I think Hermes, Bulgari, and Channel are making really great watches at the moment, as they are looking to improve the horological level of their watches. Thanks, Bill for the video.
very cool. Bill, I have been watching your channel for just about a year. I'm learning so much. I have a collection of one watch, but will be adding more soon.

That’s a great find Bill. I found the time only version of the slim d’Hermes to be a bit uninspiring, but I really like the look of both the palladium and gold GMT pieces. I live dangerously near to an Hermès boutique in Shanghai, so I’ll drop by soon to see it on my wrist. If I like it I’d probably be safe as long as I bring it home with a bag of Hermès goodies for my wife. Thanks again Bill.
Love the dial and especially the font; the "H" branding on the movement, while understandable, I find a bit pretentious (although I suppose any normal person would consider us watch nerds completely pretentious, hah)
Hi Koji, yes, Hermès slaps that stupid 'H' everywhere, but what's important is the movement maker VMF (Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier)... that with a Agenhor GMT module is all that I saw. Take care, Bill
I'd select almost the same list but pick Cartier instead of Hermes. On the high end, their "mysterious" complications with what appear to be floating an unconnected show that they can do open work with the best of them. There is also a lot more history and their staff is more welcoming of new customers.
I would really like to own one of these, and there is one available C24 now, $9000 from Komehyo in Japan. Since I just got a "Temps suspendu" and expeting a Habring2 nexth month, I will have to let this pass.
@@watchartsci Sotheby's? I found mine on C24 a month ago, $3000 from Japan. It had a misaligned date hand, but a service was anyways due after 10 years. Hermès registered the trademark "Arceau le Temps Voyageur" four weeks ago, so there might be another GMT from them soon?

Hello Bill! I am hoping you will do a short video on Romaine Jerome? I purchased the red gold Titanic DNA a few years ago,. I know they went out of business. But I know nothing of their movements or history. Other than RJ was ran by different people though out their life span. Are they worth collecting? Thank you, Sean
Hi SC ... that's a tough one, but off the top of my head, I would not collect Romaine Jerome watches for a general one to collect. That being said, Sean, I'd be interested in watches with one of his movements: This Romain Jerome caliber RJ004-M found in a PVD “Speed” version of the Skylab reference RJ.M.AU.025.01. Also found in Skylab Heavy Metal (RJ.M.AU.023.01) and Skylab Red (RJ.M.AU.028.01). Overall, though, this is a watch company I need to learn more about. Hi Matti, the GMT seems to have sold out most places and I've seen no discount, but you're right about some of their watches. With a Vaucher movement inside, they command more respect than some other watches from fashion houses. Take care, Bill

They have Hermes on the dial. So, can they ever be found as minus 30-50% price, as many of lesser loved brands can? 🤔🙂
