I DISAGREE AT MANY POINTS.. the word selfish doesn't fit when it comes to good deeds. The selfish word has negative connotation and therefore can never be used or related when positive or good things are done. The best word be envious Muslims must be envious when doing good deeds which doesn't mean they care for their hereafter only.. This philosophy is wrong just because when we do good deeds there is definitely the benefit to you and to others.. for example you find someone thirsty you offer him water when you feel his thirst is gone you feel satisfied this is where dopamine is released. So dopamine is released at the instances where you do good activities and you feel relieved and satisfied. All we need neuroplasticity in which we must program ourselves where is dopamine needed. Completely suppressing dopamine results ambitiousless human without the aim.. Prophet SAW was selfless person yet his dopamine was releasing by the guidance to humanity. He had a mission and instances in hadiths are recorded when Umar RA and Abu bakar RA were always competing for getting more virtue against each other therefore they were envious not selfish,.. The suffi philosophy does seem attractive but it defies logic.. I agree we should take care of others to help them in getting their heaven but i don't understand how a muslim would get heaven if he has worked for his heaven only. How can a muslim get heaven for himself only, this is wrong question itself because Islam talks about brotherhood, duties towards other muslims, neighborhood, Jihad, stopping evil. Dawah A simple example we are told to stop evil, when we do such we help the person to bring him on right track and to help him get jannah
