations at around 6k rpm. But the vibrations are on the lower side. I hit 140 with a pillion, no crouching on tank, that too I just opened throttle on 6th gear without any plans on hitting that speed. 3. Fit and finish is so damn good. 4. Instrument clusters are non existent too small to give you any useful info while riding. 5. Only side stand is available and that the bike just doesn't lean enough to give you confidence. 6. Fuel economy is 20 kmph on Banglore traffic and 30 kmph on highway at triple digit speeds with a pillion. 7. Handling is amazing and bike is well planted on road 8. Laughable headlights.
In real life scenario cb300 light wight will be comfortable in tight parking spaces and narrow street with cunjested traffic in India and long term relabality and big wing servis is topnotch ❤❤
@@abhijiths01 it is better do a market research before saying something uterly wrong. Triumph has two roles: 100% in design and around 20% in R&D. Bajaj is responsible for 80% R&D, 100% in manufacturing, marketing, sales, services and any other operations. Bajaj is also responsible for international operations of these triumph models. So, triumph did the design, oversaw the R&D to some extent and bajaj did all the rest.
Cb 300r is for the streets and corners, of course it will lose a drag race on a straight road with a bike which has 10 bhp more, but what if you take it to a hill. I think it will outperform the triumph.
I currently own cb300r and I can say that high speed stability is quite good , in this video the stability was disturbed by the left damaged and wobbling panel
But has less vibrations through handlebar, at high speed you will feel a lot more vibration in speed 400. Not to mention it takes more time to come to stop because of weight. 300r feels much better in corners for the same reason. 30kg makes a HUGE difference in flickability

Tbh 400 is powerful but the vibration is significantly noticeable after 90kmph in triumph on footpeg then 95+ it starts to buzz the handle bar and 110+ fuel tank too. I can ride my RS till 110+ without any vibration from 125+ to 139 is peak rev there only i got a buzz on footpeg. Japanese engine technology got way improved than other bikes and they are good at higher refinement and quality of ride. Once you swap then only you notice it. other wise its fine though. end of the day Honda is Honda
@@LoofiX24 idk what’s wrong with your friends speed 400 me and my friends always try to get top end whenever we ride….the thing is speed 400 has an rpm lock of 7500 till 2000 kms because of the engine breakdown period I agree bout the vibrations at foot pegs definitely not on handle bars never felt that not even a single time depends on rider or maybe there’s still a rpm lock in your friends speed 400 till 140 I never ever felt a single vibration which is annoying idk feels like you must be driving on 5th gear try the 6th one whenever you push the bike totally it won’t vibrate till 140 trust me
The price was 2.77L last year, which is has been reduced to 2.40L ex. this year. But this premium price is justified because the quality of materials and also bearing that reliable badge of Honda is worth paying extra for and this bike can beat even the continental GT in initial acceleration which really makes my daily city commutes exciting.

Overtaking margin hota hai. To overtake a fast car you need more brute power, but I agree with you. Riding a bike above 80-90 is risky in India. Short bursts above 100 depending on roads is the way to go.

It's just some secs advantage in cb300. You can see that in 2nd round. I have to say triumph did a great job by making a bike which is cheaper than cb300 but more powerful than it.
How can you compare a 300cc engine with a 400cc bike ? You should compare the same engine with similar specifications there is lot of difference between these two bikes.. But HONDA has got the best engine in the whole world. Because they are the best REFINED ENGINES which everybody knows.. I personally drive a Honda SP125cc BS6 bike which is a superb refined engine with absolutely no noise at all, jolt free. The thing which i like the most about my Honda SP125cc bike is they provide both the kick rod and self start/engine kill switch.. Another good thing is FULL DIGITAL METER. and with a great mileage of 60kmpl And on the other hand i like the world famous TRIUMPH bikes also but the drawback of this bike is even after paying that much of amount they are giving semi digital meter not full digital 👎👎 And I don't know why these international bike manufacturing companies don't bother about pillion seats.. in almost all bikes they give very small seats for pillion!!!! A bike riding without a friend sitting on the pillion seat is hell according to me. Do think about pillion seat length also why are you giving small size seat for pillion
No brother. its the specific unit issue in this video. the 300R is roughly driven and it already had a crash,you cant compare these japanese technology engine with triumph. Honda is refinement and reliability leader in any year.

only 140kg and if its the same engine i have on the sh300i scooter, its probably the best engine/size/reliability ever made by honda on recent years

Honda CB300R is a gem of a bike, so underrated. Having owned it for over a year now, no problems so far. too much kick for a 286 CC Engine
The bike is not underrated. People don't buy this because of its price.

Honda bikes have a persistent wobble. Not just this bike. Also the loose part is of body, not the handle/head.

@@K2KMotoVlogs I hv hornet 160R 2017 model. I am in a dellima . I wnted to buy cbr 250 but it was stopped in 2016 hence I had to buy hornet as my Honda shine broke. Now Honda has no full faired bike in under 400 CC. I am fan of Honda. So waiting still.
