W video, in one of your live videos, I had to explain to someone what the difference is between 2.0 and 3.0 body molds, so its nice to see someone making a video explaining it.
Thanks Krusher. I realized recently that not everyone knows the difference between the body types and I thought this was a great opportunity to take the time out to discuss it
Great Video My Man! While I Knew They Had Advanced the Articulation Over the Years, I Never Knew There Were So Many Differences. You Just Earned a New Sub!
Ayo this video was SPOT ON bro bro 🙌🏽👏🏽. Thanks for shoutout, always honored to be mentioned by you good sir. The evolution of the SHF figures of the DB franchise. Literally the only video I’ve seen breaking down the differences for those new to collecting this line. I 100% agree with pretty much of all you said in here homie and it’s really upsetting that tamashii nations hasn’t updated several figures at this point. Ones that very much need it ie both Vegeta and Freeza by now. Having been collecting for 12yrs, I see Tamashii returning to older ideas ie the soft Gi material because if you own the SHF Street Fighter Ryu &/or Ken, that’s literally what they use. Mind you those released back in 2017, that’s 6yrs ago but worked very well. I have Ken myself and it’s very good even to this day, hence why they’re implementing it in Gohan Beats and Orange Piccolo. So expect a new Goku for sure once they get to 3.5/4.0 but like the homie said time will tell the tale.
The 3.0 arm on gohan is what goku needs on his sculpt and also vegeta…and every other figure from now on, (depending on the body type of the character in question)
There getting better and better in sculpting, I think there primary focus right now may be making different and unique characters and trying out different types of articulations to see what works best. Just like Broly and Jiren, we might get improved “4.0” articulations on other characters before getting them on characters like Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta.
Great vid man, can I make a video request: If so you should make a video for people who wanna get into the line. What figure gives them the most bang for their buck. A sort of where and how to start collecting dbz figs
Got two Gohan figures and I'll be getting two Trunks figures, gonna keep one of each as is and use the other two to make a Bojack Trunks with all that new articulation. Can't wait for it.
I always tell people when they're desperate for a 1.0 old release that costs in the hundreds or thousands to check the dragon stars version of the character they want because it's practically the same articulation and dragons stars don't look that bad in person, oh and they cost 25-50 bucks at most. I.E. Buu Saga Mystic Gohan.
I love the 1.0 figures man because of the shading. They look like premium figures. I love the 3.0 body but they need to have them be able to kick their legs back and they'll be perfect. The 2.0 body is really well done except for the shoulder caps.
I’m about halfway through, but what mold would you consider the new trunks, beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo? They’re getting even newer legs and it looked like the shirts had different breaks for articulation
if tamashii can replicate what imagination works did for gokus soft gi then i think we'll be good for figures with full gis like that. But we shalls ee how they do with the upcoming ones first
What if they gave the figures legs like the prototype Chiaotzu legs? although idk if they work very well since they did change them in the final release
If this is a serious comment , then you must have some horrible luck, you've only collected like two figures ,you're extremely critical of your figures or you've been buying bootlegs and don't know it.
Excellent info man! I personally stopped collecting and have sold off my 1.0s I hate hate hate the knees, and the lip that goes over the bicep. Ugly as hell lol But I do miss the shading they used to do.
Yeah Nex, those 1.0 knees were atrocious 🤣🤣 I can't believe I think they were ok. As for the shading it seems like for the most part the more "advanced" the engineering the less the paint 😂
Gohan beast does have torso movement. The torso cut in not on the shirt it's under the shirt, and the shirt is made of soft material, the same is for orange piccolo
2.0 is so much better than 3.0 in my opinion. I'm a minority here but hear me out. But I think the hips of the 2.0 look much more natural for baggy pants and less gapy and robotic looking. They also have a great blance of articulation. The 3.0s can now do perfect splits but the 2.0s can kick back. The Ankles...yes the ankles that everyone complains about I think are better. They're more stable and extremely easy to fix if theres issues with them because its a simple ball joint. The articulation is fine and does most things a normal human ankle can do except point all the way down. I prefer stability and ease of maintainence to extra posability. The 3.0s suck. Ever 3.0 i got has at least one extremely floppy foot that can't hold weight and can't be tightened. The new engineering is not worth the trade off and I'm honestly annoyed so many collectors whined about the 2.0 and now every new figure I get has these new bootleg joints. Thanks guys, I really love extra articulation thats incredibly unstable. The extra arm articulation is nice though but I never had issue with the old articulation. This is less of an issue with the mold, but the newer Sh. Figuarts have abysmal quality control compared to most 2.0 era figuarts. And the late 2.0 era figuarts with quality control issues were easier for me to fix. Virtually all my 3.0 era figuarts are made with noticibly cheaper plastic that downgrades the feel and how figures move. The only improvement that doesn't come with a catch in this era has been the expressions and sculpt work. But I honestly feel like sh. Figuarts is going down in quality and I much prefer to get the older figuarts even if they're more expensive because at least I don't have to worry about them coming out the box with shody quality control. I feel annoyed because people kept bitching about everything that I personally enjoyed about 2.0 and now they took it away. I can't believe so many people think that Sh. Figuarts are improving? In some ways yeah but in many ways...hell no.
I call them 2.5 because they are basically improved versions of the original 2.0 but not 3.0. it is all still 2.0 tech in terms of how the joints are assembled. But in all to me it definitely represents a half way point from the bodies that super Saiyan God Goku and something like super Saiyan 4 Goku.
1.0 crotch and legs(pants) look way better. 2.0 legs look too straight and parallel. Not baggy enought. 3.0 is okay. 3.0 arms are the best. 1.0 and 2.0 are about even for me. 2.0 arms are better for thinner guys
Even though I know the differences... it's still mad cool to see every little difference in explanation and how far S.H. has come 😅
Glad you enjoyed the video Jackal!

Thank you as always, Saiorus, my good man💪🏾

I could definitely see new 4.0 tech used on other characters before they used it on main characters
Great video! I think this goes to show the measures the company is taking to improve their product overtime
Thanks saiyan boy!💪🏾
Yeah but quality control and prices need work
Great vid man, can I make a video request:

I'll definitely consider it! Going to have to do a bit of research though. But this is a really good idea
Thanks for this video. I'm a new collector from the 3.0 line
No problem Phillip 🙌🏾
this is the content i was looking for; thanks :) please make more guide videos, like for exaple: customizing figures, swaping parts
These things will be featured in the future 😁
Got two Gohan figures and I'll be getting two Trunks figures, gonna keep one of each as is and use the other two to make a Bojack Trunks with all that new articulation. Can't wait for it.
Ohhhhh that should make for a dope custom!
Great video per usual fam, def great for general collectors and such.💯💯💯
Thanks burst! I try💪🏾
I like 2.0 and 3.0
NooO OnLEe 1.0!!!-👴
Full Power Broly got 3.0 hips while the Wrath/SDCC/Super Hero Broly got that weird 1.0-3.0 combo with perfect range of movement.
I agree. I think those legs would be perfect for vegeta

I hated those shoulder caps on the 2.0. maybe the 4.0 will be able to kick back, we'll see though
Love the info and video❤🎉
Thank you, glad it could help
Man i found it i was looking 4 this
I was thinking about doing an updated version
I’m about halfway through, but what mold would you consider the new trunks, beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo? They’re getting even newer legs and it looked like the shirts had different breaks for articulation
Ah you got there at 13:00
if tamashii can replicate what imagination works did for gokus soft gi then i think we'll be good for figures with full gis like that. But we shalls ee how they do with the upcoming ones first
Well we already have an example of it in the street fighter line, I heard those came out pretty well
@@bombasticplasticaf1030 yea saiorus was telling me about that lol. Honestly got tempted to get one to see how they fair even today💀
What if they gave the figures legs like the prototype Chiaotzu legs? although idk if they work very well since they did change them in the final release
Dont like 3.0 sculpted butts but maybe i will love the rest as Trunks might be my first 3.0 (only bave 2 2.0 rn)
Maybe you will, time with tell the tale
they're there because SSJ4 needed a mounting point for the tail
Hey do you when the trunks shfiguarts will come out?
If you import it directly from Japan. It'll be out next month
@@bombasticplasticaf1030 oh ok, what about the US release?
I need answers every figure I collect has either. Paint defects, horrible molding or broken when i buy it new

2.0 had best hips but 3.0 had best arms but some needs to me less bulky
Hey man I just saw Kong studios stuff get nuked
Everything is gone did they say anything?
I think it's possible all of that stuff is just sold out
So I found out they are just reorganizing their site, it doesn't mean that all the Kong stuff is sold out
@@bombasticplasticaf1030 Ah I see thanks for the info
what do you think of beast gohans torso movment since he doest seem to have the chest joint
Gohan beast does have torso movement. The torso cut in not on the shirt it's under the shirt, and the shirt is made of soft material, the same is for orange piccolo
Piccolo, Gogeta, Super Buu and Bardock had "2.5" engineering.
I like 2.o still
Fair enough

1.0 needs to calm down or I’m gonna buss
1.0 crotch and legs(pants) look way better. 2.0 legs look too straight and parallel. Not baggy enought. 3.0 is okay.
3.0 arms are the best. 1.0 and 2.0 are about even for me. 2.0 arms are better for thinner guys
1.0 had a better looking chest and better hair.
