- I love the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown and took a shot at adding a melody and orchestra to his lyrics! If you haven't read these books- they're amazing, check them out!

@@ashleypaul6326 Pierce brown is really close to getting a greenlight for tv adaptation. He recently did an interview with Brian McClellan on his podcast 'Page Break'. He discussed about it there.

I literally just finished the first book in the series and bloody damn was it an experience. I picture the image of Darrow, Mustangs head on his lap, singing this song remember how Eo sang it..

I finished red rising yesterday and today I’m reading golden son. I’m just thinking about this series all the time cause it’s SO GOOD!
Just founded this version and I like it.
Man I read Red Rising for the first time recently(Waiting on Golden Son to be ready for pick up from the library) and It chilled me reading the words, but hearing them is jaw dropping. Thank you.

My friend who got me to read the book sent this to me after I started crying in front of all my friends when she died and I listened to it for the next 4 days almost non-stop. I love this so much
Late response here but I also was reading it and cried in front of all my friends at that point 😂 was on a road trip and had to move to the far back of the car to cry in peace 😂

Just finshed Dark Age and then found this... seriously epic. This is the sound I’ve been trying to find for this song since Red Rising.
There was something about a story of a ruling class building a society to suit their needs, even manipulating genetics, overwhelming technology, information campaigns. Only for that society to turn on them that was so compelling. One of my favorite scenes was when the pink of a gold commander opening the doors for the invading rebel force. The response of the gold who was so sure the pink really was devoted to him. So blind to the pinks life she gladly turned on him when she had the chance. It was moments like that, that just told the full story of how so many where brutalized even those with better living.
I think I have a problem... I keep listening to this on repeat for hours 😅 I'm so addicted

this song gave me a deeper understanding of what It must mean for the reds, then just reading it ever could. For me Darrow is the reaper risen from the vale. The better futurer the reds imagined awaiting them in the vale, come to life as pretty much a holy warrior with all the conviction and all the brutality

I'm rereading the red rising series, so I just had to come and say how much I love this and how many times I've listened to it. Very beautiful
I just finished the audio book and at the end a short version of this song plays. It was amazing that i replay it again and again. It made my bike trip to work longer but it was worth it.
That is a great rendition of the song Lauren well done. The lyrics and significance are very powerful gave me goosebumps.

If they will make an adaptation of the books JUST to put this as the opening sequence theme for it ... It would be fully justified.

I Just cried (again) as they hang Eo.. re-reading the book... And thought to myself to search UA-cam for someone who covered the song .. and you were my first result... Every few months I find myself revisiting this to remind myself how much this series has affected me. It's a beautiful song, smart lyrics (btw you have an amazing singing voice), and it always reminds me why I'm okay with waiting for the next book

The anticipation is similar to that of Game of Thrones season eight, but much larger than that ... after all, this is Pierce Brown and his phenomenal writing style. Volsung, Volga, Lyria, Virginia, Lysander, Darrow, Victra, Sevro, the Minotaur, Atalantia, Pax and Electra, and others ... all central characters set to converge ... I wish I could simply transition to 2023 or so (just to be sure of the book's release) and take it back with me, and devour it. I would sacrifice a whole year of lockdown for that...
I got them on audible(that way I can listen at work) and in paperback too after a nice stranger on Facebook really sold me on the serie. Holy shit is this a good trilogy. I'm not taking any chances and am waiting for the final book to come out before starting the second trilogy. I could never imagine the pain of finishing golden son to have to wait for morning star to come out.

I’ve just rediscovered the series after reading the first three in 8th grade about 3 years back now I’m rereading the first three so I can finish the last three and…when I tell you I turned to page 274 in the first book and followed along, all I could imagine is a split scene between Eo singing this on the gallows as well as Darrow singing it to Mustang and it brought tears in my eyes. This truly is amazing and I can see why now the song is described as it is. It is beauty and sorrow mixed together. Just the song itself brings you to tears not to mention the understanding that you will be killed if you sing it…I- I have no other words except thank you, you have brought to life a part of the book I never thought I’d be able to hear. You’ve brought to life Eo for me.
