Very good video I noticed that only one Land Rover defender in the video this time. But I was watching an off road test between the new Toyota Land Cruiser and the Mercedes G500 and the Land Rover defender 110 and the Land Cruiser finished first in the group and then the Mercedes G wagon and last the Land Rover defender 110 apparently it’s not so good off road compared to the Mercedes Benz G wagon and the Toyota Land Cruiser the Land Cruiser it’s the brand new model that has arrived in the uk with the 4 cylinder diesel engine and 210 bhp from the engine and it 65 thousand pounds and the Mercedes Benz G500 is 136 thousand pounds and the Land Rover defender 110 that was in the video was 115 thousand pounds the Mercedes Benz G wagon is still very good off road because that’s they were originally built for and that seems to be the case with the new model
The Land Rover Defender 110 I can guarantee is just as good as the G wagon or the Land Cruiser. My Disco 4 has done Strata... totally stock. Its done spicy lane, totally stock, except for the guards and non factory wheels, I've gone to bastard in it... totally stock, dunlop hill, pre grading, totally stock. The guy was hearing the TC kicking in and thinking it was scraping. Had he just persisted he'd have climbed the bomb hole easily. There was nothing wrong with the Defender except he didn't have enough stones to be driving it there. Also he was likely using the wrong modes, thats the thing about terrain response, you have to keep changing it to the prevailing conditions. Sometimes you want rock crawl, sometimes you want slippery mode. Sometimes mud and ruts. You literally can't just sit there and rely on the car to do everything.
@@grahameroberts8109 the discovery 4 and the new defender 110 both have the exact same ramp over angles 28 degrees. I did it, no scraping in my Disco 4. So he had a bad line or he mistook the knocking noise of the traction control for scraping. Sadly this one we have to pin on the driver.
@philipstrydomstrydom1821 yeah I can see why. But I do find the D4 quite fun to use. But you really do have to make sure you keep it in the right Terrain mode or it will come to a halt as I found out on spicy lane on that nasty corner.
I have owned a discovery 4 very pleased with it apart from the staff in the Land Rover garage in Glasgow who did not bother being at all helpful I told them I was collecting a new discovery 4 from them and said could they it get ready to for me to drive and I will pay 💰 for the car and they didn’t then I would walkway from the sale of the car and after I said that they got the car sorted very quickly and ready to go but they would not allow me to see the car until I had paid for it and I said no until I check it’s exactly what I ordered from you a year ago otherwise I won’t pay for the car. And I will buy something else which is exactly what happened so I have never actually driven a discovery 4 because I bought the Mercedes Benz G350 diesel instead and I went back the Land Rover showroom in Glasgow to see if they were waiting for me to say I will buy the discovery 4 that I had ordered originally and I said no because you said I wasn’t allowed to see the car until after I paid for it so I went to the Mercedes Benz garage in Glasgow and bought a 6 month old G350 diesel for the same price and in fact it’s what I have driven to the Land Rover showroom in Glasgow and the staff thought I was joking but I said go ahead and see the car and they were not pleased when they saw the car parked outside the door off their showroom so they asked me would I reconsider buying the discovery 4 at the half price and I said no I am pleased with the Mercedes G wagon the only reason why I bought is because off the way the staff being with me about not seeing the discovery 4 which I had already paid half of the money for the car when ordering it in 2016 so unless I don’t pay the rest of the money for the car I won’t be paying any more money for the car therefore you can keep it and I will go elsewhere for a discovery 4 which is actually what I did later that I went to the Land Rover dealer in Edinburgh and I bought a 66/17 plate discovery 4 and they offered to buy the Mercedes Benz G350 for similar money when I bought it new I actually had a discovery 4 and I was pleased with it in fact I would buy another one if I could find one with low mileage because the price of the Mercedes G450 diesel is 136 thousand pounds now
Awesome video mate. Looks like a nice lane. 👍🏻💪🏻❤️
nice

Jip exactly no more old school real skill with these new vehicles, just a bunch of electronics. To me it takes the real adventure out of it.@@mikeb53
The ramp over angle was the problem …along with the driver! 😡🙈👍🏻🙏🦘
