Bro your channel feels like a breath of fresh air. I appreciate the directness and the realness lol. I like LUMIX cameras too I’m still rocking a little G85. Keep up the good work! #Lumixgang
Top notch content Cook. I always record separate audio so this joint is a banger for me. Af might trip sometime but im coming from a gh5ii so i ain't complaining
Man am I glad you started another channel! Thought you were gone for good. So happy to see you’re moving on up. You’ve stuck to your guns and it’s paying off! Keep shooting!
What you say about lumix and autofocus is how I feel with Sony and open gate..I wish they would just come out with open gate so people would shut the F up about it
#lumixgang one year with my s5ii also. My biggest gripe is that i havent had enough time to shoot this thing. Low key, one of the best features of the s5ii is the UI and button layout. It makes sense, it's so easy to change any setting I want. Big Cook you have me laughing my ass off on my morning commute. Keeo doing what you do
I have G9ii but would like to have one FF body. So, I've been thinking of getting the S5 Original as an inexpensive intro to FF to use my vintage Nikkor AI F lenses in fully manual mode. It's $998 at BH right now. What's your opinion? Thanks. As usual you've created another entertaining but really informative video. Just loving your continuing no BS approach.
I'm with you on this. Since getting the S5ii and S5iiX I haven't had gas at all. These cameras offer some of the best features for the price compared to a lot of other cameras out now. Lumix really put their foot into these when they put them out. Now if they add Arri Log into these I'll be even more happy. LOL!!!
Dope Thumbnail Bro 🔥🔥🔥 Agree… I have multiple on these now for Events 📸🔥🔥🔥🔥 And you right, once I moved to the S5 II, I started picking up lenses like I was on a mission 😂
@@Bigcookfilms definitely 💯 & I am sold on L-Mount Glass super dope. I tested a bunch but I landed on the LUMIX 35, 85, 100 Sigma 16-28, 28-70 Sirui Anamorphic 35, 75 Helios 44-2 I had a ton of Canon L Glass, sold everything except my 70-200 f/2.8 (one of my first lenses, can’t let that one go 😅). One thing I can agree on, Sony and Canon feel like tools in my hands, especially Sony. For some reason LUMIX felt like my personal Camera, weird stuff 🤣
Have the S5iix and love it. Use the DJI pocket 3 as a b cam. Only negative I have is the crop on 4k60. When it's in 1080 60p I feel like the autofocus is not nearly as good. I have the 24mm but wish I picked up the 18 because it's often not wide enough for what I'm doing with that crop.
I understand that the 4k60 crop may be an issue for some but I guess that I've been lucky because the 1080p 60fps and 120fps autofocus has been ok for me. On another note, how are you liking the Osmo Pocket 3?
@LumixGang the pocket is great man. I end up using it pretty often just because it's so convenient. Sometimes the gimbal acts a little crazy but that's my only real negative on it. Also picked up the DJI mic 2 and it's a very cool system. Again very convenient and also super easy to setup on the s5. On the receiver you just select what camera you have from the list and the audio is pretty much dialed in then and there.
I've also had the S5II for about a year now (10th June 2023). How time flies. I would be interested to understand Big Cook, how you rank your lenses? For me (I'm purely a photographer rather than anything video btw) it would be: Joint 1st - Lumix S 85mm (just incredibly sharp - sometimes so sharp I have to decrease it! Beautiful colours, rendering, every time I use this lens, I'm smiling) Joint 1st - Lumix S Pro 24-70 (I got this a week ago - I have just no words how good this lens is - like a prime lens in a zoom - massive size tho!) 2. Lumix S Pro 16-35 (another beautiful lens that produces amazing photos for my architectural projects) Distant 3rd - Lumix S 20-60mm (came bundled with my camera, but I've never been happy with this lens - average image quality, so-so sharpness, but very versatile when travelling!)
Thanks for the comment! Sure I'll rank my lenses for you but I'm 60% video and 40% photo. 1st- Lumix S Pro 24-70mm f2.8 (Versatile with great color rendition. I can get wide shots and semi telephoto shots with this lens. I can shoot a full video with this one lens and the 3D pop is gorgeous) 2nd-Lumix 18mm f1.8 (This is my establishing shot lens and my favorite lens for youtube. It's sharp and the lowlight is clutch for the nightlife videos I film. I can use the apsc mode to get a 27mm field of view if I need something tighter) 3rd-Lumix 85mm(I love this lens for portrait photography and for B Roll in video. The separation and the texture this lens gives images are great at beautifying people. I just wish that it had a closer minimum focus distance. ) 4th-Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f2.8 ( This is a specialty lens but when I do use it I'm always amazed at the images it produces. It's has the same look as my S Pro 24-70mm f2.8 but with a better reach and a compression that separates the subject from the background like no other. It's a great lens but I don't use it as much as I should.) 5th-Lumix 20-60mm kit lens (It's a good lens for what it is but I don't use it anyway so I'll probably end up giving it away. I paid for the other lenses so I would have to use the kit lens. If it had a fixed f4 aperture it would have been a much better lens.) Well I hope that I answered your question bro. Keep filming!

Hi, im searching for a good camera for filmmaking. I found lumix s5iix. Good stabilization and video quality + features like prores where i can use it in the future. Do you think it's a good choice to develop my passion?
Bro the S5iix is a great camera but as a man you have to make that decision yourself. I don't know your needs so I can't say. A Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji etc. may be better for you. Just rent it first if you can but if not get something and shoot with it.
