Command strips stick to paint AND come off really easily later without residue or damage. Works better than painters’ tape but if that’s all you have! 🤷♀️😆 Nice work around!
Any time I have ever used command strips they have removed paint approximately 1.5 times the size of the strip I put there. I still use them because options are limited but I am not thrilled about the required repairs afterwards.

They work great if your walls are primed and painted with decent quality paint and effort. If they’re not, even this work around will mess them up… but even more so
Ain’t that the truth! Followed instructions and all, and welp, I now have little missing paint spots all over my walls. What a pain! I love painters tape.

My construction workers did this on finished paint and peeled the paint with it after removing it. Had to compound again to smooth it out again before painting. Don’t press tightly on paint because it may not work like this. We had Kilz primer and Benjamin Moore classic gray eggshell paint. 😌
I installed hidden magnets in walls and furniture before painting. It helped me while renovating to mount wires, and now I use it in Halloween and Christmas reasons

It depends on the type of masking tape. I've worked with tape that comes off totally clean after a year, and some that strips stuff after a day. I can mostly tell by the feel now but I know that's such an arbitrary marker lol
@@petrescue2093So is it sturdier than masking tape? I haven't ever used the green tape, but the blue tape and regular masking tape would never hold that hook on the wall if it were holding up some fairly heavy fake greenery.
