It’s the 3 series for me (that’s what I drive). I don’t hate the grill specially after seeing it in person. I just think the M series looks way better in a way that it actually looks more refined if it makes any sense. I’d trade mine for a new M3 tomorrow if I could..
Personally love the grill. Love the 4 series. Always preferred the styling of all Mercedes and Audi to BMW, but the latest models of all BMWs look amazing inside and out.
I like the M440i the most, but they all look nice, I have seen this new grill for a couple of months now, and it does grow on you, maybe not for all people, it's great to see the start of you reviewing some serious luxury and expensive cars, which is nice to mix it up sometimes with the more affordable everyday cars most of us can buy. I enjoyed this review.
The car is absolutely adorable!! No other car looks like this Latest 4 series despite grill. It looks great from a side and rear m, it is absolutely great!!!! And can’t be compared with 3 series. This is another planet!

Especially seeing a few more new beamers around. I love that new grill. Makes you think damn that’s the new Beamer. Very distinct and nice in my opinion especially on the convertibles. Sporty and luxury, how a BMW sports convertible should be.
I love that grill, the car is absolutely beautiful and very dynamic t drive . Currently the most beautiful vehicle BMW is making apart of huge grills on , 7 X3,5,7. M440 is great to drive and 4 seres looks cool. Everybody turn their heads for the new 4 series. Inside very nice and practical, better then other coupe competitors. I would hate to spoil the excitment of some folks but I am truly afraid to let people down by saying that these are last years of emotionally charged ICE cars built for enthusiasts. There is no way the ICE will keep up with emissions and compete with BEVs in nearest future. Good news is most of these cars quickly will become collectible and very much desirable. The bad news is most of them incorporate emerging yet crude technologies like radars, sensors, microchips and flash memory for screens and graphical CPUs. The CPUs are mature technology. The screen pixels quickly will deteriorate as the flash memory due to rewriting on it. In 30 years it will be impossible to maintain a such kind of car in the factory condition since most electronical part will become so obsolete that it will be impossible to replace them. The good news is most of collectors care more about the shape of the car than about ICE. Thus most collectors will restomod these cars into BEVs with new motors, batterirs, computer chips and sensors of upcoming generations. Hopefully by that time the sound and driving dynamics will be accurately immulated by new installed computers to resemble the cars of today. Enjoy until it lasts!
Very much a truth of element to that, displacements become smaller and smaller soon electric vehicles will be the way! But it is important for our future, so I get it 🙂

My post is inspired by a lot of small volume manufacturers from UK already involved in electrifying iconic British cars adding modern technology but preserving the shape and the spirit of those cars from 60ties. The most "affordable" from this group is RBW Classic electric cars remanufacturing new bodies of classic MGB, Jaguar XKSS and type C into modern EVs.
The M440i is no doubt the quicker car, and the more refined car to drive... But the Mustang GT is just silly (dangerous at times) fun! If it were me, and money was not a factor, I would go the M440i all day!

This review on its own makes you want to buy this car! I love the look of this car. Looking for the convertible version now... just deciding on which colour Artic Blue Race or the Green? :) I currently own a 220d... will the $$$ worth it to upgrade from 420i to 430i? I won't go on the brande new 440i as it is over budget for me and I don't know if I'd even know how to handle that speed haha
Same feeling! 420i & 430i feels pretty much the same especially in low speed. However 430i cost much more than the entry level 420i in VIC dealership. Which one you recommend more? (Love your video😊)
While the grille might be unique, and it does not bother me at all, the rest of the design is extremely generic coupe. It could be a Mustang from the side and that is particularly bad when you think of classic BMW coupes like the early E9's or the 8 series. And where in hell is the Hoffmeister kink? Despite what BMW is saying, it has seemingly gone AWOL.
Yep I totally agree - why be so outlandish with the front, then leave the rear to be bloated? Makes no sense to me... Maybe it wouldn't look as dull if they didn't make the front so bright

This was a dumbest review in my list for 2022 The reviewer only talks about the 440i when he drives a 430i and skipping the 420i. Sad that BMW choose this channel to review.
Wow you spoke to the designer of the new 4 series? Were they 5 years old? Could they even hold an adult conversation?? I'm surprised they still work for BMW after designing this monstrosity. Would have thought they had been banished to Siberia (or Brilliant Automotive in China) by now! The 4 series does not even look like a BMW anymore, especially if you removed the giant kidney grille. It's as if they designed the entire car and then realised that it doesn't look like a BMW, so they put a giant kidney grille on it to make sure of it. Then they explained that they designed the grille first and everything else followed (I think that's bullshit!). It is obviously a terrible sell out to their supporters around the world, in favour of selling more cars in China (where the Chinese have this ridiculous obsession with styling being overt and overstated in order to show off their newly acquired and undeserved wealth. At least the current 3 series does look like a BMW if you squint or from a distance. The rear of the 4 series could be a lexus if you removed the roundel! Good on you for starting a new car review channel. This is to be congratulated. We need this in Australia. Some top tips: 1. If you are describing the styling of the car, do this with a walk around, pointing out what you are talking about, not whilst driving. 2. Talk (way) less whilst driving. Let the sound and images of the car represent itself. 3. Try not to overreact to the acceleration. The 440i is not that fast compared to other future cars you will be reviewing (incl. M4). Try to level the playing field by being understated in your reactions, that way you leave some space to be surprised by much faster cars. It is NOT insane. It is just a quick car. 4. No one. Repeat, no one cars about interior storage or boot space. BORING! Skip the boring bits like this and try to find weird quirks or interesting things about the car that no one else has said, or that set it apart. Any new interesting features? Complaints about erganomics, idrive settings, etc? 5. Try to differentiate the 420i and 440i more. They should feel quite different but you said they feel the same. How about the weight difference? How about the RWD only? How does this change the steering feel? Are the brakes the same size? 6. How is the 440i price justified? The outgoing M3 was $140,000. So how does this stack up against that?? Have a philosophical discussion about the actual impetus to purchase one. What are the competitors and what sets this car apart? What are it's overall failings? Has it kept up to the mark/pushed the envelope or is it falling behind? What does the car say about the future of BMW as a brand? Is it really the "best driving car at this price point"?? That is a big statement. If you are going to make big statements, then back them up with evidence, not just your opinion. Good bits: - I like the joking with the voice commands. Isn't it easier to just push one button on the steering wheel for sport mode than have to shout at the car 3 times? - The video shots (especially driving round bends and car following) are excellent. Keep up the great work! Hope to see this channel keep going in the right direction!

That grill just sucks! It looks like it was designed by the pigs from the angry birds game. Just horrible! It even has a crash bar that goes across it, so its not fully used for air intake. BMW’s used to be known for the shark 🦈profile, but this 🐽🐷 pig snout profile looks lazily slapped on at the last minute and doesn’t even look cohesive with the rest of the cars design or body lines. The designer of this embarrassment (Domagoj Dukec) really fucked it up all for the sake of making a name for himself in that he wanted to “change up” the styling of BMW. Yeah, way to go d*ckhead 🤦🏻♂️! And with all the marketing that they've had to do to force people to even accept it they could have done better. Wouldn’t it have been easier to design a better looking car, rather than aggressively market such an ugly design🤢🤮?! Seems like a waste of money🤦🏻♂️.
I see where you're coming from! But that's the thing, looks are subjective. I get people hate it, because boy it is different, but I still like it - not love it, I think it's neat if not a bit odd 🙂

I like the grill, but it’s ruined by the front license plate. I know it’s mandatory in Australia. But front plates are optional in some U.S. states 🤔
