It really depends. I have some that I haven't been careful with, and they are still fine. However, if someome has messy hands and are holding them, that could case a problem.
This is excellent. I like that it is still partially see through.

Thanks for your input, however, the type of paint I used is actually non-toxic. No need for a mask, gloves or anything else like that.

Make sure you have a fair amount of paint on your brush. You can always 2nd coat it.

Whenever I add paint on top of paint it takes it right off! :(
