I'm from Beijing and I think this can be greatly improved. This is not worth £22, and they could have allowed the trolleybuses to connect to the wires, and added a lot more routes. People in Beijing don't walk on the road, those were cycle lanes (so were the side roads at the start), maybe they are representing cyclists? They really could have done making Beijing's own buses instead of using Berlin buses! By the way, the occasional noise was from the coin counting machine, that is actually quite realistic, and you actually can turn right at a red traffic light in China, they use the American rules. The terminus means "Beijing Station West Side". The route is a relatively short route, and it was in the city centre the entire time, it only feels more suburban at the end as it's a much older area with old buildings. Great video as always!
The gray & yellow & blue livery is the Beijing Bus Company's latest livery (I think is introduced with EV buses) and the gray & red is their old ones for rigid buses. The MAN in 10:20 carries a Beijing-style bendy bus livery but in my memomry MAN has never been used in Beijing. The coach in 11:20 carries a long-distance bus livery (think Stagecoach long-distance!). Beijing Bus Company (北京公交集團) operates most buses around great Beijing area.
This is the strangest addon I have ever seen, I suspect the beeping is that you are not connected to the power cables above (I don’t know) and the battery is low, I really hope you didn’t spend your hard earned money on this tho. I wish the UK had optional red lights, be nice But keep up the great work Joe
Haha yeah it’s definitely a weird one, can’t say it’s my favourite Addon if I’m honest as I think it’s a lot of money for what is just one route, and one bus haha. It was a Keymailer special haha 🤣
I grew up in this area and I bought this game because not being able to travel back due to covid 19. I would say, the psychical settings are very realistic. There should be 70% more traffic on the road haha
Joe! A new SCR update dropped, V1.9.1, this update includes an upgraded 331 and 195, the 195 has been added to Connect too! Also signals near the Benton area tell you which platform in which you’re going to!
Awww man Bejing is lush, one of my fave Cities. I recognise some of it and it does look kinda what it should (well apart from the masses of people, bikes, e bikes, cars and non stop horn honking). I am sure I have a photo on my flickr of that Bus Depot at the start...just search Beijing on my flickr lol. Shasha says your pronunciation is worse than mine....!
@@JoeDobsongaming Seriously though Beijing is a great City with a really interesting public transportation network. I actually think you would like it!
I think you're being unfair. Don't forget everything in this map has to come from scratch (they would have had to even make their own road signs, fonts, AI vehicles), yet the map looks good, and seems to include details a lot of people don't bother with. The only problem is the price.
perhaps, I just think compared to some other maps it really lacks quality and content. One route in a straight line just isn’t that interesting for the price, if it was cheaper I’d probably be more inclined to recommend it 😄
@@zenojai10 ys But they are not in the same map, that means lots of crossing harbour routes cannot be played... The map with those routes was created about 7 years ago with a poor quality and scale...
It would be much more fun if you set up the announcements and raise the pantograph to silence the beeps. Otherwise it is probably one of the better asian maps out there.
It's impressive how you make a rather boring map fun to watch. But yeah, I wouldn't buy this. Seems like a boring map but maybe that's why they added spinning people and the likes. Side note, how did you know where you were going? You didn't have the markings turned on. At least not that I could see.
Awh thanks for that Roggerolla! Yes the spinning people certainly add a new dynamic! Ah yes since purchasing Bus Company Simulator you get a nice little minimap with the route which you can put on the other monitor :D

I love the photoreal stuff. It has it's artifacts and isn't perfect but is a pretty effect.

I took this bus every week when I was young, very realistic!
ive been binge watching ur channel latly, super underated:)
The bus is beeping because the panto wasn't up, it's the first switch on the first row of the control panel to the left of the wheel.
Does seem a big pricey and not too polished but it’s something new and different and I appreciate that
Found the spinning man funnier than what it actually was 🤣😅

Man, I really wish OMSI 2 had Chinese Coach Buses. Personally, I love King Long because they have really comfortable buses.
Hey Joe! Albert Fingernoodle here. The beeping is because you need to put your seat belt on.

Hope that a DLC HK map will release ltr....
We got high quality HK maps for free!
Just search maps that are like “New Territories East”,”Hong Kong West Kowloon” and more!
There are a lot of hk maps and fictional maps made by hong kongers and they’re free and quality!

Well that was dreadful. It might be ok if it was freeware, but even that’s pushing it. How did you miss that bendy are 42:40?
30:25 missed a bus stop
