We will be visiting the island next month. What grocery stores do you recommend?

I don't see the logic of buying a property to fund your lifestyle in Belize you would still have to wait for the property to go up before using that money using your example it would be better to buy a property for 100k with 10 percent down and use the remaining 90k to fund the payments on the property plus pay for your winter get away by the time you have used up your 90k hopefully the property you have bought will have a nice profit that you can sell for just a ideal I'm sure there many other ways to get around that

We bought property with our self directed IRAs so we have no payments on the property. It has doubled in value in less than a year and if we sell, we would do owner financing. Then we can ask for 30% down, 8% interest for 5 years. So we have a nice down payment to use for travel and then we use the monthly payments for other expenses. And we own a property in Florida so we will rent that out while we are gone and that rent pays that mortgage.
