Do not follow this. It brought me to some gray question mark folder and internet recovery and now my mac is stuck there. This video was completely useless and made my problem worse. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY

Wrong!!! I will save you some headaches guys, if you apple mac book is 2017 or older, go to shut down and once it shuts down press and hold command and R, it will give you that menu. It doesn’t work when you restart

Will this still allow the new purchaser to have the apps that I bought for the Mac like photoshop & logic x ?? I bought mine from a reseller and it was in the post description that it would have all the apps & it did. I want to provide the same thing for the person I’m selling it to. Just keep spamming restarts power and command r. That worked. It keep making a clicking noice when I held down command r
If I’m using a mini Mac that’s older than 2017 and I’m using a windows keyboard and theirs no command button on my keyboard then which key would I use?

What if command r doesn’t work
I did all the steps but when it comes to erase it won’t let me the apfs is greyed out won’t let me erase only other options are Mac OS Extended like 4 different option with that 2 more option ExFAT or MS-DOS(FAT) what do I do

So far it’s working excellent but let me make a word of advice. You talk way too fast you I mean like you were on hyperlink steroids that are injected into your mouth slow it down just a little bit for us! Sure hope you read and not as fast so that it retains what’s been said!

Crap... Should've watched this video first... I didn't know it will delete the OS too. I just deleted the OS with it and didn't reinstall. Now it's gonna take so much time to do the online recovery

Well, you shouldn’t really try to unlock it yourself and trying something which you don’t know as it might do some extra bit damage. You can just take it to any Apple Store, or Apple Reseller or any authenticated Tech Guy Like *MOE* where they sell MacBook They’ll just log onto iTunes on their Mac and your problem should be resolved in 10-15 minutes. They effort required is very less, it’s just about knowing the thing that you’re doing. *MOE* charges are less. By the way, technically they shouldn’t ask for anything as it isn’t a laborious work at all so if you argue enough with them, they might not charge you.
But also, they will ask you for the Apple ID and Password. So, it would be better to change the password after the work has been done just for security purposes.

Yes same question it only gives erase option on the right not erase volume group on the left.
