Another great upload! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the match. I remember Luat he was a fun player to watch and Archer ground it out very well
If you think those two were more entertaining than Scotty Townsend, you clearly missed out on a lot. Scotty is legendary
Love listening to Buddy and his expertise.Would rather watch that smooth as silk stroke.
Agree. And here it is:

RIP Scotty
No one ever had more heart than SCOTTY. ..R I P 💗 ACE . SEE YOU IN HEAVEN " LOUISIANA ROADRUNNER " !
Andrew, nicely said. I miss him t0o..
@@andrewmeneely9774 Heart is right, enough heart to get killed being out of his league. He was just a Louisiana road hustler with stories.
The money hasn't changed in 20 years, except you have to travel half way across the globe now and fade those expenses...
Sad but true
Remember being at this tournament
bahahaha!!
That scratch on the 9 in the first game!
Luat is pressuring out. I couldn't miss the shots he did if I tried.
Speaking of pressure Ed, you've reminded me of an unwittingly amusing (and more than a little arrogant) response that the supremely-confident Willie Mosconi gave to a sports reporter during a final's pre-match interview. He was asked whether he felt some pressure at the moment. Mosconi replied: Oh no, I leave that feeling for the other guy . . . I only have to play *pool* -- he has to play *Mosconi* "
If Buddy & Jim were not there I would mute the sound because the network talent guy Tom Kelly has a real talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. He simply doesn't know what is important at crucial moments.
Anyway, I'm very grateful to Ray el rey for putting this up.
g nolan: Tom Kelly was primarily a leading golf and football commentator for various networks and very popular for those sports. Prime recruited him for their Pro Tour pool coverage. Tom was only hobby-level pool player, but an excellent golfer. *Here he essentially served as a non-expert surrogate for the home viewing audience with lesser pool experience, and asking many innocent questions they might ask, and deserved easy to understand answers as to what was going on in certain situations* . Sponsors rightfully *appreciated his colorful presence in that role* . Golf coverage often has a lot of dramatic language . . . pool not so much, as is appropriate. Sad to report Tom passed away three years ago after a long illness.
Basically called Mizerak and Buddy Hall fat asses, Kelly had no clue about pool, I remember being a young guy that loved pool, and these matches came on late at nite, I had to mute tv
@@billysikes1374I remember when Johnny archer blew a 9-2 lead on Kim davenport, when Tom interviewed Johnny after the match he said "Johnny always the brides maid and never the bride" 😂😂😂😂
Boy Johnny was pissed off 😂😂😂
@@jlobiafra I was there when that happened lol I grew up with JA, I live in Savannah, he lived in Twin City, basically Metter, Tom was a moron lol he didn't know anything about pool lol I wish Scotty Townsend had beat JA, That 7 ball he hung literally destroyed his entire Life, RIP Scotty T
@@billysikes1374 that tom guy would reference that him and Johnny were golfing buddies. I know he was not very knowledgeable but I sometimes found him to be funny. One time they showed Kim davenport and nick Varner wives sitting together watching and tom said " I should of been a pool player" lol
Got to love buddy in his prime winner of any tournament talks to the guy going to back room and play for money guy says are you crazy I want the eight give me some weight but he says okay guess what buddy wins anyway
So funny Efren was still running pool in 95 that they had to mention him at least 4 times in this tournament, if not more.
His 35 years of titles and achievements (listed below) as a professional between 1985 and 2019, vividly convey that he has had the longest period of peak playing ability of any player in the 170- year history of professional poo!:

자니 아처 콤비네이션 샷 환상적이죠 레이 칼튼 형님?
그게 당신 어머니 레이 칼튼의 이름인가요?
Yes
What happened to rack 3. Archer beat the breaks off this boy
Because Townsend was not ready, he messed that first rack up royally so Archer took advantage.
@Erik S not to mention Luat gave the championship to Archer. Was all in his own head more than likely.
Archer was given everything, fact
11 9 final? And he gift wrapped the match to him, Luat gave it to JA too, Archer led 7 0 after Scotty gave him first game, and 11 9 final
Archer fouled on 2 ball up 7 0, Scott Smith wouldn't call a foul
A lot of good pool players have fallen into Scotty Townsend's trap up and down on the Emerald Coast. If you think you're a road player avoid Scotty at all costs.
A quite unnecessary warning, Robert. He died 7 years ago in a motorcycle accident: www.knoe.com/content/news/Professional-Pool-Player-Killed-in-Motorcycle-Accident-408028255.html

Transfering balls between pockets , picking up lint and chalk flakes, arranging cue chalks on rails. What's so OCD about that?
Cute comment but a grain of truth, Mac Read Jay Helfert's book "More Pool Wars" and you'll realize from the chapter on making major advances, how obsessed with the game and minute details most advanced players have to be at certain stages of their skills- and performance-elevating processes.
@Roger Scott Cathey if you were able to play at that level, you would understand. Just at the local bar I do all the above to have a better game. If you just a drunk who uses the house cue and just hits balls, hoping to get lucky, none of this matters. I take it that's your style of play. If I don't transfer, I have balls flying across the bar as the pocket is full. I've had balls come right out the pocket back onto the table by not emptying. But again, that's a higher level than you ever played.
1:18:45 no one hits that shot better than luat
@John Doe people forget about him among the other great pinoys but he was always my favorite after efren
