Hey guys, I just wanted to try to get onto more of a positive track, and start discussing the future of New World in a more positive and constructive way! What are your ideas? Or Do you think it is too late ?
Forgot to mention the in game item bloat. How many items are there that exist to only craft one item. And then there's all the legendary mats for weapon crafting, that everyone has hundreds of, and they're only worth pennies. Because the crafted 600gs weapons are for the most part terrible, and not worth the material investment. I'd like to see ACTUAL legendary weapon crafting quests like old school WoW or GW2. That takes months to complete, but is actually worth your time. It wouldn't be hard to make them worth crafting, but not substantially more powerful than other weapons. I need a carrot AGS... BAD. It should be a relatively simple add, to create a true LEGENDARY tier weapon crafting system that can use already existing (otherwise useless) in game item assets. Maybe write a few introductory quests to introduce the system, and bob's your uncle, EVERYONE is off to the races trying to craft themselves a new weapon.
Love all the ideas mentioned. Gearsets/inventory management updates are CRITICAL. A few I didn't hear or missed: - Swimming/boats/multiple continents/mounts - Fishing/music minigames - More help text on items (so I don't have to google basic things like "what does a golden scarab do?") - Trading post needs to let us search/browse items based on partial item names (e.g. "Cut Brilliant") and add item tier filters (e.g. Tier 3-5) This game has so much potential, it deserves more players, and more of AGS dev resources.
hello 5head SG, my suggestions regarding overflowing inventory items & limited unique items, i suggest AGS make auction system other than normal listing method in TP (eg; sell 100 infused pot for 0.01g each starting bid, if none sold, delete this item), this would benefits players, to get rid of their unused stuffs 100% & AGS, in server data by reducing amount data hold by 1 character. (i know there will be argument how the auction system works, but theres plenty of games doing great job at it, simply copy them, u can hide the last 1 hour closing bidding time and RNG the final dateline within this 1 hour, so the last person to bid win, if people bidding for BIS item) also AGS need to increase gold cap for this to work, nobody would auction bis item that go over gold cap
You hit the nail on the head right away. Gear/Inventory management has to be made better. I love all content in this game, but absolutely hate switching gear, respecing, etc constantly. I've put 2.5k hours in this game and several hundred of that is probably doing time wasting things like gear/inventory management. I'm not wasting a single more second of my time digging through storages to find what I need. I know they specifically brought this up in their last Forged in Aeturnum video, but I think they are making a big mistake by not improving it incrementally. An incremental approach is almost always better than trying to do everything all at once. Incremental allows for smaller low risk changes that deliver value more quickly with the chance to get feedback from the community. Anyway, I love this game just like you and am anxious to get back myself. In the meantime I'll just be watching your videos and keeping up with what's going on in the game that way. Territory Control needs more meaning, yeah we get the discounts and gold... But the only reason we want an entire territory is for the only town.. An idea would be the ability to upgrade the "roads" from a path, to Dirt, to rocks to Paved... each lv you get 5% bonus to speed. (i did add this to the forums) Territory's need more meanings. I think Random homes in the world not just the towns and that you can purchase as well would be cool to the game. Transmog NEEDS to happen easy way to do this is you click the item an option to add to outfits then the item disappears then its yours to select forever. Company Houses and company storage where anyone can dump items for anyone to take (Control set by company leader) One thing i really would love is Real Farming, In Blessed online you were able to have a farm at your house and grow a few items and harvest them every 12 hours. It would be cool to have a plot you can grow motes or tress of your desire its just 1 little benefit to a house and not a killer to anything. Last DO NOT BRING LEADER BOARDS. Leader boards are toxic and will bring so much toxicity to the game.
Opening the Trophy box on PTR really put into perspective how terrible that system really is. If they really want to keep the 5 trophies per house, I think an easy solution would be to remove the need for having 3x of every trophy and combine the bonus. The current problem is that we don't actually have 15 Trophy spots, we only have 5 because you have to have 3x of each one anyway.
One of the things I absolutely hate is skin stealing. When you're farming skins and someone comes along and skins your kills. I've had 2 people just follow me around and try and skin my kills before I can, it's beyond frustrating. I wish they'd only allow skinning on mobs that you tag (you or group members), like other mmo's do.
My god… the point with the trophies hit home. Having to fast travel to each home is a nuisance at least. Then the fact that the trophies go into your storage instead of your inventory is just silly. Like… why? Give us the toggle!
This is a good video with lots of good ideas. I don't understand how anybody could interpret it as toxic or hateful, instead of just a clear list of examples of how the game could improve. Judging by the game's inability to attract and/or retain players since it's initial launch, changes are obviously needed, and refusing to acknowledge that isn't a form of loyalty or dedication to the game. Unfortunately, I don't think the developers have ever had a shortage of good ideas on how to improve the game. Most of this video could've been created within a week of the game's launch, or whichever update implemented new major content/features. There just seems to be some failure in the feedback loop where AGS is unable to hear players' concerns/complaints/suggestions, and AGS is also unable to properly communicate their priorities and what upcoming features will actually bring to the game. Today provided a perfect example of this, with AGS organizing a War on the PTR in 2 days to test the Leaderboard feature, without any new information about the widely anticipated weapon/armor balance changes. They've already received almost unanimous feedback that the basic design of Leaderboards isn't likely to positively affect the game, and players also voiced their irritation that features that were announced to be coming to the PTR "in the very near future" weren't part of the initial PTR release. I don't know what AGS expects to achieve with the PTR War, other than to provide a final stress test of the feature before they release it to Live Servers without meaningful changes. It almost perfectly reflects the same issue as the Group Finder Tool, except that Leaderboards won't just be a delayed feature that nobody values, it may actively make instanced activities worse as the Leaderboards promote aberrant behavior as players try to manipulate their Leaderboard rankings.
Excellent break down of what New World needs to 'get better'. I don't think anything you've said will be seen as 'hate', but is in fact solid constructive feedback to improve the game. That being said I also think AGS needs to project a most visible roadmap of new content for the game. In my mind leaderboards, transmog and gearset swapping is not content. Content is new zones to explore, new missions and quests that provide meaningful progression for my character. I definitely like your idea of company wide quests and a company house! That would be fun and useful for all players. Right now my company has an elite group that does nothing but muts while the rest of us are struggling to increase gear scores and expertise running chest run after chest run. This grinding is boring and mind numbing. Thanks again for this video. Well done!
i too had a lot of passion for new world. have well over 2000 hours played on my main character. unfortunately my character disappeared after a server merge. i tried customer support and bug forums but now 10 days later still nothing. last communication from them was on day 5.."Sorry for the delay getting back to you, the Devs team is still investigating your case, unfortunately they haven’t provided an estimated time to resolve it, but I’ll keep you informed as soon as I get new information." seems crazy that in a game like this, a character you spent so much time on could just get lost and take so long to recover.....
My New World experience is see a UA-cam video of something I want to have, then gathering materials. I find out I need a certain item only to find it's only dropped by a boss that takes 10 people to kill. I then turn off the game and find another game to play.
My biggest issue is gear, it needs a major overhaul. Ward is crazy strong, hence making the rest more or less pointless and annoying to grind with all the rng (should be rather smooth progressionpath to get named ward gear if that is the end goal). Luck is greedy and gimping yourself feels unfair to the group. There is perks that lowers your threat, does anyone use it? :O On that i feel the Tanks needs a easier way to get aggro and keep it, more options and the same goes for healers (spent a lot of time with both roles, and in the end im done with both roles until changed). The focus on GS and mutations has made the game feel way more toxic then before, GS does not show your perks so it's a weird number to follow. Mutations should never gone from 1 to 10 (5 tops), with low population on servers it's really really hard to get groups going for it unless it's m1. I like the game but it's time for another break :)
As a crafter and 3v3 enjoyer, my top gripes would certainly be: 1.We need better sorting for gear and loot, add something like different color borders. I personally like to paint all my sets with a unique color, so why can't they have borders of that color? 2.Alchemy chests are less lucrative than picking up rocks on a beach and the prices of basic materials are very high as a result. 3.3v3 would certainly benefit from a ranking system. I'm a below average PvPer, and often it feels like a coin flip, where less than 40% of matches are neck-and-neck. Just those three would be enormous QoL and overall improvements. As I still remember the days of trekking to each town to withdraw materials, having global access to inventory keeps me satisfied on the state of storage space, but that might change.
I have left for ffxiv because there I can simply queue for dungeons and get into a party. Also, cross servers parties. I know the few resources they have (devs, ui, qa) are overwhelmed, but new world feels like a draft for a good game that is still some 4 years away from being really done. I really had some fun after 60 and upgrading my armor, but after a month I really could not stand it anymore. Hope this game get better in the long run
I see you talked about most if not all the points we needed to be in the game, also i would like to say that major combat trophies should be more effective than +1% damage from basic trophies since its so rare and huge investment to put in it
They were much higher at launch. I'm pretty sure minor gave you 5%, basic was 7%, and major was 9%. You were able to do crazy amounts of damage with just basic trophies
The reason why I started watching your videos was because they were not too long, biased or toxic. To say so is to not have the ability to understand what biased or toxic means. Your points are as valid as the next. The issue is NW is losing players, I see this on the fresh server I'm on and the server my first character is on. My company and friends list is a grave yard, I stay because I play a little most days and have a good time on occasions, but I have got to the point where I am asking WHY as I queue for a mutation for half an hour. Why not make queuing for mutations global across ALL servers? Is it really that hard? Get those guys that put WS into space.... They seem smart!
You’ve missed the #1 most important change that MUST happen, and will 100% be the largest contributing factor to the game’s long term survival. Open Server Select. The fact that AGS recently increased their transfer fees and increased the cooldowns from 3 days to 30 days is insane to me. They’re not only ignoring a major flaw but quite literally making it worse. They’ve created an MMO but somehow managed to miss the first “M”. Allowing players to select which server they wish to play on at the login screen (as most MMOs do) would bring so much more interaction to the community. More new faces to play with, a larger trade community, and more competition in certain places (competition is the #1 contributing factor to most games’ long term success)
I want an armoury for gear sets which I know is coming, but it needs to be done to the point where I feel compelled to want to collect more sets...finish my mining set, finish my smithing set etc. and it needs to be fluid and quick to swap for just crafting. It does both, adds a much needed missing feature to improve QoL...while also incentivising people to explore and farm gear more, essentially having more activity to do for us players. Another thing I think they really need to do...clean up the territory quests, needs to be more 'dailies' or activities from each town that sends us out in to that territory - working towards whatever goal. just clean up the quests and encourage people to want to farm Cutless Keys or Mourningdale XP, have us feel like we're building towards something. They tried this with town boards but it needs to be more and offer more. Faction tokens, even territory XP should be working towards cosmetic items or housing, imagine getting 100 rep in First Light and then having access to a First Light vendor for things in your house or on your gear. Needs to be a reason to be inspired to want to do things in each territory
I don't understand why they can't tidy it up so that I can see the members of my team in the crowd as healers, that little colorful dot, that's nothing. It was so easy to mark it in, for example, AION. There is a set of smiles or numbers that the player can put above the head of the group leader. And within the group, it's something that everyone sees - but only that group. The healer would have a much easier time, and a focus could be given to the enemy
Got declined from genesis m3 as fs/vg cause there is always this one thing mage hunter, projectile shield, resistances to mage and not enough damage. War rosters preferring other weapons as fire staff users are a lot of the time benched in competitive servers. The only ranged weapon without utility and no ability being viable further then 30m. Can’t maneuver like dex users to fight great sword/hatchet/sword and shield at close range either. The melee hit change was needed for dex weapons with all there haste, dodges and tools in their kit that helps them move fast and block attacks so it did help but for fire staff users burnout is not a viable tool. It’s so frustrating alot of the oprs that happen half the players are dex only before wars you will see more bruisers as they practice. It ends up in one team spawn camping every other opr one team is at their base because you can do damage and get kills but can’t win opr without some bruisers. I’ve reached endgame full bis gear on fresh start but feel like I can’t play the game unless I switch my weapons.
Pros of fire staff: It has enough damage, it is a S tier weapon in 3v3s as I stated before about the range it’s ideal for the fire staff, great aoe. But that’s about it I hate being forced to go flamethrower cause no other ability is viable enough.
Best video ever bro! I have 1500 hours into the game and I'm bored out of my mind. There's literally nothing left to do.. These idea's aren't that obtuse, it's like no one from the dev team has ever played an mmo before. They could almost cut and paste features from other games and make this game so much better. They're clearly more focused on bring your dog to work day.
I’d like to see a feature where I could collect up all of my house’s items into inventory all at once without having to close out and having to re-buy the house. In my case, I’ve had a trophy stuck in a wall since game inception. Would be nice to retrieve and place it properly. GMs could not assist me with retrieving this one trophy by removing it from the house and simply placing into my storage… The only present solution is frustrating!
I first started playing at launch (well, betas too I guess), and stopped a few months after that. I Re-started playing with the Fresh Start launch, and just stopped playing again a few days ago. Here are the main things that drove me away: 1) This is the biggest by far: A feeling of "fairness" in PvP, or rather, a lack thereof. This is a combination of several things, including weapon / healing balance, the power gap between the top gear and more entry-level stuff, the power gap between different levels, team balance in OPR, and exploit abuse. These are all their own issues, but come together to form the main problem for me: PvP rarely feels fair. When you do get a fight that actually feels fair, it's an absolute blast. Probably the best combat experience I've had in an MMO, generally speaking. The issue is that finding those fair-feeling fights is incredibly rare. In my experience, fights typically feel ridiculously one-sided with either you absolutely crushing the other guy, or getting absolutely crushed. It's incredibly disheartening to hit someone with an attack for 10% of their health or so, only to be hit by one of their attacks and get dropped to half health. It's incredibly frustrating to watch someone just plow through your full combo without bothering to dodge or block, dodge their combo when they close the gap, and then get obliterated in 2 or 3 attacks after you've expended all of your defensive options. It's not a matter of winning or losing fights- it's a matter of the fight feeling fair. Slaughtering someone when you felt zero legitimate threat from them isn't satisfying. Losing not because you got outplayed, but because the other guy just hits wildly harder and is barely affected by your attacks is very frustrating. Win or lose, a fight can be a lot of fun if it feels like it could have gone either way. Win or lose, a fight is boring at best and incredibly disheartening at worst if it felt completely decided before it even began. 2) THE JANK This wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker on its own; I've played plenty of rather janky games where they are simply fun enough for the jank to be easily overlook. The issue with new world is that with the #1 issue- combat so often feeling incredibly unfair- any amount of jank on top of that is instantly infuriating. Seemingly escaping from an unfair-feeling situation only to get teleported back into a root you (on your screen) avoided is infuriating. Nearly beating a vastly more powerful opponent against all odds only for your killing blow to not function correctly (or no at all) is instant rage. Already being irritated by unfair-feeling combat and having the game derp out in any way just triggers an instant, "WITH THIS SHIT AGAIN" sort of response. Jank can be overlooked with enough fun, but if you're already annoyed, it amplifies it to the nth degree. 3) The seemingly-incompetent development cycle. The devs are clearly fairly capable, as New World is a huge, and in many ways impressive, project. That said, when some immediately-obvious bug gets introduced and then just -stays there- for patch after patch, it makes it feel like the devs don't care, or just aren't capable of doing well. When you discover that yet another perk doesn't work as described (or doesn't work at all) and has been that way for a good while, it makes your wonder wtf the devs are doing. Things like Incinerate getting a bug that makes it only ever apply a single burn stack no matter what (effect fully upgraded and when critically hitting)... in the same patch that the devs attempted to buff the Fire Staff by raising the damage of burn stacks to 10%, and then not addressing that bug (which is instantly obvious if you use the skill even once) to this day... It just erodes any confidence that the devs can ever make the game feel good. Obviously that particular bug isn't the end of the world- just an example of the kind of persistent annoyances that just eat away at my faith in the capabilities of the devs.
The idea of territory control sounds good...for the peoples controlling them, having items only crafted in the territory house will create an even larger gap between players who invest more time than the casual players or players that are not in a rulling company. All the other ideas I agree with. I appreciate all the effort and time you invest in making this videos, they are great for the community, if only AGS would take them in consideration, we would have an amazing game 👍
I maybe didnt explain well, what I meant was outside of territory control, any company could purchase a company headquarters, and then upgrade it, completely separate form controlling any settlement of territory
Agreed with so many of your points. So many of these items can be fixed so quickly. Also with the target dummy you craft in your house you cant even hit it to test your damage, it is so dumb
The worst… is crafting something, YOU ALREADY HAVE, BUT LOST IN INVENTORY, and then buying it on the TP, upgrade it with 9k umbral to 625, to then find that same piece in your inventory “sea of gear” as you’re setting up the build. …. Ooof
ADD A DAMN BARBER SHOP ALREADY! They said this isn't a priority LOL as always their priorities are no where near what the players want. By the time they add a barber shop, they'll be down to 7K max player base.
to filter items, you can give the ability to add a comment to any item, and add a sorting filter by comments I think it's much easier to implement than sets, dressing sets, etc.
IT's no where near being a "dead game". But it's a "dull" and "unworthy" game. And it cant be fixed w/o total reshape game's main mechanics, game engine and sandbox model.
What is so unfortunate is the reality of time like even if they took this video and said we are fixing everything listed it would be years before seeing anything if the sort
How a company could destroy 2 games in 1 year ? Amazon should stop act like they know everything about pretty much anything, Change the fuking engine or this game will be dead %100,there will be many new mmoprgs relaesed in 2023 and after 2023 ,There is no chance this game will survive with this AGS team.
I played FSS for 2 months. Massivly invested time like i did when the game started. I'm at 1500 hours and again, quit New World. Why? Nothing really changed since the original release: - Weapons stay broken for MONTHS. This is absolutely unreal and i've never seen a game beeing broken without a fix/balance for such a long amount of time. This became nothing less than a freaking joke. AGS just doesnt care about GS beeing too f-ing op and mages useless. NOONE does play mages. Our server has NO mages at all. Besides that: - Same exploits (Dupe exploit reintroduced with winter-event, 3 new musket exploits, skill copy exploit, shield fast run exploit etc etc etc....) - Same bugs - No real new stuff except Brimstone Devs clearly do NOT play the game, no matter what they're talking. I wanted to give NW another chance after a year had passed but i came back to the same shitshow i originally left for. Exploits, uncommitted devs and a gamelead who has NO clue what is wrong with the game besides the community telling it for months. I wont be back, not a 3rd time. NW had its chance and so do think a shitton of players who returned for the FSS and left again. NW lost ALL players who came back for the FSS. This alone tells everything.
The problem is this is things we asked for for months. Example pvp people have been asking for different color healing circles few months after launch. Also a balance system to help with no healers in opr. They never even worked on t his till a year later? I understand they have been fixing a lot of bugs. But at this point i felt like they should have just delayed the game a few years to get lots of content then slowy release content as needed. Sadly i dont think 1 new zone a year with maybe a weapon 3-4 dungeons will save this game. Things we need, Whare house re work to help find stuff better, Gear sets, Be able to dye skins, Be able to transmog items, Leader boards, Mounts, Swiming, NO guild actions (No being able to edit what ranks can do what or edit the ranks, Also no guild castle or guild bank to help people have more stuff to do. Example Albion online you have a island that you upgrade to get perks.) I know most of these were listed. I highly agree with this video. Sadly coming from a player with 2,512 hours i think they should just shut this down take 1-2 years to fix everything and make alot of content. Then Slowy realase these things so your always AHEAD of the game. Example wow is already working on the next expansions and has this whole expansion to slowy come out with stuff keeping people happy. Also as he stated why have fraction venders? There is only bags of holding and daily rewards? The gear is horrible they should do as stated in video. give skins and what not.
I have to say, your manner of speaking in and over new world is quite soothing and easy listening, i find your guides very helpfull and it makes me enjoy the game much more. Ty for the vids en i hope you wont stop.
When it comes to new world you are the first channel I look at. Also have you notice that you have to pay about one gold to make gypsum orb and about two gold to make a gypsum loot box's.
Better for me would be larger servers or servers dedicated to a certain play style ie PvP,PvE, RP. As it is tiny servers and squashing these different styles together just dilutes the chance of meeting people that play your style. I love PvE but the group finder makes for a toxic elitist experience. Unless you’re over geared for the content, you don’t get invited! This leads to a lonely experience for newer players or players just joining a new server. A lot of the NW player base seems very elitist and not that good at the game (from what I’ve experienced). I’ve been playing MMOs for 20years but I fail to penetrate the social dynamics of NW no matter what I try. 😢 with such tiny servers, social dynamics near to be near perfect and they are anything but perfect, in fact I would say they are the worst I’ve ever experienced. Sadly, UA-camrs don’t hold players responsible for their part in gaming as this would not be favourable to the aims of their UA-cam channel but something needs to be said about the responsibilities of players. The game is great, I love it but, social trends of gamers drastically needs addressing!!! Will it be addressed? I very much doubt it because people don’t like to hear how they are doing things wrong, instead they would prefer to hear how it’s the devs fault and the game isn’t built correctly. Sigh…

I know another tooltip is the pvp one, they said the luck added to it is to give people incentive to flag more but then it doesn’t even say it in the tooltip; seems counterintuitive.
I think they moved resources to other games and working on creating a expansion for new world. They clearly lucking man power which means they lacking a budget. Amazon stock price went down 20% in last 6 mouths, and everything has to do with that. We are waiting for more drop in stock in next year or two, meaning - player will have to be patient with low budget team trying to keep game afloat through this world recession. I would just recommend enjoy the game with that in mind and play other game while waiting for slow updates. Team is doing amazing job, and they do what they can I am sure if it. Do I need any to see changes like GS 2 shoot in OPR or musk madness or hatchet endless get away, or hammer+axe insta light armour kill - yes I would like to see that, and much more but it’s an ocean of gameplay it come in waves.

lol there is a big issue with cutlas keys fort, has been for awhile, I will cover it in a video soon if it isn't fixed, but if you look on the forums under feedback, you will find it
Hey 5head love the content, question about euthyphro its an ongoing topic on the new world forums its a boss that drops a really good rapier but its location is unknown do you have any idea where it is ? some say its a hidden boss ? idk wanted to ask you cuz well ur 5head haha
Euthyphro is not in the game yet, whenever something is added to the database but not in the game people always create the myth around secret boss etc, but sadly I haven't seen or heard anything to lead me to believe that.. Simply isn't in, much like the vengeful weaponsmith set :)
They need to make all weapons decent in pve. The gap between melee and ranged/magic is huge. You won't get into late game stuff if you don't use certain melee weapons,that's bs
First of all thank you for making these new world videos they really did help me a lot. I started New World and liked it but it was my experience with toxic players that made me quit. It is not just bad features that are making people leave. I hope that the game gets fixed for everyone and you have great experiences with it for a long time. I just can't follow you
The Final Fantasy swords kinda sums it up for me. The gritty pirate/age of sail feel left the game when players started flapping these 200kg swords like they were made of paper, while wearing angel wings... It got silly. But if that's what sells cosmetics these days i guess they have to follow the money.
its good that u try to get to them as nice as u can be but i dont expect anything from new world anymore. i am still playing everyday to kill some time and i like it overall (even though i kinda hate it at the same time since everyrthing i want to do seems to somehow be incoplete) but that is just until the next game comes out.i am waiting for throne and liberty and corepunk, even if they manage to be worse i will not even think twice to unistall new world once more. and i do believe that's the case for many more, nw was very promising and when it went live i thought: ok ill just think its beta,it will need a couple years and it will be a great game.and indeed after a year i has come a long way but that is as far as it will go. they refuse to see some major issues not bug related for example being able to wear medium and tank a party while also killing them just by having a healer behind u, tanks have no skills for pvp(no more than the rest classes at least) and maaaaaany many more. so do i want to play a game to run around for chests 3hours per day?no. do i want to play a game that has unbalanced pvp?no. in general its a big fat NO. just a matter of time until the next game
Too many weapon types have CC. There should be a synergy between playstyles not just one weapon combo type dominating the player base. CC skills should also not do a ton of damage. CC should be a support type weapon skill and not a front of the line tank ability. This is why there are so many hammer axe builds in mass pvp. Doubt anything will ever change with the skill system though.
I have 4 k+ hrs and the problem right now is the bottleneck from inventory. It’s stopping me from playing because I have too much stuff and no way to sort
the quest system is so confusing >.< like right now i am level 34 and i have several main story quests available and tracking, but most of them i picked up when i hit 30. how can it be main story if it's all over the place. and also, there are quests for factions that have been bugged for months, so severely limits what quests you can actually do. i hope they fix these soon as it infuriates me no end as i know they have the money to sort it as it's from amazon ffs. i don't expect them to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at them, but they are definitely not short on cash to be able to sort them, all the same.
Why not make boxes inside storages (like folders in windows) you can put whatever you want inside it, name it however you want, and perhaps change its color to differenciate them from one another. Inside them you can store anything you want and the box will keep the weight from whats inside it
The real problem with NW: it is noob friendly, it's so easy to complete sets and weapon that's anoy, there's nothing unique on the game, I remember back when I played tibia 7.1 or so, there's weapon and armors that only a very few people have it, it was so cool seeing or having it or just have it as an objective to reach, cuz now ask yourself what are your objective on game? Complete and DG m10? It can be done in one week, have an 625 set? It's also not that hard, I don't know if I write it all right cuz English is not my language, but all the point is: in new world we lack of cool objective to pursue
Listening to all the items you listed, I think I see what the problem is - a lot of the change you list that needs changing, the same team to work on it, the UI team. They only can do so much at the same time.

Biggest things that have stopped me playing is the desnyc in PvP and the musket spam that seems to be getting worse. PvP (OPR) is what I main in New World but it's just not fun in its current state, sop I'm taking a break until I hear that desync or the servers are better. I try really hard to not let it annoy me but after a week of coming away from each New World session frustrated I decided it was probably time to take a break. Sucks man, my two fav games EFT and New World are in states where I no longer find them enjoyable.

I don't want servers with 30,000 concurrent players, nobody does, none of the game's regions need a server with even a quarter of that capacity! But you just merged 2 EU servers together so they had a 200+ login queue on a weekday, and then you locked the server for transfers and character creation with no communication about the problem. Are you working on a system where that doesn't happen?

I’ve played NW for 3.8K hours and my wife over 5.4k and totally agree with 95% of the contents on this video,I quit the game twice already and started playing after Tempest and Brim update. The only disagreements is giving bigger and richer companies opportunities like that is going to make them so much bigger and there won’t be any chance for smaller one to own a territory since on many servers they pay big to players for war. The other issue to me is shard sellers,they are ruining this game so bad.

Mate not the shard sellers are bad. Rather the game is with its mandatory 8 sets if you play tank and dps. I'm at ilvl 613 with 2 out of 8 sets and thought about to buy shards just do have the possibility to grind in higher m. M is a joke but the ilvl isn't. If you don't have proper ivll you die in oneshot which results in a Shitty game design where newbies are mandatory to farm / buy shards if they want to Compete intime/properly.
+ 2 trophys added to each house when you get 60 would be a nice QOL change / Auto loot needs to be added ASAP / would love to get our third weapon back when this " mysterious " paid expansion comes out loved having three weapons in alpha
They need practice wars. Also, top pvp companies have the strategy down. Builds, and the way to win wars. Increase company to 150. So, more people can learn abd then make their own guild.
All the changes and suggestions are good, but what I really want from the game is to FIX it.. Fix what is made and only THEN add new things. Adding new things will bring more bugs and at the end make the game just unplayable.
I feel that the legendary craft mods needed to craft particular items need a rework aswell. There are so many good weapons that drop off world mobs or dungeons that they are useless now. They sell for around 5-10g on my server. They need to do something with these or it's a dead bit of the game.
I'm still kind of annoyed with the luck perk/trophies. Paid alot for it just to realize it did seem to make a difference. Storage definitely needs work. I'm a hoarder and have to regularly drop or sell things i really don't want to.
I’d honestly just settle for when you go to craft a item you had a toggle button. “Pvp perk pool on or off” that way I can choose what type of item I wanna craft from add my parts and bits and know if I’m gonna get ward gear or pvp stuff And honestly can we just combine the wards into one and the banes into one like I don’t want so many different item sets my god lol like a couple for pve sure and couple for pvp sure but my lord 🤣

Forgot to mention the in game item bloat. How many items are there that exist to only craft one item. And then there's all the legendary mats for weapon crafting, that everyone has hundreds of, and they're only worth pennies. Because the crafted 600gs weapons are for the most part terrible, and not worth the material investment.
I'd like to see ACTUAL legendary weapon crafting quests like old school WoW or GW2. That takes months to complete, but is actually worth your time. It wouldn't be hard to make them worth crafting, but not substantially more powerful than other weapons. I need a carrot AGS... BAD. It should be a relatively simple add, to create a true LEGENDARY tier weapon crafting system that can use already existing (otherwise useless) in game item assets. Maybe write a few introductory quests to introduce the system, and bob's your uncle, EVERYONE is off to the races trying to craft themselves a new weapon.

Love all the ideas mentioned. Gearsets/inventory management updates are CRITICAL. A few I didn't hear or missed:
- Swimming/boats/multiple continents/mounts
- Fishing/music minigames
- More help text on items (so I don't have to google basic things like "what does a golden scarab do?")
- Trading post needs to let us search/browse items based on partial item names (e.g. "Cut Brilliant") and add item tier filters (e.g. Tier 3-5)
This game has so much potential, it deserves more players, and more of AGS dev resources.
hello 5head SG, my suggestions regarding overflowing inventory items & limited unique items, i suggest AGS make auction system other than normal listing method in TP (eg; sell 100 infused pot for 0.01g each starting bid, if none sold, delete this item),
this would benefits players, to get rid of their unused stuffs 100% & AGS, in server data by reducing amount data hold by 1 character.
(i know there will be argument how the auction system works, but theres plenty of games doing great job at it, simply copy them, u can hide the last 1 hour closing bidding time and RNG the final dateline within this 1 hour, so the last person to bid win, if people bidding for BIS item)
also AGS need to increase gold cap for this to work, nobody would auction bis item that go over gold cap

You hit the nail on the head right away. Gear/Inventory management has to be made better. I love all content in this game, but absolutely hate switching gear, respecing, etc constantly. I've put 2.5k hours in this game and several hundred of that is probably doing time wasting things like gear/inventory management. I'm not wasting a single more second of my time digging through storages to find what I need. I know they specifically brought this up in their last Forged in Aeturnum video, but I think they are making a big mistake by not improving it incrementally. An incremental approach is almost always better than trying to do everything all at once. Incremental allows for smaller low risk changes that deliver value more quickly with the chance to get feedback from the community. Anyway, I love this game just like you and am anxious to get back myself. In the meantime I'll just be watching your videos and keeping up with what's going on in the game that way. Territory Control needs more meaning, yeah we get the discounts and gold... But the only reason we want an entire territory is for the only town.. An idea would be the ability to upgrade the "roads" from a path, to Dirt, to rocks to Paved... each lv you get 5% bonus to speed. (i did add this to the forums) Territory's need more meanings. I think Random homes in the world not just the towns and that you can purchase as well would be cool to the game. Transmog NEEDS to happen easy way to do this is you click the item an option to add to outfits then the item disappears then its yours to select forever. Company Houses and company storage where anyone can dump items for anyone to take (Control set by company leader) One thing i really would love is Real Farming, In Blessed online you were able to have a farm at your house and grow a few items and harvest them every 12 hours. It would be cool to have a plot you can grow motes or tress of your desire its just 1 little benefit to a house and not a killer to anything.
Last DO NOT BRING LEADER BOARDS. Leader boards are toxic and will bring so much toxicity to the game.
Opening the Trophy box on PTR really put into perspective how terrible that system really is. If they really want to keep the 5 trophies per house, I think an easy solution would be to remove the need for having 3x of every trophy and combine the bonus. The current problem is that we don't actually have 15 Trophy spots, we only have 5 because you have to have 3x of each one anyway.

One of the things I absolutely hate is skin stealing. When you're farming skins and someone comes along and skins your kills. I've had 2 people just follow me around and try and skin my kills before I can, it's beyond frustrating.
I wish they'd only allow skinning on mobs that you tag (you or group members), like other mmo's do.

My god… the point with the trophies hit home. Having to fast travel to each home is a nuisance at least. Then the fact that the trophies go into your storage instead of your inventory is just silly. Like… why?

This is a good video with lots of good ideas. I don't understand how anybody could interpret it as toxic or hateful, instead of just a clear list of examples of how the game could improve. Judging by the game's inability to attract and/or retain players since it's initial launch, changes are obviously needed, and refusing to acknowledge that isn't a form of loyalty or dedication to the game.
Unfortunately, I don't think the developers have ever had a shortage of good ideas on how to improve the game. Most of this video could've been created within a week of the game's launch, or whichever update implemented new major content/features. There just seems to be some failure in the feedback loop where AGS is unable to hear players' concerns/complaints/suggestions, and AGS is also unable to properly communicate their priorities and what upcoming features will actually bring to the game.
Today provided a perfect example of this, with AGS organizing a War on the PTR in 2 days to test the Leaderboard feature, without any new information about the widely anticipated weapon/armor balance changes. They've already received almost unanimous feedback that the basic design of Leaderboards isn't likely to positively affect the game, and players also voiced their irritation that features that were announced to be coming to the PTR "in the very near future" weren't part of the initial PTR release.
I don't know what AGS expects to achieve with the PTR War, other than to provide a final stress test of the feature before they release it to Live Servers without meaningful changes. It almost perfectly reflects the same issue as the Group Finder Tool, except that Leaderboards won't just be a delayed feature that nobody values, it may actively make instanced activities worse as the Leaderboards promote aberrant behavior as players try to manipulate their Leaderboard rankings.

Excellent break down of what New World needs to 'get better'. I don't think anything you've said will be seen as 'hate', but is in fact solid constructive feedback to improve the game. That being said I also think AGS needs to project a most visible roadmap of new content for the game. In my mind leaderboards, transmog and gearset swapping is not content. Content is new zones to explore, new missions and quests that provide meaningful progression for my character. I definitely like your idea of company wide quests and a company house! That would be fun and useful for all players. Right now my company has an elite group that does nothing but muts while the rest of us are struggling to increase gear scores and expertise running chest run after chest run. This grinding is boring and mind numbing. Thanks again for this video. Well done!

i too had a lot of passion for new world. have well over 2000 hours played on my main character. unfortunately my character disappeared after a server merge. i tried customer support and bug forums but now 10 days later still nothing. last communication from them was on day 5.."Sorry for the delay getting back to you, the Devs team is still investigating your case, unfortunately they haven’t provided an estimated time to resolve it, but I’ll keep you informed as soon as I get new information." seems crazy that in a game like this, a character you spent so much time on could just get lost and take so long to recover.....

My New World experience is see a UA-cam video of something I want to have, then gathering materials. I find out I need a certain item only to find it's only dropped by a boss that takes 10 people to kill. I then turn off the game and find another game to play.

My biggest issue is gear, it needs a major overhaul. Ward is crazy strong, hence making the rest more or less pointless and annoying to grind with all the rng (should be rather smooth progressionpath to get named ward gear if that is the end goal). Luck is greedy and gimping yourself feels unfair to the group. There is perks that lowers your threat, does anyone use it? :O On that i feel the Tanks needs a easier way to get aggro and keep it, more options and the same goes for healers (spent a lot of time with both roles, and in the end im done with both roles until changed). The focus on GS and mutations has made the game feel way more toxic then before, GS does not show your perks so it's a weird number to follow. Mutations should never gone from 1 to 10 (5 tops), with low population on servers it's really really hard to get groups going for it unless it's m1. I like the game but it's time for another break :)

As a crafter and 3v3 enjoyer, my top gripes would certainly be:
1.We need better sorting for gear and loot, add something like different color borders. I personally like to paint all my sets with a unique color, so why can't they have borders of that color?
2.Alchemy chests are less lucrative than picking up rocks on a beach and the prices of basic materials are very high as a result.
3.3v3 would certainly benefit from a ranking system. I'm a below average PvPer, and often it feels like a coin flip, where less than 40% of matches are neck-and-neck.
Just those three would be enormous QoL and overall improvements. As I still remember the days of trekking to each town to withdraw materials, having global access to inventory keeps me satisfied on the state of storage space, but that might change.
I have left for ffxiv because there I can simply queue for dungeons and get into a party. Also, cross servers parties.
I know the few resources they have (devs, ui, qa) are overwhelmed, but new world feels like a draft for a good game that is still some 4 years away from being really done.
I really had some fun after 60 and upgrading my armor, but after a month I really could not stand it anymore. Hope this game get better in the long run

They were much higher at launch. I'm pretty sure minor gave you 5%, basic was 7%, and major was 9%. You were able to do crazy amounts of damage with just basic trophies
The reason why I started watching your videos was because they were not too long, biased or toxic. To say so is to not have the ability to understand what biased or toxic means. Your points are as valid as the next. The issue is NW is losing players, I see this on the fresh server I'm on and the server my first character is on. My company and friends list is a grave yard, I stay because I play a little most days and have a good time on occasions, but I have got to the point where I am asking WHY as I queue for a mutation for half an hour. Why not make queuing for mutations global across ALL servers? Is it really that hard? Get those guys that put WS into space.... They seem smart!
Add salvage stations to New World. Where I can walk up, interact, and salvage ALL greens for example.

You’ve missed the #1 most important change that MUST happen, and will 100% be the largest contributing factor to the game’s long term survival.

The fact that AGS recently increased their transfer fees and increased the cooldowns from 3 days to 30 days is insane to me. They’re not only ignoring a major flaw but quite literally making it worse. They’ve created an MMO but somehow managed to miss the first “M”. Allowing players to select which server they wish to play on at the login screen (as most MMOs do) would bring so much more interaction to the community. More new faces to play with, a larger trade community, and more competition in certain places (competition is the #1 contributing factor to most games’ long term success)

I want an armoury for gear sets which I know is coming, but it needs to be done to the point where I feel compelled to want to collect more sets...finish my mining set, finish my smithing set etc. and it needs to be fluid and quick to swap for just crafting.
It does both, adds a much needed missing feature to improve QoL...while also incentivising people to explore and farm gear more, essentially having more activity to do for us players.
Another thing I think they really need to do...clean up the territory quests, needs to be more 'dailies' or activities from each town that sends us out in to that territory - working towards whatever goal. just clean up the quests and encourage people to want to farm Cutless Keys or Mourningdale XP, have us feel like we're building towards something. They tried this with town boards but it needs to be more and offer more.
Faction tokens, even territory XP should be working towards cosmetic items or housing, imagine getting 100 rep in First Light and then having access to a First Light vendor for things in your house or on your gear. Needs to be a reason to be inspired to want to do things in each territory

I don't understand why they can't tidy it up so that I can see the members of my team in the crowd as healers, that little colorful dot, that's nothing. It was so easy to mark it in, for example, AION. There is a set of smiles or numbers that the player can put above the head of the group leader. And within the group, it's something that everyone sees - but only that group. The healer would have a much easier time, and a focus could be given to the enemy
They ignore healers far too much
Got declined from genesis m3 as fs/vg cause there is always this one thing mage hunter, projectile shield, resistances to mage and not enough damage. War rosters preferring other weapons as fire staff users are a lot of the time benched in competitive servers. The only ranged weapon without utility and no ability being viable further then 30m. Can’t maneuver like dex users to fight great sword/hatchet/sword and shield at close range either. The melee hit change was needed for dex weapons with all there haste, dodges and tools in their kit that helps them move fast and block attacks so it did help but for fire staff users burnout is not a viable tool. It’s so frustrating alot of the oprs that happen half the players are dex only before wars you will see more bruisers as they practice. It ends up in one team spawn camping every other opr one team is at their base because you can do damage and get kills but can’t win opr without some bruisers. I’ve reached endgame full bis gear on fresh start but feel like I can’t play the game unless I switch my weapons.
Pros of fire staff: It has enough damage, it is a S tier weapon in 3v3s as I stated before about the range it’s ideal for the fire staff, great aoe. But that’s about it I hate being forced to go flamethrower cause no other ability is viable enough.

Best video ever bro! I have 1500 hours into the game and I'm bored out of my mind. There's literally nothing left to do.. These idea's aren't that obtuse, it's like no one from the dev team has ever played an mmo before. They could almost cut and paste features from other games and make this game so much better. They're clearly more focused on bring your dog to work day.

I’d like to see a feature where I could collect up all of my house’s items into inventory all at once without having to close out and having to re-buy the house. In my case, I’ve had a trophy stuck in a wall since game inception. Would be nice to retrieve and place it properly. GMs could not assist me with retrieving this one trophy by removing it from the house and simply placing into my storage… The only present solution is frustrating!
This has already been implemented, when you go into your house and hit N you have the option to abandon your home OR collect all furniture
I first started playing at launch (well, betas too I guess), and stopped a few months after that. I Re-started playing with the Fresh Start launch, and just stopped playing again a few days ago. Here are the main things that drove me away:
1) This is the biggest by far: A feeling of "fairness" in PvP, or rather, a lack thereof. This is a combination of several things, including weapon / healing balance, the power gap between the top gear and more entry-level stuff, the power gap between different levels, team balance in OPR, and exploit abuse. These are all their own issues, but come together to form the main problem for me: PvP rarely feels fair.
When you do get a fight that actually feels fair, it's an absolute blast. Probably the best combat experience I've had in an MMO, generally speaking. The issue is that finding those fair-feeling fights is incredibly rare. In my experience, fights typically feel ridiculously one-sided with either you absolutely crushing the other guy, or getting absolutely crushed. It's incredibly disheartening to hit someone with an attack for 10% of their health or so, only to be hit by one of their attacks and get dropped to half health. It's incredibly frustrating to watch someone just plow through your full combo without bothering to dodge or block, dodge their combo when they close the gap, and then get obliterated in 2 or 3 attacks after you've expended all of your defensive options.
It's not a matter of winning or losing fights- it's a matter of the fight feeling fair. Slaughtering someone when you felt zero legitimate threat from them isn't satisfying. Losing not because you got outplayed, but because the other guy just hits wildly harder and is barely affected by your attacks is very frustrating. Win or lose, a fight can be a lot of fun if it feels like it could have gone either way. Win or lose, a fight is boring at best and incredibly disheartening at worst if it felt completely decided before it even began.
2) THE JANK
This wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker on its own; I've played plenty of rather janky games where they are simply fun enough for the jank to be easily overlook. The issue with new world is that with the #1 issue- combat so often feeling incredibly unfair- any amount of jank on top of that is instantly infuriating. Seemingly escaping from an unfair-feeling situation only to get teleported back into a root you (on your screen) avoided is infuriating. Nearly beating a vastly more powerful opponent against all odds only for your killing blow to not function correctly (or no at all) is instant rage. Already being irritated by unfair-feeling combat and having the game derp out in any way just triggers an instant, "WITH THIS SHIT AGAIN" sort of response. Jank can be overlooked with enough fun, but if you're already annoyed, it amplifies it to the nth degree.
3) The seemingly-incompetent development cycle.
The devs are clearly fairly capable, as New World is a huge, and in many ways impressive, project. That said, when some immediately-obvious bug gets introduced and then just -stays there- for patch after patch, it makes it feel like the devs don't care, or just aren't capable of doing well. When you discover that yet another perk doesn't work as described (or doesn't work at all) and has been that way for a good while, it makes your wonder wtf the devs are doing. Things like Incinerate getting a bug that makes it only ever apply a single burn stack no matter what (effect fully upgraded and when critically hitting)... in the same patch that the devs attempted to buff the Fire Staff by raising the damage of burn stacks to 10%, and then not addressing that bug (which is instantly obvious if you use the skill even once) to this day... It just erodes any confidence that the devs can ever make the game feel good. Obviously that particular bug isn't the end of the world- just an example of the kind of persistent annoyances that just eat away at my faith in the capabilities of the devs.
Add damage history on mutation end screen. So we can improve our dps or anyone on our team.
The idea of territory control sounds good...for the peoples controlling them, having items only crafted in the territory house will create an even larger gap between players who invest more time than the casual players or players that are not in a rulling company. All the other ideas I agree with. I appreciate all the effort and time you invest in making this videos, they are great for the community, if only AGS would take them in consideration, we would have an amazing game 👍
I maybe didnt explain well, what I meant was outside of territory control, any company could purchase a company headquarters, and then upgrade it, completely separate form controlling any settlement of territory

Agreed with so many of your points. So many of these items can be fixed so quickly. Also with the target dummy you craft in your house you cant even hit it to test your damage, it is so dumb

The worst… is crafting something, YOU ALREADY HAVE, BUT LOST IN INVENTORY, and then buying it on the TP, upgrade it with 9k umbral to 625, to then find that same piece in your inventory “sea of gear” as you’re setting up the build. …. Ooof

I played FSS for 2 months. Massivly invested time like i did when the game started. I'm at 1500 hours and again, quit New World. Why? Nothing really changed since the original release:
- Weapons stay broken for MONTHS. This is absolutely unreal and i've never seen a game beeing broken without a fix/balance for such a long amount of time. This became nothing less than a freaking joke. AGS just doesnt care about GS beeing too f-ing op and mages useless. NOONE does play mages. Our server has NO mages at all. Besides that:
- Same exploits (Dupe exploit reintroduced with winter-event, 3 new musket exploits, skill copy exploit, shield fast run exploit etc etc etc....)
- Same bugs
- No real new stuff except Brimstone
Devs clearly do NOT play the game, no matter what they're talking. I wanted to give NW another chance after a year had passed but i came back to the same shitshow i originally left for. Exploits, uncommitted devs and a gamelead who has NO clue what is wrong with the game besides the community telling it for months. I wont be back, not a 3rd time. NW had its chance and so do think a shitton of players who returned for the FSS and left again. NW lost ALL players who came back for the FSS. This alone tells everything.
The problem is this is things we asked for for months. Example pvp people have been asking for different color healing circles few months after launch. Also a balance system to help with no healers in opr. They never even worked on t his till a year later? I understand they have been fixing a lot of bugs. But at this point i felt like they should have just delayed the game a few years to get lots of content then slowy release content as needed. Sadly i dont think 1 new zone a year with maybe a weapon 3-4 dungeons will save this game.
Things we need, Whare house re work to help find stuff better, Gear sets, Be able to dye skins, Be able to transmog items, Leader boards, Mounts, Swiming, NO guild actions (No being able to edit what ranks can do what or edit the ranks, Also no guild castle or guild bank to help people have more stuff to do. Example Albion online you have a island that you upgrade to get perks.)
I know most of these were listed. I highly agree with this video. Sadly coming from a player with 2,512 hours i think they should just shut this down take 1-2 years to fix everything and make alot of content. Then Slowy realase these things so your always AHEAD of the game. Example wow is already working on the next expansions and has this whole expansion to slowy come out with stuff keeping people happy.
Also as he stated why have fraction venders? There is only bags of holding and daily rewards? The gear is horrible they should do as stated in video. give skins and what not.
I have to say, your manner of speaking in and over new world is quite soothing and easy listening, i find your guides very helpfull and it makes me enjoy the game much more. Ty for the vids en i hope you wont stop.

When it comes to new world you are the first channel I look at. Also have you notice that you have to pay about one gold to make gypsum orb and about two gold to make a gypsum loot box's.

Better for me would be larger servers or servers dedicated to a certain play style ie PvP,PvE, RP. As it is tiny servers and squashing these different styles together just dilutes the chance of meeting people that play your style. I love PvE but the group finder makes for a toxic elitist experience. Unless you’re over geared for the content, you don’t get invited! This leads to a lonely experience for newer players or players just joining a new server. A lot of the NW player base seems very elitist and not that good at the game (from what I’ve experienced). I’ve been playing MMOs for 20years but I fail to penetrate the social dynamics of NW no matter what I try. 😢 with such tiny servers, social dynamics near to be near perfect and they are anything but perfect, in fact I would say they are the worst I’ve ever experienced. Sadly, UA-camrs don’t hold players responsible for their part in gaming as this would not be favourable to the aims of their UA-cam channel but something needs to be said about the responsibilities of players. The game is great, I love it but, social trends of gamers drastically needs addressing!!! Will it be addressed? I very much doubt it because people don’t like to hear how they are doing things wrong, instead they would prefer to hear how it’s the devs fault and the game isn’t built correctly. Sigh…

I think they moved resources to other games and working on creating a expansion for new world. They clearly lucking man power which means they lacking a budget. Amazon stock price went down 20% in last 6 mouths, and everything has to do with that. We are waiting for more drop in stock in next year or two, meaning - player will have to be patient with low budget team trying to keep game afloat through this world recession. I would just recommend enjoy the game with that in mind and play other game while waiting for slow updates. Team is doing amazing job, and they do what they can I am sure if it. Do I need any to see changes like GS 2 shoot in OPR or musk madness or hatchet endless get away, or hammer+axe insta light armour kill - yes I would like to see that, and much more but it’s an ocean of gameplay it come in waves.

lol there is a big issue with cutlas keys fort, has been for awhile, I will cover it in a video soon if it isn't fixed, but if you look on the forums under feedback, you will find it

Euthyphro is not in the game yet, whenever something is added to the database but not in the game people always create the myth around secret boss etc, but sadly I haven't seen or heard anything to lead me to believe that.. Simply isn't in, much like the vengeful weaponsmith set :)
They need to make all weapons decent in pve. The gap between melee and ranged/magic is huge. You won't get into late game stuff if you don't use certain melee weapons,that's bs
First of all thank you for making these new world videos they really did help me a lot. I started New World and liked it but it was my experience with toxic players that made me quit. It is not just bad features that are making people leave. I hope that the game gets fixed for everyone and you have great experiences with it for a long time. I just can't follow you

Yes, you can place multiple of the same type of chest, depending on the house tier you can up to 4 in a tier 4

The Final Fantasy swords kinda sums it up for me. The gritty pirate/age of sail feel left the game when players started flapping these 200kg swords like they were made of paper, while wearing angel wings... It got silly. But if that's what sells cosmetics these days i guess they have to follow the money.
i keep the ancient ward resilience in case they add high level pvp open world around mobs.

its good that u try to get to them as nice as u can be but i dont expect anything from new world anymore. i am still playing everyday to kill some time and i like it overall (even though i kinda hate it at the same time since everyrthing i want to do seems to somehow be incoplete) but that is just until the next game comes out.i am waiting for throne and liberty and corepunk, even if they manage to be worse i will not even think twice to unistall new world once more. and i do believe that's the case for many more, nw was very promising and when it went live i thought: ok ill just think its beta,it will need a couple years and it will be a great game.and indeed after a year i has come a long way but that is as far as it will go. they refuse to see some major issues not bug related for example being able to wear medium and tank a party while also killing them just by having a healer behind u, tanks have no skills for pvp(no more than the rest classes at least) and maaaaaany many more. so do i want to play a game to run around for chests 3hours per day?no. do i want to play a game that has unbalanced pvp?no. in general its a big fat NO. just a matter of time until the next game
Too many weapon types have CC. There should be a synergy between playstyles not just one weapon combo type dominating the player base. CC skills should also not do a ton of damage. CC should be a support type weapon skill and not a front of the line tank ability. This is why there are so many hammer axe builds in mass pvp. Doubt anything will ever change with the skill system though.
I have 4 k+ hrs and the problem right now is the bottleneck from inventory. It’s stopping me from playing because I have too much stuff and no way to sort

the quest system is so confusing >.< like right now i am level 34 and i have several main story quests available and tracking, but most of them i picked up when i hit 30. how can it be main story if it's all over the place. and also, there are quests for factions that have been bugged for months, so severely limits what quests you can actually do. i hope they fix these soon as it infuriates me no end as i know they have the money to sort it as it's from amazon ffs. i don't expect them to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at them, but they are definitely not short on cash to be able to sort them, all the same.

Why not make boxes inside storages (like folders in windows) you can put whatever you want inside it, name it however you want, and perhaps change its color to differenciate them from one another. Inside them you can store anything you want and the box will keep the weight from whats inside it

Fixing this game will be like beating a dead horse.
The real problem with NW: it is noob friendly, it's so easy to complete sets and weapon that's anoy, there's nothing unique on the game, I remember back when I played tibia 7.1 or so, there's weapon and armors that only a very few people have it, it was so cool seeing or having it or just have it as an objective to reach, cuz now ask yourself what are your objective on game? Complete and DG m10? It can be done in one week, have an 625 set? It's also not that hard, I don't know if I write it all right cuz English is not my language, but all the point is: in new world we lack of cool objective to pursue

Listening to all the items you listed, I think I see what the problem is - a lot of the change you list that needs changing, the same team to work on it, the UI team. They only can do so much at the same time.

Biggest things that have stopped me playing is the desnyc in PvP and the musket spam that seems to be getting worse. PvP (OPR) is what I main in New World but it's just not fun in its current state, sop I'm taking a break until I hear that desync or the servers are better. I try really hard to not let it annoy me but after a week of coming away from each New World session frustrated I decided it was probably time to take a break. Sucks man, my two fav games EFT and New World are in states where I no longer find them enjoyable.

I don't want servers with 30,000 concurrent players, nobody does, none of the game's regions need a server with even a quarter of that capacity! But you just merged 2 EU servers together so they had a 200+ login queue on a weekday, and then you locked the server for transfers and character creation with no communication about the problem. Are you working on a system where that doesn't happen?

I’ve played NW for 3.8K hours and my wife over 5.4k and totally agree with 95% of the contents on this video,I quit the game twice already and started playing after Tempest and Brim update.
The only disagreements is giving bigger and richer companies opportunities like that is going to make them so much bigger and there won’t be any chance for smaller one to own a territory since on many servers they pay big to players for war.
The other issue to me is shard sellers,they are ruining this game so bad.

Mate not the shard sellers are bad. Rather the game is with its mandatory 8 sets if you play tank and dps. I'm at ilvl 613 with 2 out of 8 sets and thought about to buy shards just do have the possibility to grind in higher m. M is a joke but the ilvl isn't. If you don't have proper ivll you die in oneshot which results in a Shitty game design where newbies are mandatory to farm / buy shards if they want to Compete intime/properly.
+ 2 trophys added to each house when you get 60 would be a nice QOL change / Auto loot needs to be added ASAP / would love to get our third weapon back when this " mysterious " paid expansion comes out loved having three weapons in alpha

They need practice wars. Also, top pvp companies have the strategy down. Builds, and the way to win wars. Increase company to 150. So, more people can learn abd then make their own guild.

All the changes and suggestions are good, but what I really want from the game is to FIX it.. Fix what is made and only THEN add new things. Adding new things will bring more bugs and at the end make the game just unplayable.

I feel that the legendary craft mods needed to craft particular items need a rework aswell. There are so many good weapons that drop off world mobs or dungeons that they are useless now. They sell for around 5-10g on my server. They need to do something with these or it's a dead bit of the game.
I made my own company with myself as the only person in the guild. I'm using this company as a bank to store my excess gold.

I'm still kind of annoyed with the luck perk/trophies. Paid alot for it just to realize it did seem to make a difference. Storage definitely needs work. I'm a hoarder and have to regularly drop or sell things i really don't want to.
in my opinion it should be 5 combat trophies, 5 profession trophies, 5 harvest trophies and 5 buff trophies.

I’d honestly just settle for when you go to craft a item you had a toggle button. “Pvp perk pool on or off” that way I can choose what type of item I wanna craft from add my parts and bits and know if I’m gonna get ward gear or pvp stuff
And honestly can we just combine the wards into one and the banes into one like I don’t want so many different item sets my god lol like a couple for pve sure and couple for pvp sure but my lord 🤣
