I just started playing the other day and ended up getting a bump in fishing levels from a guy place gifts. I'm level 5 or so fishing, now. Would it be best for me to go do other skills to get money for fishing gear or just make angler gear and use the chum caster rod?Can't remember if I hit fish collection rec for the former.
You should probably focus on other skills and get money to buy a clay minion which will give you fishing exp and money. Then I recommend you only start fishing at lvl 18 with the best gear for that point
At 18 you get pretty good gear but I recommend starting there because to lvl 20 which has the next upgrade you need much more XP. But you can wait to lvl 20 and start then(you shouldn't wait to lvl 24 because you need 6 times more from 20-24 than from 18-20
@@dotakimu999 What I was asking was whether I should just get to fishing 18 passively through minions and occasionally fishing, or if you were talking about a different level 18 skill. is clay minion better than the normal fishing minion? I'm running one of those so I can get clownfish 4 rn

Get to fishing 18 from minions and clay gives less than fish minion but it's less expensive and gives more money especially if you just started
