One of the best mini-documentaries I have seen of Mrs. Kennedy. I met them both years ago in Newport, RI and have very fond memories of those days--both after their marriage at St. Mary's Church (which you show) and later at the summer residence at Hammersmith Farm. You have done a fine job with this: tender, respectful, and in good taste. Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO OUR YOUNG FIRST FAMILY. LOOKING AT THESE PICTURES I REALIZE HOW VERY NAIVE AND INNOCENT WE WERE. OUR CHILDRENS GENERATION ARE MUCH MORE SOPHISTICATED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
I was struck by her grief and deep sadness at 6:00 sec - then she lowers her head in despair - pulls at your heart. A young widow with young kids - so tragic. She still retained her beauty into her older years. RIP Jackie.
Oh my god. What an absolutely beautiful, classy, graceful, courageous and loving woman. Never forget her as long as I live...God Bless Jacqueline Kennedy...
When I was little I asked my mom if Jackie is the most beautiful woman in the world. Without batting an eye, she declared, yes, and the smartest and most clever.
This is one of the most beautiful tributes, and retrospect I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing it. Whenever I was asked if you could meet anyone in the world who would it be...I always said Jacqueline Kennedy. Again..thank you for sharing.
From 'across the Pond' thank you for this delightful tribute to the First Lady. Even though I was just 2 months into my 3rd birthday when JFK was assassinated I can vividly recall the reaction of my parents at that time.Seeing my father with tears in his eyes was new to me.News reports were unmissable & seeing the grief on Jackie's face was my 1st introduction to bereavement.Whether or not the Kennedy's were 'cursed' this family certainly knew their share of tragedy.A beautiful tribute.
I remember very well how women respected her. She represented class and culture, not a lot of sensationalism. She was not a marketing tool. She did good work in bring the arts to the American . She didn't need a lot of attention. She was well read. She inspired my mother like so many other women have dignity, get the work done.
All my respect and admiration to this good and charming Lady. Her life has been filled with joys and dreadful sadness, she faced everything with courage, and never gave up. May God bless this great woman and may she rest in peace in Heaven. (from Canada)🇨🇦
She was such a beautiful, elegant lady. The pictures of Jackie and President Kennedy getting off the plane in Dallas, that pink suit which was later covered in blood....gives me chills.
@@todoroki2134 so you think she should have lived alone for another thirty years as some sort of US version of throwing yourself on the funeral pyre? Being a widow is a horrible, hellish thing, as ONLY widows understand, and no one can completely replace a lost love. But anyone who can find another love has a right to it, and more power to them. Jack died in 1963. Jacqueline did not!!!! What right did you have to be mad?
A beautiful tribute to an iconic lady . Inspirational. Both President Kennedy and Mrs Kennedy represented the future at that time which all of us inspired at that time to emulate . So different from the world of today . The world was a gentler place to live in God bless them both .
Thank you what a wonderful trip down memory lane...Everything was beautifully put from all the delicate pictures of her and Pres Kennedy and children to the magic sound of the piano. I loved how you put it in sequence too. Started happy song and they young days to the middle until that fateful day in Dallas the sudden change of sombre music...made me cry and then back to the starting music as she appears a much stronger woman/mother for her kids she lived for...once again Thank You !
It was a different world then. Love for country and fellowman. This family knew the constitution, and respected its great words! Nothing is perfect yet we have fallen to levels like never before.
I admired the most beautiful first Lady in the world, JACQUELINE B. KENNEDY, she was a model in all the way she dressed and she speaks in a soft voice with respect to people around her, she's lovely like a fairy tale...
Thank you for the lovely compliment Maggie....and I like you...always said the same thing, I would have loved meeting her as well. I'm sure she was a facinating woman.
Thank you for your comment Greemaxe! It's true, fashion today certainly could take a few more clues from this time, for men as well. I always admired Jackie, not only for her dignity, but for rasing two wonderful children. Caroline today, still exhibits her mother's flair and social responsibilities. Thank you again.
Uma grande mulher, embora eu não tenha vivido esse tempo, sou de 1999, 5 após seu falecimento, Quando eu for pai vou colocar o nome da minha filha de Jacqueline em memória dela 💖💖💖
She was not a she! These poor deceived subjugated folks commenting here have no idea JBK was born MALE and raised female as his ancestors religious beliefs required of him. Born and raised to deceive. He did a great job no doubt about it, but you see there will always be those that can not be deceived and NEVER will be!
What a graceful and beautiful lady to have in the White House. She was so respectful of American History and moved us forward in our time of need with dignity. She will never be replaced in our hearts and minds. God bless Amwrica. We were blessed.
I thoroughly loved this Blog of pictures in Jackie’s time. It was like she went through her life as Three Women. First as Jack’s wife, than as Onassis’s wife, than with her final Partner and she was quite Happy. She had gone through soooo much pain and Grief . First losing Jack so horribly. Than the Pain Of how Onassis had treated her through the ugliest of Christina, and Onassis losing his son so terribly. Onassis grew to hate her, I believe toward the end. Than she found her true love in Maurice Stapelsman. Most important her life was her Children and Grand children. Was she called Grandma? I hope she did not suffer too long with her Cancer!!!!!!! When did Maurice die and where is her buried? Jackie did have such an Elegant Life with all the Traveling, fine dining, balls, dinner parties, and gowns, seeing all the Different Countries. JACKIE WAS OUR PRINCESS, I dearly loved her and hearing all about her. I would love to hear more on Caroline and her Family.
Vida instante ,que fica são linda lembranças vividas .in memorian 😢❤
What a beautiful tribute to an elegant and fascinating lady. Thank you for posting !

Yes. This is one of the best. The musical suite suits her and the pictures are some of my favorites.

Her grace and beauty made our lives so magical.. and she held us together as a Nation when her Husband died!

Well done, I normally do not sit through slide shows, but you got me on this one. Thanks for this tribute to this amazing lady.
I remember watching that moment on TV too.....even as an eleven year old boy, it struck me the very same. Thank you for commenting.

Whats is tribute, for público servent, any good is they obligation get pay, whats is the admiration, for nothing, what ignorância,!
Αbsolutely yes!
She completely changed the White House as the first lady.
Very clever and talented woman.
The most beautiful and elegant First Lady in U.S History
She married Onassis for security protection for her kids. It was very clear there were forces against the Kennedy family.
Well I did get mad when she got remarried but I got so happy when I knew her grave was right next to John F Kennedy
@@lifehope4603 and in reading about her life with him, they DID have a lot of affection for one another, and he was good to her children.

Women used to dress and look so elegant and classy back then. God how they have deteoriated!! lol, No offence, just being honest!!
Well said the fashion was classic at that time❤️❤️❤️
Be fair. Men didn't wear those stupid looking baseball caps all the time, even at restaurant tables, back then, either.
Captures her personality.. A women of integrity..and class and simplicity...and honor.. and dignity...love,c...

Brian Crain's "Butterfly Waltz. :-)
She was 34 when jfk died. One can see how quickly she aged after that. Worries, despair and sadness took over. Life is so unpredictable
