This 6 years late but I’m a single mom millionaire and you play football, congratulations. It’s not the size of the dog it’s the size of the fight in the dog. Amen.🙏
This is the most powerful and inspirational story I have EVER heard in my entire life. Im not trying to sound corney but i sobbed through this entire story. Im a single mom and I completly related to this. I watch this inspirational story every time I feel like giving up. This is life changing to watch!!
Me too. My 13 year old wants to be #52 because of him and this speech. It's made me really reflect on what he has seen over the year. Mixed emotions for sure...
Shout out to those who are working hard for their dreams, keeping up with the ups and downs of life and not willing to give up untill they reach what they seek, nothing but respect for you brothers and sisters 🙌
This is my favorite video my dad beat on my mom until I was 12. Till she either stopped breathing or passed out. I play sports for the same reason Ray does so a man never puts his hands on my mom. 52 is more than just a number its a livelihood. I love you mom I do this for you.
You know I'm a Steelers fan and this video hits deep. Every time I watch this it makes me keep pushing no matter how tough it gets. Ray Lewis is a legend forever.
The Friday night lights playing in background got me. I also tear up when I see that about the running back who tore his ACL before they knew how to fix it
This has gotta be the greatest speech that I’ve ever heard in my life. I live in a household where my mom is never home and I am always mad about that. So one day I told my Grandpa everything that she did and about how she wasn’t home. So then my granddad be ready tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. in the morning so I said okay. Then he took me to Contentnea Savannah school and the ISS teacher was sitting there and he and my grandad were good friends and I knew him and he said my Grandad told me about your mom so why don’t you play football. And I said sure. My first year was bad but then I learned why I was bad. Because I contained my anger. So my next year I was starting at Defensive End and that year I got the most sacks in my district and the most tackles and I got better from just listing to this speech. And I listen to it every day before a game.
My son was telling me how he was going through on his job and his boss introduce him to this video and my son share his thoughts with me, and I must say" I'm so glad my son, took time to listen" such great positive impact. Thank you!
I wan to be just like you Ray Lewis, we both come from the bottom, and you already made it to the top. I want to be just like you, to have your drive and aggressiveness. I want to be one of the greatest linebackers of all time. Just like you, but the only thing I would want, is at least one more tackle/sack than you. Thank you for getting me to grind for the opportunity to be like you.
I heard this years ago and still listen to it. ❤️ the motivation. Pain is temporary. Life is hard but I made my daughter a promise and i will get through it. Thanks Ray Lewis
When he said "but i cant help her cause im not strong enough i dont have the muscle to get this man off my mother" i got so emotional man imagining being that vunerable and watching your single mother go through that pain thas tough
i’ve been doing it for two days now and i can’t get through all of them but im in so much pain that the only thing getting me through them is this video and if i can’t get it in one try then i’ll do it in 2 if not 3
Every time I watch this I cry so much and I think about how I can fight threw pain instead of giving up and every time I’m about to take a big hit or tackle I think of this speech😭😭😭💪🏽
i was never good at football. I’ve always been a small kid and when i played i’d sit the bench. I was afraid to hit everyone and get hurt and everyone would get mad at me and i couldn’t help it. I played this before my game and when i got on the field i felt myself get this adrenaline rush. mid game i was playing safety and my friend and i tackled one kid but when the kid we tackled got up he pushed my friend down. Now i know you shouldn’t do this because of sportsmanship but i knocked the player down in anger and thought of the speech. I got taken off the field and was yelled at my coaches. Later on i was put back in the game and was in on almost every play ending the game with about 20 tackles after that i started working and i’ve actually been decent defense and offensive player. Some say it’s your own determination to get there. I’m gonna say thank you to ray lewis because it really brought the best out of me thanks ray🙌🏼🙏🏻
Romans 5:10 ► For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
If I could pick a speech to explain to people why I started competing in mma this would be it. Beautiful story a lot of men can relate to. As strong and gifted athletes and men we have to protect those around us. It’s a responsibility all of us we’re born with and it’s something we need to do.
You’ll forever be remembered as one of my favorite and greatest football hero’s as a player and a someone that went through the struggle I went through thank you 🙏🏽🥺
This evening I’ve listened to motivational songs and speech’s that have made me want to scream to just let out the pain, but this one this one really gave me the chills
This story is what makes push through on those moments I wanna quit on my weight loss journey I feel the pain I like and push through to the next set and push twice as hard ray lewis was always my favorite player even though I'm a sehawks fan and he played for the ravens
I hate the sport of football. But I play it because of this man. At 16 years old, just recently getting into sports, working for a brighter future, this man gave me a chance.
Totally agree to look at all the hardship he faced growing up he came from a broken family now to be one of the best motivational and leaders of his era!
This is one of the greatest motivational speeches I've ever heard!!! My top three motivational speeches (interchangeable): Inky Johnson speech, Al Pacino inches speech and this one
This story.. My dad’s father (mygrandfather) was an alcoholic that killed himself after beating the family for years and leaving a note that it was their fault. I’m so glad my dad related that to me. My brother still judges my father as “weak”. He can’t wrap his head around that being beat as a child can change a man. Can make him look for a way out without viollence.
Everyday I go to work no matter the weather or how I'm feeling because I want to be the best. It frustrates me because I see people who been there for years who have more time than me slack off, never come to work, and get everything. These are the people who should be setting a good example. The ones I can come to if I don't know something. It's like everyone in here is dumb as a bucket of rocks. I have a strong drive to be great and people at my job even supervisors don't like me because I bring 100% everyday to work. I can't be a bum at work or anything I do, its how I was raised.
This story always makes me tear up
