HUGE Abandoned Middle School Exploration

- Empty halls of a once joyful place are filled with a deafening silence, abandoned in 2015 sits the Abandoned Academy of the Arts. Equipped with a huge Auditorium that housed many plays in the schools time open . Many art classes lie just as they were left with many children's paintings still stapled to the walls. It's a mystery as far as when the school was open , there is not much history online. I suspect it's opening around the 1970's. If you enjoy the tour of this abandoned school, like and subscribe to my channel for more videos!

I hope someone who’s gone to this school sees this and comments.
Wow this amount of decay in 5 years? I would have assumed late nineties crazy!
This is every school right now
Haha so true
That kids coat hanging there at 4:05 made me very sad.
yeah its like they almost had to drop everything, or like they were randomly wiped off ecistence
Best channel I’ve found all year. I just discovered that there’s a name for my love of old buildings reclaimed by nature. “Urban decay”. thanks for the content! My soul is at peace watching this. 🙃
Nice to see those baby birds going to school for their education.
At 9:07 - its like a complete bird ecosystem in here - LMAO! Always enjoy your videos dude
Dude when you went into the weight room, your buddy sitting on the floor freaked me for a moment! I thought he was a dummy or something before I was like oh wait...friend! Dude that skateboard woulda been handy for exploring! Should take it to strap on the backpacks for other ones! Or buy a mini!
Bro where do you find all these abandon buildings. I always wanted too explore and do this type of stuff! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
So awesome! I would do it too!
It Is, indeed, exhilarating to do this ... but it's scary too -- you have to make damn sure No one sees you enter ... and I've made the mistake of doing it by myself .... with no flashlight or weapon with which I could defend myself .... so it was extra frightening --- takes a LOT of preparation
Appreciate the mask! I see so many explorers going in buildings with all kinds of toxicity completely unprotected...
Emmanuel Goldstein lmaooo
@Emmanuel Goldstein you good dogg?? Lmao why so agressive
@Emmanuel Goldstein Need a chill pill there?
@Emmanuel Goldstein You do realize that just because you are upset about something like that doesn't mean you have to randomly go around and calling someone a nazi for being glad someone is wearing a mask in a fungus-filled building where the air is poisonous? maybe bring up your opinion about that elsewhere.
@Emmanuel Goldstein male moment
Half the shots in this video look like they were taken straight out of Portal 2, damn.
Love you guys, you were the very first urbex channel I found. Nice job covering this school.
Wow, we used to have those same old vending machines in my elementary school. We all thought they were old even back then
Been suffering bad insomnia lately and my tired brain can’t handle noisy loud stuff these videos are perfect thanks !
Hi, thank you for taking us around, this school had quite a lot still left in that could have been shared with schools in the area. Thanks for the shoutout, I'm in the UK, thanks for sharing too. x
Devin, your vids are the best on here!! I've been following you for a long time on here and look forward to watching a new explore every week! Keep up the hard work, much appreciated 💪❤️
This makes me sad. ALL abandoned places do....
I love how y'all start your videos
He is a copycat with his editing
@@photocc777 how can you copy editing it's called and editing style
DMAN its hard to describe but over the years i notice he would copy styles of exploring with josh, rnkallday, proper people, etc. If he didnt put his name in this intro i wouldve thought i was watching rnkallday. Its all gravy though, i guess he has to learn style somewhere if he cant come up with it himself
Woe I had a dream last night of my old school, great vid!!!
@Emmanuel Goldstein you good???
@@kaylamm5874 he's one of those "woke" nutjobs. Don't worry about him. All his videos are conspiracy.
Textbook at 4:40 appears to be from 2005, fifth grade...
They had a ticket booth because, like most schools for that age group, they put on plays for the community. It wasn't just a "pretend theater", it' was actually used as a theater. The actors were students, but they were actors just the same.
Thanks for the tour.
Suuuuper early today and super excited
You should come to the UK and do some explores over here! Your videos are awesome!
Awesome exploration!
If it was a high school, they might have had childcare available for students with children.
True but my high school did and it was only 5 rooms and was more or less seperated from there rest of the school
Also, the building could have been used for Head Start preschool.
my city recently built a new public high school with child care in it, it also shares a field with the elementary school next to it.
This place looks like something i would see on my weirdest dreams...
Amazing 🖤
Hey! Love from the UK!😀
Good video, thanks
My daughters’ elementary school was built in the early 1970s with locker rooms and showers. They were used for storage when my girls attended in the late 90s.
My Elementary School was built in the 1950's, and from what I was told, it was originally a high school. With showers, and lockers in the gym.
It's been a Elementary school as long as any one could remember. If there were lockers in the hallways, they were long gone, by the time I was there.
Nice location 🕯
The auditorium looks just like the one at our city’s oldest high school.
They would need the ticket booth for when they open performances to the community.
Very interesting.
All the time I was wondering where I'd seen it before ;)
An old elementary school in our city became the Arts Academy in the late 1990s.
This could have started as a high school and then reused as a elementary or middle school.
We had a public school in my town that use to be an old high school. When the new one was built the old one became a public school. The lockers were still there as well as the old auditorium, homeak class and shop class and who knows what else. I only went there in grades 7 & 8 for homeak and shop classes. Sorry about spelling
This is so cool 😎! I wonder how some of the locker's got rusted shut? Why do these old school's leave so much behind? How do you get in those places?
That vending machine looks 70’s-80’s!
Wooooooow❤❤❤
If that school has real marble, on the walls, it was probably built in late 30s to early 50s, as a high school ,then changed to middle school. My old school was built in 1938, had WW2 then cold war bomb shelters
I seen one of your videos from Jan 2021 and I think it was my grandparents house if this was the same area this may have been my school
i wonder if the roses on the seat were random or if they were for a student that died? idk. i remember a couple of kids died in my old school throughout the years and their lockers and some seats and such would be set asides for flowers and notes and signatures for us to remember them by
i’ve never been this early😭💀oh wow
11:03 The Ultimate Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything can turn up in the oddest of places.... 😁
Seems abandoned longer than 5 years.
It looks as if it was abandoned in 2012 , everything on the boards dates to 2013 , the last batch students that went there are probably attending universities
awww the baby birds
I like Ur vids not only interesting also asmr like
I clicked faster than James Charles could say hi sisters
Ha, I was just watching James Charles.
Yo same 🤣🤣🤣
I feel sorry for anyone who watches James Charles.
Pause the vid for a sec and imagine the frame with heaps of kids and stuff, wow
Scary big school
The birds r cute
Surprisingly empty, nice explore tho.
The little kid stuff is probably for a developmental classroom.
The actual building has very little on the low passing grades. Maybe it was low quality teaching staff? What elementary school class uses a weight room? Thx guys! Great Video!(Another one I mean)
Que lugr incriivel
Where is this?
Waste not want not...boy, we build a lot of buildings to leave vacate.
for some reason it seems like a lot of places he visits were abandoned in 2015
The children's stuff may have been for the high schoolers children
Closed for low passing rates...a school for the arts.
AYO DAS MY JUICE BRO
Anyone know the music at the beginning of the vid?
It ticks me off to see so many abandoned text books. The school boards are always whining they don’t have enough money for books. Maybe keep the ones you have already??
Textbooks are purchased through a process known as “adoption”. This process ensures that the textbooks are aligned with the state curricular standards for a proscribed timeframe. Once the books are “out of adoption”, they are replaced. In short, theyre only good for about ten years.
@@ED-od6hy I can understand that. But there might be third world countries or missions that might want them for less fortunate areas. It seems a shame to let them go to waste.
i know theres a word for this kind of nostalgia but i cant put my finger on it. he,\lp me think of the word
The people that went to that school watching him show the locker names be like omg that was my locker and I WENT TO THAT SCHOOL!!!!!!
I'd put the opening closer to mid to late 1950s. It reminds me of my old elementary school which was built in 1956.
this gives me danganronpa 3 vibes
even danganronpa was cleaner than this, but the vibes are there. The fact that it’s so old, yet some of the things seem new, or nostalgic almost. It gives off such a weird feeling.
@@daze.png_ well the thumbnail did it looked like the classroom
"The Signal to Return is __________"
why does 1080p look like 480p?
I guess you found a beakosystem
I do
👀😎🖤👍👀😎🖤👍👀😎🖤👍
“Shit on the food”
Guys I know why this was shut down. (/J)
If the school had to be shut down why didn’t they knock it down normally when schools have to be shut down the county knocks it down then they’ll be nothing left of this building
Do you ask the property owners before showing up to these locations? I always do.
Something to realize how wasteful that we are... Priorities need to be readjusted. This is over whelming to watch, especially now with many things shut down because of Covid-Beast.
Of course there's a lot of birds where else do you think they go to LEARN something lolo
I haven't seen this place since 2010 someone hung them self in the gym
Scary
I thought you don't normally show pictures or people's names? 🤔
Maybe 1 floor was Elamentry anuther floor middle school and d bottom floor a high school
I wonder if Flamingo watches this kinda stuff..
In watching on Mar 23 2021 and that white board has never been used in 9 years
Yah that ain’t a elementary school
It actually was when it closed. I believe it started as a high school though. Too big not to
Maybe it was K-12..
hm
Getting Walking Dead vibes lol
Reminds me of Terminus.
#299👍😁 Sad toxic waste dump? Or exactly what? Why not share some history that mattered??🤷
What?
BIRBS!!!
Was there abstos and alot of toxic chemicals in the school 🏫🎒?
Maybe bring gloves as well as a mask since everything there is dirty.
Some vile meals would have been cooked thire don’t know what school food like in us but if like uk
All these schools abandoned because of Abestos. Why didn't they just get it removed? All the schools in my district were all made pre 60s and were full of Abestos...it was all removed class room by classroom.
Welp, I’m bored 😑....
