he obviously practiced those crazy trick shots enough to a point that he could pull it off so naturally in the game. his awareness and touch around the basket during his early day is in my opinion, still second to none. he was way way way more spectacular than the flashiest layup makers of today ( curry, irving, rose before his injury and some more) in a much more consistent basis pulling off these type of shots in game.
One of the amazing things i see in a lot of early MJ videos is announcers saying the greatest ever or one of the greatest ever in a video when MJ was merely a 4 or 5 year veteran and hadn't even won a championship yet. Thats nuts.
yeah that's crazy! I think Jordan was really that ahead of time. Jordan in the 80s was like todays Westbrook and I still think MJ is the better finisher at the rim in their younger years and Michael can do acrobatic shots Westbrook do not or rarely does.
I really don't buy the Jordan couldn't shoot 3s. He just didn't take them, but when he did take around 3 a game, he was making them at a nice clip better than players of today who are considered deep threats like Melo or Kobe. This video also shows those people who say Jordan didn't develop a jumper til his championship run are way wrong. They never believe me when i say he had a great midrange from the beginning. How else do they think Jordan was averaging 37, 35, 33 ppg? All layups and dunks? lol...
LoL the crowd back then looks so perfect and still it looks like a video game! If a crowd were in show today theyd all be laid back moving or being on their phones haha

The best there ever was, the best there ever will be.

Explosiveness-wise, Rose before injury was much closer to young MJ. Just look at some of MJ's clips before 90's.
Yea people are still laughing at the idea of Lebron being the GOAT.
that first layup is truly amazing! The hangtime is unmatched

He didn't have to take them. He was so quick and lightning fast he just went in for the higher percentage shots.
He said he preferred not to because it took away being aggressive to the basket. Because you usually look for the shot first.
WTF he is just like having fun! He has alot of basketball tricks! A basketball wizard indeed
Still The Greatest of All Time. Thanks for the upload! 🏀🔥👍
MJ became a pure shooter. If he played in this era with no hand check and soft defenders he would average 40-50 per game.

Yeah. Very interesting observation!
definitely the G.O.A.T..
The show it on one side and lay it on the other side is one of the nicest layups EVER! Cuz he did it one-handed, palming the ball
thats some really rare stuff. what a video! Thanks man!
