After the massacre in the Dover District of Shumeria at the hands of Kane Spites and the Crimson Guard; Ash, Clint, and Diego are removed from the public eye at the behest of Dolf Crowley, who serves as the mediator between the Domestic Security Forces and the Defense Ministry.
Commander Clive Beckett assigns the trio a new task, one that prompts them to venture to Gillbaris Island to investigate the sudden disappearance of General Magnus Dunbar.

Vandal Hearts is a turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo for the PlayStation and later ported to the Sega Saturn by Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya. The PlayStation version was distributed in Japan, North America, and Europe. The Saturn version was never released outside Japan. There was also a Microsoft Windows version developed and released exclusively in South Korea.
