Hohner ST Custom Rebuilt and back in action

- I recorded this just after I rebuilt this original guitar of mine from the 80's and listening today I thought I'd post it just to show how well it competes with modern top end instruments.

I had such a Hohner ST Custom many yaers ago. I can kill me today, that I sold the ST Custom.

The Hohner Professionel ST Custom and SG Lion are truly some of the best guitars I have ever played. I was also allowed to call the ST Victory my own and I could kick myself for selling these parts.
Hohner guitars were very well made for the money. As you can see, my ST Custom plays like a dream, I also had a L75 Les Paul copy which was also a great guitar. They never had any status though, so when I gigged or tried to join a new band people would be resistant, sad really. I remember having to buy a Strat to get credibility and it didn't play anywhere near as well.
@@davidupton8100 Absolutely! Can confirm that. I felt the same way. Something like this: “A Hohner guitar, he must have no idea about it.” And as you rightly said, the Hohner guitars never achieved the status they deserved. Still, I stand by it: These were some of the best guitars I've ever played.
By the way, it's awesome how the ST Custom sounds! She doesn't have to hide behind a Fender, Gibson or PRS in terms of its shape, finish, playability and certainly its sound!
