I remember Y'shtola being great at mechanics, especially compared to Alisaie. Gotta keep your attention though, sometimes her inner Black Mage takes over and she refuses to move until it's too late^^

really? Alisaie is the one who is great at mechanics for me since she is the one who use sprint often. In lv91 dungeon first boss especially when there is one plant that use donut aoe while lots of aoe markers still happening. Alisaie just sprint while others walk leisurely

I haven't noticed it myself but people say y'shtola perfectly avoids magic attacks but occasionally gets hit by the physical attacks due to how she actually sees

Dungeons were giving me a run for my money, but nothing truly came to the lunacy of all the level 100 content, the level 100 dungeons and normal trial are some tricky fights to work through. The kid gloves are truly off there, especially with the trial, honestly probably has one of the hardest mechanics I have ever seen in a normal mode and the level 100 content has gotten a few wipes on me in general, something I thought wouldn't happen in a dungeon again

It is the start of an expansion. It was like that with EW as well, but once you learn the patterns and fights, they are extremely easy. Honestly I found most of the bosses average. Except for the one boss at the end of 3rd dungeon which has no rhyme or reason or pattern and can have a completely different pattern.

To be fair, DT's dungeons don't have a lot of new mechanics, it just cranks up the mechanic speed by about 15%, minus the optional dungeons, the optional dungeons have some pretty nuts shenanigans
(Spoiler for final trial attack name)
though the final trials crazy move, Absolute Authority cannot be understated just how insane that attack actually is, the only thing is it gives you an immediate lb3 to recover if a lot of people die to the mechanic

I like the fact that you can no longer sleepwalk through dungeons. Reminds me of doing lv 50 dungeons before they got nerfed to shit. That being said, screw the first boss of the Deadwalk.

The gameplay saved the expansion for me. I do not like the MSQ but the duties are so fun, they do not feel like a cakewalk, especially since I'm making Picto. It just feels like they got way more creative, trash mobs are actually threatening, mechanics don't take 15 minutes before they start to overlap, I've been having a great time with it. Excited for raids, I really hope they keep this fight philosophy going forward.

I wouldn't say trash mobs are threatening. They just are tanky. I've never died to a trash mob and now people are already blowing through trash with the 700 gear.

@@iceman3317 They were at launch, at least for DRK, but even just being tanky, they're not just basic trash, they're actively trying to switch things up which I think they should continue doing. Because even when the gear goes up, the new dungeons are still much more fun than basically all the older ones, even from just the boss mechanics being much more frequent. I just appreciate that they actually are trying to change the formula and it's going in the right direction instead of stagnating or getting easier.

I think all the dungeons and stuff are pretty easy honestly. I think the hardest is the first boss on one of the Post MSQ dungeons which I think everyone hates because the hit box is so dumb. The only I hate the most is the last boss on the 3rd MSQ dungeon. You shouldn't have a 1 hit ko + un avoidable Push back move on a story dungeon. Not to mention the push + stack marker. And you can be pushed off. That is the only boss I have a problem with. On a trial or raid I can see that being acceptable, but not a dungeon. Think everything else is pretty good.
