I found a new Scrubtastic at an estate sale for $6.00. I figured I have very little to lose, so I bought it. I used it in the bathroom on the baseboards and the tile grout. It worked very well. Like the video said, it's not for heavy cleaning but it works well on light to moderate cleaning. I would give this thumbs up. Not a bad $6.00 investment.
I purchased the Scrubtastic by Clorox. Your review meets the exact expectations as my Scrubtastic by Clorox. Thank you for reviewing this product. It was a much needed gel for me.
I appreciate this as I've been looking at what can assist with basic home cleaning and this seems to fit the niche. Lower back damage isn't allowing me to do a lot so the review is quite helpful. I have subscribed for further reviews.
I like this product a lot. I use the half dome shape brush to clean my tub. I start by wetting the tub, sprinkle some Bar Keeper's Friend, use the brush. Then, I actually run line of a blue color toilet bowl cleaner near the top of the tub. Note: this thing is very strong and has discolored the chrome parts in my tub, but I don't care. The blue color allows me to see where I am brushing. My tub goes from stained !!! to shiny with very little effort. I'm very lazy, this product also makes me feel like I can plan my cleaning and it won't be too hard to do.
I usually find your reviews very helpful. This one was not one of them. Of course if you "clean" on side or one spot. You will see a difference from the other side. If you would have done a hand scrubbing on one side versus the spin tool. ANd given a how clean they are versus effort analysis that would have been useful.
Such a clear and useful review. I had been trying to tell the difference among Scrubtastic, Hurricane and other scrubbing brushes, as well as if their parts were interchangeable among brands. Now I know. Indeed, Emson (Scrubtastic) bought the license for Clorox scrubbers and some other products.
I bought a similar device from QVC A few years ago and only used it once as it had a small brush and when cleaning the shower I was always looking for water to remove the soapy residue. It is a pain to continually wipe it off as you go and does not make my work easier
Did anyone ever invent a version of this that sends water or a solution from a compartment through the scrubber? Of course they would have to find a way to have it not electrocute you. It would probably be easier to just wet the brush though.
I just purchased for 36.99, from Amazon, Timin Scrubtastic. Clorox must not have a copywrite on the name. It is pretty much identical to the other battery operated scrubbers on the market but i do like two things about it. It has lithium-ion batteries (not metal hydride) so it's lighter with the same power and it comes with three brushes, a small cone, a large half round and a large flat brush. We'll see how it lasts over time.
hi. I got the hurricane model, but I got so disapointed at its power. Takes forever to charge , don't work with the cords if battery dries, and when you push it softly against the wall it completely stops rotating. Cleans barelly nothing. Does nothing to stains on tiles. Do you know any other scrubber that actually is stronger for depp cleaning that works better than those 3 you tested ?
I noticed that you used the same brush for everything. Use the corner brush for crevices, and for around the faucet area. Use a liquid cleaner on the large tile floor. Use the flat brush that is harder for flat surfaces - like your tub. I think it would have gotten cleaner.
Great reviews! Sorta unfair to use bleach products to show cleaning ability. Bleach does pretty good all by itself with no brush at all. Upcoming reviews use non bleach products or no soap product at all to show how scrubbers work alone. :)
Ignore my first comment. Should've watched all three of your reviews. I will watch them again and compare side by side. One test you didn't do is shower tiles. I need to get into the corners where the tiles touches the top of the tube. Plus scrub the tiles to get out the grout. That needs to be cleaned the most. Washing the basin is no problem for me. I'll also watch your other viewers. Thanks again.
I can tell you from experience, for the floor tile you can get some acid like cleaner from a Janitorial Shop. We used it in the mop bucket and it got rid of that nasty black gunk marks that build up in the grout. You mopped it on and let it sit I believe for 5 minutes or so before mopping it up with regular cleaner and water. They should have used a drill style battery pack for more OOMPH. I also find that plain White Vinegar works better then most cleaners and is safer for you and your loved ones.
I wouldn’t use that on a window unless there was some baked on crud that wouldn’t come off with a power wash. I’m thinking the brush would scratch up the glass and make it even dirtier next time.
With any cleaner, you have to let it soak for more than 1 minute like ten minutes. I find that a good toothbrush with a lot of elbow grease or a lot of force will clean grout. Than again I buy and use a dollar store metal tooth brush found in the tool section. You still have to use chemical to remove and/or kill the compacted dirted, grease, the mold, germs, virus and etc...in floor tile grout. Don't use it for tube because it does not usually used cement grout.
Anyone know how long this thing works before the battery becomes useless and needs replaced, and can you replace the battery or do you just throw the whole thing away?
I've become disabled recently. My appendix burst and I have a lot of health issues now. I know you said all of the brushes are good for light cleaning but can you recommend something for more deep clean that's not going to kill me when I do it? I would greatly appreciate it more than you know. Thank you for your videos. 🙏😊
Hello, How long does the battery last in this unit compared to the Turbo and Hurricane? I would love to see a comparison against the Turbo since you like that one better!
get the turbo i think thats the best one i just ordered it myself after watching all 3 reviews. From what im reading on all review sites this is probably the worst one
The Hurricane is 20 hours the 1st time to charge up, then 8 hrs after that . The Turbo takes 2 hours to charge up, it's VERY powerful & is the best IMO +Elyse Ward
Clorox scrubtastic review: to sum it up in one word ”JUNK” they give you a holder to hang the scruber while charging or to store it. They show putting this hanger on your shower rod if you have one. Shower doors don’t count then the scrubber will fall out and will not stay put. The holder will not support the scrubber or fasten to a wall where it can drip on the floor allowing you to slip. Hopefully you have a power outlet to plug the charger into close by. I took it back to the laundry area to store it and add a drip bucket.
How is the battery life on the Scrubtastic ? I saw how the Hurricane clocked out on a full charge at 44 minutes and Turbo Scrub at 1 hour and 22 minutes ?
Ok, I have one...I like, but: I have tried to charge it and go from amber to green....no chance and I am talking after waiting 24 hours --- not just 4. Second, when I use it, it will STOP during the cleaning, with the slightest pressure. So, it works, BUT.
When you compared the Hurricane with the Turbo, you preferred the Turbo since the Turbo's battery lasted about 30 minutes more. How long did the Scrubtastic's battery last?
That splatter kick back is wicked on clothing. Long ago, I discovered the hard way, by ruining certain expensive business attire, that using my sonic powered toothbrush can have the same impact. Unfortunately, it doesn't get discovered until bleaching speckled spots have already taken effect.
I wonder which one is lighter in weight when not use the extension? I don’t like the extension as well, and I can’t hold heavy stuff for long time, so I think I will go for the lighter one, please advise, thank you so much :)
I would not use this on acrylic surfaces, would ruin the surface and dirt embeds , better to coast them with boat style protectent and lightly clean with soft cleaners.
Brilliant review James. I can't wait until I get the Turbo Scrubber. Question for you, how much better do you reckon the 400 RPM, would be compared to the 300 RPM ?
He said this works for light-moderate dirt. What about for heavy stains/dirt? What's the advice there? Cuz I got a shower that has some serious stains on the grout. Thanks in advance folks for the help
After I watched your review about the turbo scrub 360 I bought mine. I'm pretty happy with the results. It helps to maintain a clean bathroom without the need to bend my back or scrub hard. I have one question though, if I need to replace one of the brushes due to overuse, where can purchase the brush from?
I have used the brush in a toilet, but I didn't submerge it. The instructions aren't clear, only stating not to submerge the entire unit. I'm not sure I would use the entire head underwater. Did you ever try it?
Just bought a scrubtastic and love it. But when I tried to change brush heads....the black center came off in the brush I removed. How do you get the center out of the brush?
@@kctokes4208 I got a Clorox Scrubtastic and it says charge for 3.5 hours. Also says if you won't be using it for a while to decharge it which means to turn it on until it runs out of battery. I'm not exactly sure why I just read that.
They are so similar. I would say Turbo Scrub only because the battery seemed better. There's now a Turbo Scrub Pro which I haven't seen, but supposedly has an even stronger battery.
Yes that also has a 400 spin speed, plus a bigger extra flat brush also. I will get it soon hopefully. I love mine & thank you for answering James, + Freakin' Reviews
Honestly, you got sprayed because you misused the scrubber heads. You are also supposed to spray your cleaner in your shower, floor, sink etc and let the cleaner have a little time to sit so it can break up a bit. You pressed on the wand and it slowed down. There is no reason to press like you did when trying to do the corners of the shower. If you had used the corner brush it would have worked easier and better than the big brush. This is also not intended to be a window cleaner and if you are going to use it as one, why use the tiny brush that is hard to keep on the glass. I don't think you gave this product a fair review because of improper use and the cleaning product you were using. I use this product all the time and it does a great job of keeping the bath and shower clean without having to get down on your knees and stretch out over a tub. For a harder clean of ground-in dirt and soap scum, try a heavy-duty cleaner and let it work for you. Also when doing the floor tiles, you would have gotten it cleaner if you had used the brush you used on the window instead of the big brush. Not knocking you in any way but just think it was flawed in the exhibition of the product. Also, I reread the instruction book in mine and it says 2.5 hours to charge not 4 so not sure what is up with that. Thanks though for taking the time and putting the reviews out there.
I'd tolerate a little noise if it speeds up cleaning. Same thing with a vacuum cleaner. If it bugs you too much, wear headphones or stuff gummy bears in your ears.
Another great review! I know the idea of those type of scrubbers is that it does the scrubbing for you. I would like to see it compared to just a plain scrub brush and elbow grease. I'm also curious how much of the cleaning is from the brush and how much is from the type of cleaning agent you are using? :)
For us older chicks it's all in the gout and arthritis that's over come my old body. I don't think these would do as well as a good soak first then some elbow grease. But I can't do that kind of cleaning now. I mostly do the soak. I think this would appeal more to those that are elderly and those that love gadgets. Subscribed to your channel just the other day btw.

Seems to me like the pointer scrubber would work best in right spots and act as a deeper clean, less cast off too. Lol, Batchelor cleaning...

Same Scrubbers. Like Two Brands m sole the idea from one brand.
1.Hurricane Spin scrubber
2.Turbo Scrub

Freakin' Reviews No matter. I'm going to buy a turbo at bed bath and beyond today anyway based on ur review . I'M sold :D
I disagree, if you use it for all three it is fair game. I mean, it's cheap useful product to use in conjuction with any of the products you reviewed.

Might want to try the tapered head for cornered spots, that huge round brush isn’t going to get those corners, but yeah, thank you for the review.
Cool. I want to get one, and I think I'm gonna go with the Hurricane. Your reviews have really helped.
Glad I could help!
Why didn't you use the smaller, narrow more pointed brush for the sink & around the fixtures?
I can tell you from experience, for the floor tile you can get some acid like cleaner from a Janitorial Shop. Use Ajax for more powerful cleaning. Worked well for hard water buildup I the shower. Used it on/off for over an hour with no issues.

Swear by simple green at McD's thats amazing stuff!

I think the flat brush would have worked better in the tube ? Maybe the pointed brush around the sink ?

I love my scrubber but I use Bar Keepers Friend foam type. Works great. Also works good on tombstones.
You have tombstones?
Nice? I cleaned my dead parents tombstones with it since it was battery powered. Do you have any other stupid questions?
I would not use this on acrylic surfaces, would ruin the surface and dirt embeds , better to coast them with boat style protectent and lightly clean with soft cleaners.
thank you so the awesome videos, plus for a regular house cleaning the scrub or the turbo seems to be fine , thanks

More durable thank you

How come no one know or will say the run time? I'm assuming not very long or somebody, anybody would say something about run time.
Do the hurricane brush heads fit the Clorox scrubtastic? Be interesting to know

I may have to do a comparison, but I would think the results would be similar, based on the power of your drill.

Accountant InTraining I changed to a steam cleaner, that way I don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals or strong chemical smells
I don't like a long handle
The sound it make bothers me
I picked this product up before watching this review. To be honest.....this product is meh. I give it a C- or a D+.
Well! The sound alone was enough to keep me away from this. I stick to my steam cleaner
magic erasers clean way better
