    I've been stamping and papercrafting for 30 years. I LOVE these process/behind the scenes videos! The collection of supplies, the reasons for picking the supplies used, the organization of supplies and ideas - they are integral to the creative process and we don't see that aspect highlighted enough! Most vids are just, here's how I assembled the card - voila! These vids are marvelous - keep 'em coming!

    Prep prep prep. It’s great if you just need to go to your space and play. It’s productive yet not challenging. Actually I think I’ll just go into my room and die cut. Prep today. Thanks for all your ideas. I’m coming up with ideas as I watch this video.

    Hi there Jill, thank you for sharing how you have everything prepped and ready to go for cardmaking! I do something similar, I keep die cuts, and colored images ready to go, it really speeds the process and I find this especially helpful when making Christmas cards! I love your art so much, each card is a treasure. Thank you for sharing❤

    I am so excited for your upcoming videos. I love your process, watching you come up with each card idea, using both new and older products, and of course, watching you make it all look so easy to make beautiful cards. Looking forward to your videos, as always!

    Thank you for showing your process. I do something similar, I use a box also to include all the items I want to use for several cards at a time. It could be for holiday cards, birthday, thank you's , etc. I like to make cards in batches once my supplies are all out and ready to go.

    Oh my goodness....I wishI could be as organized as all that. The only thing I pull out are stamps, then I go from there. I’m a ‘fly by the seat of my pants’ kind of girl. But I can’t wait to see you create these cards!

    I do have a method before I start. I cut and fold my card(s) depending on whether they are top or side fold. I select my inside greeting (and whether I will emboss or just stamp with ink. Then I turn the card over and stamp an image I have that I color with pencils - it personalizes my card(s). I slip each card into a protective sleeve. When I’m ready to create the front(s) they’re ready to go. I don’t worry about messing up the front because I forgot to finish the inside - ask me how I know this 😅 I made a number of birthday cards this spring and summer and it really streamlines the process. Jill, again, your videos teach us tips and tricks to enjoy our hobby and delight our recipients. I finish and mail more cards when I approach the design process this way. Hugs my friend ❤

    I so enjoy these videos. Usually when I'm making a group of cards, for Christmas as an example, I'll make one 'sample' card and keep out the products I end up intending to use so that I can have a (sort of) assembly line going. But I've learned so much from watching your videos so next time I'm going to try and get all the die cuts, cards borders,, layers, etc. ready like your videos demonstrate. I'll going to try the same thing even if I'm just thinking of a theme or wanting to get some friendship cards or booklets ready to go. I think it's going to really be helpful. Thank you and please keep these videos coming.

    Thank you for all of the ideas! You’re so very talented! I bought the postage stamp set last year after seeing it on your video and use it for many occasions by just changing the image inside. It’s one of my favorites! I’ll be using it for Valentine’s cards too!

    I tried your stash idea when making Christmas cards this fall. Pre-cutting the pieces for one set of cards went well. But then, I couldn’t wait to begin and made all those cards leaving my other ideas in the box. Oh well, there is always next year! Thanks for the ideas , Jill. I look forward to your videos.

    Hi Jill. Thank you for your latest video on stash-busting and for always giving us great ideas to become more efficient crafters. I always seem to learn something new when I watch them. It has really helped me to become better organized and I use individual baskets to add items for each project. Before doing my projects with your system, I used to stop my project and go looking for other stamps etc. Now I limit myself to preparing my basket and use the items I selected. I am excited to see your videos on the new releases. Hugs from Michigan😀

    Jill, thanks for sharing your thought processes of preparing for the special cards that you make! I need to be more prepared like you as I make my cards, instead of waiting to the last minute. I want my cards to be special; so I am usually late getting them out. :(

    I love these videos! I am trying to do more watercoloring in my cards but am still not pleased with a lot of the outcomes. Penny Black has so many wonderful stamps. Would it be possible for you to demonstrate cards that do not involve layered coloring? Thanks so much for sharing your talents!!!

    Thanks Jill! I am so glad we have the opportunity to purchase sketch ideas. For my Christmas cards I purchased the first electronic sketch ideas - it is a wonderful reference. Quick question- when you prep, do you usually die cut half using watercolor paper & half using Neenah smooth white cardstock?

    • @PennyBlackInc
      @PennyBlackInc  Рік тому +1

      Thanks so much for your e-book purchase and kind words! Great question- if I expect I'll be inking blending on the die cut, I will cut from Neenah; if I expect I will be painting I will cut from watercolor paper; and if I have no idea when I'm cutting, I cut about half from watercolor paper and have from smooth cardstock. :)

    Hey, Jill! Thanks for the video. It's a great concept. I'm shopping on the site and want to add to my wishlist but don't see an option for that. I see the wishlist but how do I add to it? Thanks!

      Thanks so much for your comment and question. I think our headquarters office is still developing the wishlist function on the site, but they'd be able to help you more with any technical questions. They can be reached via email at info@pennyblackinc.com :) Happy stamping!
