Just Be Good To Me is such a heartwarming song from 1984. Many thanks to S.O.S. The hit takes me back to my early days in the mid 1980s. Such a privilege to hear it all again after 32 fantastic years.
A great song. Difficult to categorize. Not exactly disco. Mostly funk that leans towards rock a little. Great production values, excellent arrangement, flawlessly done.,

One of the most amazing funk soul songs to ever hit the charts in the 80s. That is a large thanks to the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis production crew which helped Janets breakthrough album by writing, producing and arranging it along with Paula Abdul choreographing all the videos to the singles. Jimmiy Jam and terry Lewis were the true artists with this album, Janets album and many other. Its these guys who make these groups into stars. SOS band is still the shit no matter what.

The epitome of a "Strong Song"...beginning w/ that 'tidal wave' of the first musical stanza. Undeniable Jam. 💚
This masterpiece played just before the great Richard Pryor would come on stage! Pure magical perfection.
