    Top tip for anyone just starting out doing jobs like this. Get a piece of cardboard and poke small holes through it in the same pattern as the bolts/screws coming out. Once you remove them, stick them through the cardboard and you'll never forget where a bolt went in relation to others, they are harder to lose, and also you can see at a quick glance if you've got any left over you've not re-fitted!! You can also make drawings or notes on the card against the bolts to remind you of things, etc. And if they are going to be staying out for a while, just put a piece of tape across the heads to stop them falling out of the card. Saves you having a box of bolts 2 weeks later that you can't quite remember how they went in.😁.
    I know that for some people this might be me teaching them how to suck eggs, but if this helps just 1 person, then I'll be happy!

      Great tip, another good one is if you need to disconnect wires or wiring harnesses, take photographs on your phone so you can refer back them reassembling everything. Ride safe 👍

    People need to know that it is safer to remove the tank of the bike by unpluging the line from the fuel pump and the electric fuses too cause otherwise you could break or cut something! Believe me , i ve seen it

    Another great informative video, will you be doing a long-term review on the Benelli, good and bad points?.

      Hi yes I plan to film it in the next few days. Due to only being able to film out on the road when on essential journeys its taking a bit longer than usual to get all the footage filmed. Ride safe 👍

    Hi
    I install the same filter in trk502 2018
    To close it tight I have to get rid of the original plastic that holds the sponge filter,does it ok to do?

    How much of a difference has the DNA filter made over the standard one?

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 роки тому

      Hi I haven't ridden the bike yet since fitting the filter. To be honest I don't think it will make any noticeable difference performance wise, however the DNA filter is washable and reusable so that's why I chose it. I have a long term ownership review of the bike coming to the channel soon, so I'll give an update then. Please subscribe to the channel so you don't miss out on the upcoming content over the next few months. Ride safe 👍

      @@BikeRiderReviews ...but DNA claims +76.64% increased air-flow than the stock/oem (to 172.20cfm from 97.49 cfm)... that's very interesting.

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 роки тому +1

      @@iConstantinos Thanks for checking out the review. To be honest since riding the bike I can't tell much difference. Initially I thought the bike seemed to be reving slightly lower at higher cruising speeds but I'm not sure if I'm imagining this. I certainly can't tell any difference in acceleration. I haven't assessed how it affects fuel consumption yet due to the recent lock down restrictions however I'll be checking it out on my next big tour. Ride safe 👍

      I have now bought the DNA filter to install in my TRK502X and the instructions state that you need to remove both the plastic panels - One which sits on top of the original air filter, the filter itself and the one below it too. (The one below really needs a good nudge to pull it free!) The thickness of the DNA is the same as the original air filter when sandwiched within the plastic panels. You should now notice improved airflow.

    Is the standard filter washable ???

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 роки тому +1

      Hi thanks for checking out the review. The original is washable but I'm not a great fan of washing foam filters as in the past I have had some that have degraded quite badly. Ride Safe 👍
