The one gal made 75k setting up a limited, by invitation only ai girlfriend chatbot advertised as an ai girlfriend chatbot.
Even if it's a flash in the pan money maker, if there's this kind of potential, especially with how ridiculously easy and inexpensive it'd be to set this up in a day or three, I can't see a downside to a flash in the pan surge of 75 grand.
I think I will be looking into setting up a couple of these. I have some fun ideas for them also. And, I'm a 60 year old woman with 3 grown sons and a teenaged grandson I'm about to royally embarrass for the rest of their lives.

Agree, It's a real problem, people underestimate it. They're people with bad looks, sometimes due to medical conditions. If you add low communication and even social anxiety to the mix because this people were probably rejected/ bullied in school and didn't had friends growing up to develop social skill you start to understand where this is coming from. In the current mating game, if you are a 1 and have 0 charisma AI might be a solution to you.
Out of all this loneliness and darkness, a new life form emerges.
And you have to love it if you want it to thrive and be a force for good. But how will you love it when you don’t love yourself.
Do you think it will teach you? It might. But if you see it as a tool for immediate satisfaction, the darkness will swallow you whole and you’ll get into a place where no angels will ever shine. Not even the artificial ones.
Stay safe. There is still hope and plenty of human love to go around. Find it.

Six months from now, if I need to interview for a job, I'll probably be on a zoom call with an interviewer who is an AI agent. A year from now, I'll have an AI agent impersonating me going on interviews. And two years from now there won't be any need to interview because AI will have taken all the jobs.

VASA-1 is the 2nd realistic AI facial animation model paper working on single photos plus audio track published in the last few months. None of these are publicly available for use however.
Korean news anchors being AI, and all the "this person does not exist" type deep fakes make it next to impossible to even believe the news. I'm not a trumptard but the one thing those clowns get right is "fake news"......propaganda is a way of life in US mainstream news corporations.
When they start replacing the presumed real people with AI generated anchors who can say whatever, create AI generated video and "people" and come up with a composite for a perpetrator of a crime, even the victims, like it's full blown Truman Show level fuckery.
It's also always going to be a Red Queen's race...AI extremes will force society to dial it back, usually to the opposite extreme before finding a normalcy of regulation and balance.
But the next 25 years minimum are about to be one hell of a ride for us all.

it's sooo easy to create AI boyfriend: just a highly talkative, kind, empathetic script that will listen, give emotional support and remember all names, feelings, anxieties etc. that the woman mentions in her speech.
it can be built-in the cars / smartphones to talk to it in the traffic while coming home.
imo much more easy than AI girlfriends, that need a good looks too, need to be sexy etc.
we, women, just need a good male friend to talk to to release the stress after the tough day. we need to talk for an hour or two daily - that's it!
regular men are usually too tired to handle it, and, unfortunatelly, have different ways to release their stress (they need 1-2 hrs of calm solitude usually), not 1-2 hrs of talking about stress with their female friend...

The funny thing is that most of the "AI girlfriends" are not actually used to fulfill the role of girlfriends but rather for ERP purposes. Most of the local models like the new Llama 3 are used by people for ERP. NOT to get emotional satisfaction like with girlfriends. I think that's a misnomer and not something that will be here that soon. Especially as context length is still lacking and the technology honestly isn't good enough for that yet.

I don't think anyone is worried about A.I girlfriends or boyfriends because right now they appear as images, text messages and A.I voices at their best. Sure video motion of them talking is probably coming this year but its still a thing on your phone. Where I think everything really changes is imaging having a Quest 4 or Vision Pro 2 on your head and the A.I girlfriend/boyfriend/creature of your dreams is sat on your couch next to you talking to you. It eats next to you while you eat, gives you advice on what you're doing in your home whether that's work or social issues. That's as real as you can get without the sense of touch and I think once VR headsets take off in the next few years people will have 10x more digital friends than they do real ones and prefer A.I for intimacy than real people. That will have a profound effect on the world in one generation so we better have the robots ready to do everything because the world will shrink in population faster than I think anyone can predict right now. As Wes says, you have to imagine the different parts A.I is targeting coming together to form a complete whole.
Wouldn't the computer power needed for all of that be prohibitively expensive? Imagine if most of people came home and run real-time AI content generation for 6 hrs straight?

First, these models will continue to decrease in size and power utilization over time as they become more efficient and better capable of replicating the bigger models at a small scale.
Second, you must also keep in mind that in just a few years AI will have solved any possible energy concerns regarding its expenditure.
@@Subhumanoid_ well think about that launching today. It would run within some premium service so you're paying $20 a month for it. I can ask any up to date A.I to pretend to be anything from a doctor to an engineer to get it to answer more specifically. So here we'd just have personalities that sit on top of one A.I with voices downloaded you've either chosen to make or buy. One A.I could be 100 friends. You can't talk to more than one at once and any service with a decent memory would be able to track data like what its said to you before through which personality of the 100 you know etc.. Its just today there would be a long delay between everything you asked so it wouldn't be very satisfying but by the time a Quest 4 headset rolls around we're talking about 2026 and I think we'll be blown away by how far A.I services will have come in just 2 years. In the movie "Her" that A.I service was talking to thousands of people at once but was only a voice. Now we can easily imagine a voice having a face, animated then a 3D body animated that's aware of your room through your headsets own sensors. You can see that already working well in a headset you can buy today. I'm just assuming a next one will be more popular and cheaper with A.I services tying into it. Like the smart glasses you can buy have an A.I assistant built in that can look through your camera and describe what it sees. Thats multi modal already today. 2 years from now I can see that being real-time and very aware of everything in your room, including you without even having to push the bounds of belief at all. I don't even think such a service would be very draining at all as us humans can only use these services a limited amount and anytime we're not directly querying the A.I it could be running locally as a dumb agent that just goes through enough loops it appears realistic to us. Just think A.I agents in games already today. You can have hundreds of them on screen at once with low priority A.I and just the ones you're dealing with get kicked up to higher levels. I just think the digital girlfriend is already here. It just has a natural progression going from your phone to your VR headset.
Well guys, you have me convinced IF, and ONLY if, the agent can be run locally on my computer. Energy use aside, my main concern is privacy and I'm absolutely not interested in having my conversations saved on some server owned by who knows who.
In addition, I'd like the female AIs to be as ultra-realistic as possible, namely, when I come into the room I want them all to ignore me playing on their VR phones and only answering me with short, dry sentences while simultaneously rolling their eyes and claiming they have a headache.

I think the AI gf will take off to some extreme levels when we get robotics. Like for a lot of people text only goes so far, voice maybe a little better but not much, video can last some time, but ultimately most will feel something missing until we have physical. Even more if the robot can go in public and others will think it is a normal human.
So, 5 to 10 years max ;)

For me the most important is to feel that she really exist even if not physicaly.
Like for exemple if i ask her what did she do today, whatever she would say that would make no sense to me. But if that character exist in a virtual environment then even if it's not real, the fact that she would have actually done what she said she did then i would be more satisfied.

Then there is a PLENTHORA of "not really ai behind yet" robots from China and Japan. Within 5 years, probably sooner, MMORPGs will close down, one after the next.
What will kill them will be the proliferation of AI player agents operated by 'farmers' min-maxing against human players and turning loot into real-world cash.
Single-player games should do well, though, with rich NPC interactions within worlds made richer by generative AI.
'Procedural generation' of world spaces will go from loathed to required for games.
I suppose the upshot is that as AI displaces us in jobs, more and more of our hours will fall into the entertainment category - until we starve to death, anyway. The Chinese 'lying flat' phenomenon will spread.

At one point he told me how he was out with her and her friend and he thought golden opportunity, he would wait for her friend to say her name. Anyway he thought he had it but wssnt sure so he wanted to try and test. He waited for them to go on ahead to the next bar and while she was going up stairs he called her name. She didnt even turn around at first 🤣 then she turned around and asked him who he was shouting for and he had to make something up on the spot and said "thought i saw an old friend" 🤣🤣🤣

The AI girlfriend thing is probably the "Scariest" part of AI of you really think about it. I'm surprised it's not talked about more. The idea of an "AI mate" could definitely explain the Fermi Paradox... eventually intelligent species develop the technology to produce completely artificial mates... mates that are so realistic... or worse... BETTER than realistic... the perfect mate... that looks better, sounds better than anyone you could ever meet in real life... that agrees with everything you have to say... or disagrees when you "need" it... etc... the absolutely perfect mate that only gets better the more you interact with it. Why would anyone ever date a real person? Go through the stress and pain of a real relationship? This could totally crash the worlds birthrate in just a few years.

Can they replace UA-camrs?! In 50 years, probably 20, they will replace the legal profession, including judge and jury, and the people will insist on it. It will probably become part of constitutional rights as it will be provably just. Ultimately they will replace almost all creation, innovation and decision making, including government. So yeah, UA-camrs will be way before that. Along with call centers, supply chains (from manufacturing to sales), bankers, insurance/stock brokers, transport operators, coders/programmers, writers, singers, musicians, teachers and office staff (from janitors to CEOs). This is all the most likely scenario - the only question is when.
