George's solo is pure genius. I love this guy and it saddens me every time I listen to him play that he died so young. We miss you George, and Don and Dannie too. And of course Charlie who also died too young. Cancer is a cruel decimator of humans.

Charlie died from amyotropic lateral sclerosis, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's Disease. BTW, Jack Walrath is alive and living on Facebook.
This band(Adams,Walrath,Pullen,Richmond)was Mingus' best ever.It gave him a new surge of energy !
