Okay. But what does it mean?
I think it means a brief, one-of-a-kind experience you feel very strongly, but can’t wrap your head around what it actually is
@@kellydalstok8900 obviously can't speak for Damon, but to me it seems to mean a moment so unique and fleeting that you don't have time to contemplate your reaction to it, overanalyse it, etc. Just to be present in it and consumed by it.
@@kellydalstok8900t's an acknowledgment of the shortness of human life, and the sheer bliss of finding a true love in that momentary existence. This track is written from the perspective of having broken up with someone who you tasted that fleeting sense of true love with and saying to them "we're running out of time to fix it" and if we can't fix it here on earth, I'll be waiting in the afterlife (The Heights) to stand next to you again.

This song opened up the floodgates for me. A heartbreaking cherry on top of an incredibly emotional album.

There are not enough words to describe the brilliance of this song.
It is so incredibly good, with Damon´s reflective lyrics and Graham´s buzzing guitar sounds. It all works together mind-blowing perfectly.

The last part is incredible.

I think in this song the heights is a metaphor for climbing a mountain of an achievement for whatever means something to you and when you reach the top your so exhausted and not in the right mood to comprehend that achievement that you are basically in there with the audience clapping with their sense of wonder

I've been listening to Damon because of the album he did with Bobby Womack. The more im hearing and seeing him... im appreciating him. He seems like a man with awareness, generosity and a social conscience. I liked the early Blur songs and I'm loving his creativity and how bold he can be in changing his style and the types of life issues or situations he writes and sings abot

When people say our lives our completely insignificant blips when stood against eternity, I would say that our lives are all that is significant & the before / after are the insignificant blips. Idk I think about this stuff nearly 24/7 & tryna find the right mindset to not worry & just be present & truly savor the experience
cool, never thought of it like that...mmm 🤔 I've always thought of the unseen as the eternal where there's nothing to worry about because we just recycle back into it and we come to this life as a soul to experience the material form but in comparison to eternity that's just a momentary thing and we need to appreciate and experience everything in it's entirety because the only guarantee that we have in life is that it doesn't last forever, nothing does. I think life is a beautiful thing to be appreciated in whatever form it takes. Worrying about our inevitable exit from the world is only natural from our human conscious perspective as we over think our experience. You've just got to appreciate the small things, if you're in good health, your health but a sunset, a butterfly, a pattern in the clouds a rainbow they're all gifts...noone knows what happens after death but it comes for all of us so we need to let go and make peace with it. I'm probably being naive but there's nothing we can do about it except appreciate each day we have breath...some of my friends died young and I can only appreciate the fact that life is a delicate thing. All you can do is try to live out your expression in it's fullest form and if you have a life mission try to fulfill it, you'll have less time to worry about it.

This song is about returning to God our creator ..The Heights. being in heaven and sitting next to our loved one. This one is in honour and dedicated to Suzi . The blinding white noise at the end signifying the reaching of the heights and the blinding white light we call bliss. This song is the best on the album . It's sublime.
