Thank you for your comment. I feel that when I visit a country it is important to absorb the culture and show respect. Nothing more natural than to meet new souls with an open heart.
Hey Will I am dominican living in Europe. I like the way you adjust to another culture so simple an cool man. My respect to you. My subscription to your channel it´s an honor. Peace brother!
Thank you first and foremost for subscribing. I think it is very important when visiting somewhere to always respect the culture.. I didn’t want to do a video from behind a resort wall. I want people to see what DR can really be like.
Hey man, great video. I am home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and by chance, stumble across this video. Cabarete is a beautiful, friendly, and safe place. I vacation there twice, four months each time, and my past girlfriend lives in Callejon. You're in for a fun and peaceful time. Enjoy the beach. Hope to meet you soon. Cheers
Thanks so so much for this video and recipe, I spent many summers in Cabarete in the 80's and 90's surfing and windsurfing before the DR became popular, this video was GREAT. I'm going to make that chicken dish this weekend! You didn't mention it, but it looked like you also added garlic, yes? Also, the marinade looked like it had some watery liquid in it, what was that?? Thanks again for bringing so many great memories I have of the DR
@@davehickson hello thank you for watching Ang the compliment. Yes you are right garlic was added. I did leave it out by accident and the liquid was water and lime juice. Thank you again for watching and I hope you subscribed.
@@WillTheConsciousTraveler I subscribed, and thanks for the reply man…. I’ll be making that chicken soon, might can’t wait… I will start watching your other travels soon….
Like your insight and a real-life perspective on DR, no fluff. Coming to cabarete in a few months. Any suggestions on clean affordable spots to stay not far from the beach?
You can find lots of apartments available on Airbnb. If you want to be on the beach your going to pay more but if you want a more of an authentic experience, you can stay a short walk from the beach in one of the neighborhoods.
Thanks for sharing
Gracias por compartir!
I will be there next weekend
Hope you have a great time🫶🏽
Well done sir! I'm coming down in March let's bbq with friends while I'm there.

Good video. 👍🏾 I am edgar to get back to dominican republic. You should do a video on puerto plata.
We did a brief overview, but maybe I go back and show more. Great suggestion!👍🏽
@The Conscious Traveler I saw that video after I saw this one. It was good too.
