That's from Sacred Hindu scripture, " Geeta" ..
Perform your duty, without worrying about the fruits of your labour. Your duty is sacred and that in itself is a devotional practice.

Wise words. We should not only NOT be reliant on the outcome which is something beyond our control; but enjoy each present moment of “being” and “doing” while we’re on our path. Everything in life brings challenges, too, along the way. It’s best if we don’t resist them but accept them. Then if there’s anything we can do about them, make sure and mindfully take the right action to correct the situation. Sometimes there’s nothing we can do and any action will only make the situation worse, so, again, we accept the challenge. Then turn it over to the “Divine.” Really good video with an interesting, intelligent man. I wish it was longer. ❤

If you died right now are you a 100% sure you’d go to Heaven?
all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
What is sin? Sin is essentially any bad thing we've ever done.
Because of sin the punishment is a burning hell.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Do u know why you have to be saved?
Do u know the story of Jesus? (If yes skip next step) if not do next step. God came down to earth as a man. Lived for 33 and a half years. He never sinned his whole life. Eventually some people got jealous of him and got him convicted of phony charges. He got crucified on the cross. Died. Was buried for 3 days then he was resurrected by his own power.
Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us?
It’s because remember your son is the problem why you can’t go to Heaven right?
The only thing that can wash away your sin is the blood of Jesus Christ
“But God shows his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
God did all that to save us from hell
"Much more than, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Ephesians 2:8-9
“We’re saved by Grace through faith which is not of ourselves it is the gift of God not by works for fear any man should boast”
Salvation is not by good works like “water baptism, attending church, any good thing you do”
“For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
      ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Feeling godly sorrow leads to salvation
To be saved you have to feel guilty for being a sinner do you feel guilty for being a sinner?
“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
If you agree with all that. All you have to do be saved is this. You have to mean it.
Dear god I repent as a sinner I believe Jesus is God who died buried and resurrected so his blood can wash away my sins. So I only trust in the blood alone to save me. Not my good works. To save me from hell in Jesus name. I pray amen
Just saying it wont save you you have to mean it

to not lie, to be humble, take credit where credit is due, respect myself, respect others, speak of injustices diplomatically, to not be cruel, to not live with anger, be as kind as humanly possible, think of others, put others before myself, be tough, be strong, be passionate for the good spirit of life itself, work honestly and hard, do not let your emotions consume you, use love not as an emotion only, but as an action and rational principle. to say sorry, to allow yourself to feel bad for others, offer and seek forgiveness and redemption. do not be a slave to money and materialism. share your things with others. do not be afraid of apologizing. try to cry from joy instead of pain. have patience. forgive yourself and accept your darkness' existence, accept that is only part of you. be courageous and brave. put your principles before the world that fights you. be merciful to those who hurt me. do not speak ill of others out of pain and impulse. accept those who accept you. love family, friends and lovers unconditionally. do not give up on the mission. live life like a steadfast acheing but a living soldier, you stumble but get up, youre brave and get scared, remember your code and passion, get up again, and do not give up.. carry out your duty.
it hurts when i can never again get what i truly have wanted in life for 7 years. But i must remember life is not the pursuit of happiness, but living is simply happiness. the only wasted life is the life that has ended too soon. do not waste life by hating it. it sucks in a lot of ways. but life can be great in ways. remember that. @@ElephantWhisperer222

Reminds me of what Sri Krishna said to Arjuna in the Bhagavad-Gita:
"Thou hast the right to action, but not the fruits thereof".
Living your best life is to live life as a devotional practice, and not for the acquisition of anything more than you need.

Thy right is to work only; but never to the fruits thereof. Be thou not the producer of the fruits of (thy) actions; neither let thy attachment be towards inaction.

If the question of “is it worth it?”is reliant on a outcome, then I’d define any intimation of the future as an outcome.
    Leading me to ask:
“is the suspension of time enough?
Is merely being absorbed by the moment - in itself - a testament of a state of fulfillment?”
What if you’re still not fulfilled?
    Become who you truly are,
Then have the capacity to let yourself go to create in the present.
I’m not right, it’s just the other side of the coin.
May we all get there one day.
    Bless you Rick Rubin

Everything I make is for pure fun but people have me feeling depressed and like I'm going to be a loser if I dont become famous. I tried to convince myself I wanted to be a popular musician for a bit and got real far real quick, but the whole process made me extremely depressed so I bailed and Im way happier now.

I don’t want to be like that and it’s hard going against the grain of what we’ve been taught will make us happy. But I know I will never be happy torturing myself because I’m banking on the day it will finally be worth it.

You should stick to your own truth and the experience about it,you should never let anyone else's opinion or judgement distract you from your truth in that case you will never go in life forward or even live life ,it will always be a doomsday downfall✌️sometimes it might get hard in life but that doesn't mean or imply someone else knows you better than you so always stick to your own truth and guns ✌️

I might be wrong, but the guy with eyeglasses on argues that you don't have to think your activity as a path, because you end up hanging on the outcome of it, and losing energy on It's end. Instead, you should focus on doing the best you can, regardless of the results. You should devote to that activity and content yourself with it. Only after you end your work, you might give a thought about the outcome of the path you took, and doing that before It's just premature. It's a wise and old thought about intelectual work.

I agree, but it's still very important to think ahead of time, and think about possible outcomes before they take place. Otherwise, it's like killing someone and thinking, I'll deal with the outcomes later. But if you consider outcomes in advance, then negative outcomes might be prevented

That's the World's version of faith, Follow Jesus and he will show you truth and you will fight the devil and yourself to become great and bring Souls to God by your testimony and the blood of Jesus, that's the Good News Jesus died and resurrected 3 days later so we could be born again, Believe that he was sent by God to pay for Our Sins and that you need a Saviour and receive the kingdom of God,The Father,The Son,The Holy Spirit, Godbless you all.

This is one of the few times I've ever disagreed with Rick Rubin. I'm open to the idea that I'm being Pedantic here, but the outcome should be envisioned and given form before the task is even undertaken. "Start with the end in mind" says Dr. Steven Covey.

But what about the computer science majors who really enjoyed being in the moment of their MIT experience, only to wind up laid off by Google while still $100k in debt? You DO have to consider the outcome in a western society whose economy and corporate job security is a minefield
