Hello everyone. A great recipe to have among winter preparations. If there are more onions at home, make this recipe and the onions will be valuable. Use in meat dishes, pasta, raw meatballs, grilled meatballs, sauces and any dishes you want. It is much more delicious, especially with local onions. It is easy and convenient to make. There are recipes for garlic powder, potato flour, orange peel powder, lemon peel powder on the channel. Good luck to those who try. I love you.

That's a great way to preserve them, if you have no other way. Thank you for sharing. I use a freeze dryer. It also keeps the natural vitamins and minerals in the foods. I'm from Nevada, USA
From India. We prepare onion, garlic, ginger, mint, coriander powder the same way. Nice to add to soups and salads to add flavour
But we have onions throughout the year. Also garlic, ginger and coriander leaves are available throughout the year. We do have Coriander powder made of seeds but what I mean is we don't have to prepare for the winter bcz it's affordable too

Cool💯 I've never seen this method. I just slice thin and leave on my counter a couple of days until dried like chips. Then I grind them and add salt to preserve. Thank you f or sharing.

Eu aproveito as cascas da cebola e alho, junto com água e levo ao fogo para ferver por uns 20 minutos, depois que esfria, passo na peneira e coloco numa garrafa. E diluo usando uma 1 porção para 10 de água para acabar com pragas nas plantas, coloco em um borrifador, e borrifo nos dois lados das folhas. OBS: Usar nas plantas no final da tarde quando não tem mais sol, do contrário, a planta ficará queimada e morre.

I do the same with mushrooms once dried I grind to a fine powder and one teaspoon is all that’s needed in a stew. I love doing the same with silverbeet leaves and spinach as well as some other veggies. I find the powder added to stews gives it a richer flavour.
If you slice the mushrooms and place them in the Sun they'll absorb the vitamin D, that's for the ones that don't have gills like the tiny white buttons and the portobellos etc you have to slice them the ones with gills you just play some upside down so the gills are in the Sun and they'll absorb the vitamin D and they'll be vitamin D enriched when you dry them and then you have high doses of vitamin D in your food and most people are lacking in that while they're lacking in every essential vitamin. This is a fantastic idea to dry your own instead of going to the Asian market and buying packets of dried mushrooms. If you come across things like chaga that are great medicine lion's mane and you can use the mushrooms as a coffee or add it to your coffee!! Awesome! I'm trying to prep to leave New York City and I have a tent and I was trying to think of ways to carry some foods with me, because I have kidney issues, and dried mushrooms in a bag that's resealable is a lifesaver and the onions resealable in a bag lightweight you can take a scoop of both and put a little water and you got a mushroom onion soup!! I LOVE ALL OF THIS!!

@@VK-qo1gm typically when I dried mushrooms I just left them sit on the counter out in the sun or you can use a dehydrator or oven on low probably. I'm so excited! Every single mushroom benefits the human body in a different way like the lion's mane is good for your brain etc. I am so excited to try this!

@@abbylynn8872 your body needs 'salt' sodium but it's not supposed to be bleached or drained of iodine. Dr Eric Berg YT recommends a great sea salt

На солнце мухи засидят. В чистом виде уже нельзя.
В дегитраторе или духовке хорошо сушить. А чтоб два раза не перемалывать, можно первый раз просто порезанным просушить, а после сушки уже в порошок перетереть.
@@MeritN - я пробовала в прошлом году и перец и лук и помидоры по такому принципу сушить, но вот измельчалось потом с большим трудом. Пересушила? Вот такой порошок без изъянов не получился. С кусочками вышло. Но очень вкусно.

Thank you!! I plan to try. I can imagine it will dry better and faster if you squeeze out excess liquid first.🤔 Maybe freeze the onion juice in ice cube trays for later use? I know my grandmother always had storebought onion juice in small bottles at hand for seasoning. 😊 Currently, the sun is not very strong where I live. So off to do the oven version. Thanks again! 👍

Anyway, personally i would not squeeze out the juice cause a lot of the salt and nutrients are in the juice.
That's a very good idea! My concern with the powder is that you loose a lot of nutriments by evaporation, but if you keep the juice, problem solved! 😊
If you squeeze out any liquids, you're squeezing out flavour. It's your choice though
