Fire Academy Week 5

On Monday morning, the students tackled the box maze!
Instructor Chris Carrera explains the life-saving skills learned in this exercise!
On Tuesday morning, the students must explain what they have learned, concerning the care and maintenance of a hand tool, specifically a flathead axe! Instructor Dustin Turner explains the process the students must go through and the importance of this skill!
On Tuesday night, the MSFA staff, and any family members of the students, are invited to the explosive night burn!
This event is always a highlight of the recruit program! It allows every day citizens an opportunity to come onto the MSFA campus and witness what our firefighters go through each day!
