1300 hours on mine and loving this thing. Started a Facebook group for fellow owners. Great video!
What's the group on fb please,as I bought 1 a week ago and not tried it out yet.😊
Great review and thanks guys, we brought ours 1 month ago and have used it for 4 weeks now up to 5 hrs a day and it's great starts first pull everytime and quiet, keep these reviews coming 😀
Great to hear!
Why do so many people in this country say, 'brought' instead of 'bought'? They have two totally different meanings! And no, it's not dyslexia.
Its traditional to have the "tech expert" present the video, and the apprentice hold the camera...not t'other way round..!
Seriously though, that genny is impressively quiet. Thanks for the vid.
I have just purchased my first generator which is the same model as your review. So far very pleased with how it works and it starts first or second pull. The only issue is that the grill at the back is misaligned with the exhaust which when powered up to 3kw caused a small amount of plastic on the top edge of the grill outlet to melt. I wonder if you had a similar problem when you used the generator at high power.
Like yourselves I found the issue of grounding not too clear. The manual says consult with your local municipalities for your grounding codes. I guess they are being careful about giving safety advice as people use generators in different ways and regulations vary. For my use while camping with a tent and on a boat I believe additional grounding is not required. The live and neutral outputs appear to be isolated from ground so there is no risk of a shock via earth. Should a fault occur it is possible that the neutral instead of the “live” may become live to earth but for my use this is not an issue. I would advise getting professional help if connecting to an external circuit as there are circumstances where connecting neutral to earth is required and some installations may also need a ground survey, a long stake driven in the ground and resistance test.
I don’t use the products you review but still watch the reviews and enjoy x
HI hope you put more oil in the generator it needs to be filled to fill point,
Thanks Mazzy & Dan for a great review 👍
Hi Dan and Mazzy , A Great review and Mazzy knows her Stuff , Very impressed with the product and your review Dan and Mazzy , Hope Alls well , Thanks for Sharing ,Take care .
Just ordered one then found this vid!👍
I drunk ordered one of these last night, doing some research before it arrives, seems good.
Bought the MXR3500,not used it yet,but looks the business.😁
Great review Dan and Mazzy, this generator looks very impressive and is a lot quieter compared to some generators I have heard.
Great review! I like the unit and have been considering it but I had concerns about the pull start, and it does looks like I might have to get my neighbour to start it for me.
Thanks
Keep doing all the reviews as I find them interesting and have been useful to my camping needs, the genaraters and power banks and solar panels, keep up the good work Dan & Mazzy
Nice review Thank you ! How long did it take you to start generator ?! Having trouble with mine runs for few secs then stops ! Annoying .............
Fill the oil. It took time but perfect everything once it started.
@@TravelTrollsTV thank you guess after few pulls oil dropped a bit will try and put a little more in ….cheers 👍🍻
Great review! Definitely not too noisy!
A great review of a very useful bit of equipment. I think that there could possibly be a massive boost to the sales of generators, because of the possibility of power outages, during the coming Winter. It’s certainly a useful source of back up power for van lifers like you guys. I was impressed with your prior knowledge of the generator,Mazzy, great work. That is very handy, when Dan isn’t around to do the main presentation of the review! This generator is remarkably quiet, which is great. It’s a far cry from the big diesel generators used by fairgrounds, for example. Mind you, they power rides and lighting, so it can’t really be used as comparison with your compact petrol one. Thanks for another great vlog. Take care.🚐👍✋
Hi dan and mazzy good review 👍
Very good review it wouldn't take long to charge your van Battery's aswell size and weight will you take it to Spain?
good review thank you
Brilliant 😊
Hi Dan regarding the you could run this in your garage, always be aware that excellent ventilation is required, (such as the exhaust facing an outdoor) to avoid any possible carbon monoxide poisoning. Otherwise great product 👍
I love a generator.
Guys for the earthing you need a metal stake driven in the soil 1 foot or longer or so with a wire fastened to it then fastened to the earth bolt on the generator it makes it safer when in use but will still work without it I made up a wire with a ring terminal on the end that goes on the earth point then its fixed onto a long metal nail then drive it into the soil . a metal tent peg would also do it but the deeper the better
You were making me wince Dan when you were trying to start the generator with your bad arm 😬
Very tempted to get an order in 🙂
Hi Dan and Mazzy great wee review 👌and Dan, the English plug that came with the generator in the bag is extremely versitile and will fit power outlets in several countries, mainly Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland including the Islands so keep it safe 🤣🤣 You should drive an earth rod into the ground to get rid of any electricity in the event of a power leakage to earth, the frame cannot be gauenteed to provide this for several reasons therefore won't allow the earth current to ground safely, then if you touched the frame not knowing it was live it could well be your last, dont mess with electricity at this level guys, stay safe. I believe Screwfix sell earth rods and use at least 6mm cable to connect it to the generator or whatever cable the manufacturer reccomends. ❤👍
Poor Dan, you should get that shoulder looked at again
Paid £350 new for mine
Plug a kettle in
Left a like Dan and mazzy 🙂
1st
cool vid nice vid thank lee
Second time lucky for the review 😀
Just be aware Dan & Mazzy. The inverter built into the generator is not pure sine wave so it shouldn't be used with delicate electronics such as computers & phones etc. I would suggest you use it to charge your solar banks (Jackery etc) & then charge the delicate kit with them rather than use it direct. 🥰
The inverter on that generator is pure sine wave.
