Louis Ferrante on Going From Gambino Mafia to Bestselling Author w/ "Mob Rules" (Full Interview)

  • Опубліковано 31 лип 2024
  • Former Gambino crime family associate Louis Ferrante shares his life journey from a criminal to a spokesperson for change. Ferrante, now a TV show host and author, grew up in Queens and began his life of crime by stealing cars, which eventually escalated into hijacking trucks for their valuable contents. Despite his criminal outlook at that time, he stressed the aim was always to avoid hurting anyone. He commented on the guilt he feels today for his past actions, marking a turning point whilst in prison where he felt he was rightly incarcerated for his felonies. Ferrante spent eight and a half years studying law in prison, even overturning one of his own cases, which ultimately helped him turn his life around. To hear his full story, hit the above video.

    I think the part about educating himself in prison was very interesting. Many prisoners are illiterate and it doesn’t matter if you are in for a month or 30 years you can use that time to learn and better yourself and this guy came out and made a credible interesting life for himself.

    • @davidaldridge5716
      @davidaldridge5716 6 місяців тому +3

      This is sorta off topic but it reminds me of freeway Rick Ross….he was illiterate and got thrown away for life. But learned to read just so he could study and understand his case (after he was locked up)…..but in reading about his case he realized the Feds weren’t fair with him and he argued it legally
      In summary they hammered him under the 3 strikes law but he had only been arrested that one time……he studied cases all over the country and realized everyone else who got hammered like that had 3 separate arrests….where as he had ONE arrest with 3 crimes at the same time
      It’s just an inspirational story cause he could’ve curled up and taken defeat but he taught himself to read then started studying law….then presented his case
      It’s cool to think about that much evolution in 1 life span

    Guy was facing a couple years in jail. The whole Mickey Rourke reached out to Pete Gotti and had Lou do a rap song defending John Gotti as part of his defense? If you buy that I'll give you My Cash app. Got a few more stores to tell ya. Gianni Russo style! Can you imagine that?

      There is a 2011 article about the song and his defense in the guardian, not sure how true the back story to it is 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

    Vlad gets good guests usually, and some have good content. But the “ok”’s from vlad throughout the clip are so off putting. Maybe try harder in generating follow up questions or comments….?
