Scotland have shown us what politicians should be!
Am so ashamed of Parliament the total absence of any humanity is deeply disturbing & shocking!
    To allow this is horrific!
    But to support it!
Moral abdication sums it up perfectly.

The suffering of the children is by far the hardest to bare!!
A little boy of about 18 months sitting bruised & trembling will stay with me for ever!
Reminds me so much of my childrens reaction to fireworks at that age!
But nobody to hold him tight & tell him he’d be ok!
Never wanted to reach through the screen & take that child & keep him safe so much before!

No one could ever justify the cruelty being given to these innocent little kids, I’m not religious but I hope their god will judge them with the same compassion they themselves have shown !!! 😢😢

I am a SCot. You clearly have not seen Humzas “white rant”. It was so overtly racist and I was absolutely appalled. Scotland is over95% white so of course will be represented in government accordingly. In this racist rant he said the officials names followed individually by the word “white”. Is this way to address the country and people that welcomed his parents ?
Since Humza entered into politics he has not been a success anything he has done, most notably the health minister. Services have been decimated across the board since the snp got into power. Problems such as health, education, a failing infrastructure, the highest incidence of dug related deaths in Europe, issues in child poverty…….
Scotland once had a world reputation for fiscal prudence , not so with the snp .There are huge holes in their budget There are big questions over Humza sending finance to Gaza which is not his right and he invited Gaza's to come to come to Scotland which also is not within his power.
Scotland has an EMIGRATION problem and always has had as Alex Salmond alluded to shortly after the eureferendum. Scotland is a great country but not because of the snp but despite it.
Should the snp get in the GE it will not be because people have faith in thesnps ability to govern but simply because people believe the Tories and labour would even worse. People are fed up with the political games. And the snp could not organise a 4 lettered word in a brothel.
Lastly the Gaza issue is very complex and there is no easy answer. Do we just ignore the fact that Hamas stated that should there be a ceasefire then they will simply repeat the exercise that took place on 7/10?
Nobody on either side wand the unnecessary suffering of innocent civilians and Scotland is no different.

I have not attested to the ability or successes of Humza Yousef, have I? or of the worthiness or opinions he holds. I have said that If I were in scotland I would (on the bases of what I have heard) voted for him.
I made clear I was not a Scot or in Scotland, so what is your point?
Are you so dismayed by your political failures in Scotland to prevent your sectarian allegiances effecting the ousting of the SNP or have you come to realise that nobody in Scotland agrees with you personally?, I feel you come to the internet and spout this to those it does not affect because you get no traction with this bile in Scotland and just want to be heard?
You have nothing but blame for everyone, Scots have emigrated away for centuries before Alex Salmond, not only Scotland, but Ireland, Wales, and England too, From Iceland Greenland and France, Germany, and the whole continent of Africa. You are being myopic and using a lot of generalisations and targeted blame. That is the way of the loser, the defeatist and the pathetic.
lastly you disagree with the SNP and say that if the SNP win the next General Election (GE) it is only because Scots don't want the Tories or Labour, well if it is not Tories, Labour LibDems or SNP just who do Scots want then?

100%. I’m also English, living in London - once a Labour member, but I won’t be voting for them this time around (with the exception of voting for one of my local Labour councillors when those elections roll around, because she’s great - a woman of colour who truly cares about and stands up for her constituents!).
I’d previously been quite pleased that David Lammy was my MP, especially given the absolute state of some other London constituency MPs; but he previously lost my enthusiastic support over his failure to fully support trans rights, and since October he’s taken any regard I once held him in and stomped all over it (several horrifying segments on his shows on LBC and absolutely berating his callers when they tried to question his pro-Israel stance come to mind).
I’ll be doing my research into the candidates and probably voting Green… it would be a dream to have the option of voting for someone like Humza Yousaf, because he’s clearly a decent and brilliant leader! (Clearly he’s not the leader of a party anymore, but I’ve been a fan of Jeremy Corbyn for ~14 years, though alas, I haven’t lived in his constituency for the vast majority of that time!)
And if Scotland want to seek independence, clearly they have the right to self-determination just the same as the Palestinians do! So while I don’t *want* Scotland to leave the UK and I don’t know if it’s a good idea for them or not, it’s very much not up to me, and they should have the right to decide it! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The horror unfolding in Gaza is like nothing seen before. The majority of the 2.3 million Gazan Palestinians, around 1.5 million, are now in Rafah, and these people, traumatized by four months of ongoing carpet bombing, are starving, are without shelter and diseases are rapidly spreading amongst them.
The death toll is closing in on 30,000 Palestinians, with the majority being civilians. Over 100,000 Palestinians have been injured or killed. Thousands are lost under the rubble of the more than 50 percent destroyed buildings. Food, water, medicine and fuel supplies have been cut since October

Scotland deserves to have another independence referendum and finally break the yoke of Westminster.
The handling of Gaza and the historical inadequacies of Westminster to not just abide by international law and enforce just jurisprudence, to say nothing of committing to their responsibilities of the treaties signed, but to consistently put Scotland second and more recently the entire nonesense with the speaker, remind Scotland that they will never have an equitable seat at the table when it comes to the decisions that historically matter.
The UK’s political party structures are transforming into a reflection of the two party system of the United States at a frightening rate and all in the face of the atrocities of Israel.

No obfuscation like Starmer or Sunak who have been dodging and sliding for months. Shout out for Stephen Flynn too, a formidable presence in the house of commons. I'm pleased that he stressed the importance of the ceasefire was not only for safeguarding the Palestinians but also the hostages too. Unless the constant and indiscriminate bombing of Gaza by Israel is not stopped immediately, there soon may not be any hostages left to save.

Exactly, a true humanitarian advocates for ALL humans, not based on any other factors of devision.
And people living in the Gazs strip have most definitely been let down by government and so called humanitarian organisations.
Their 'government' have dragged all these poor innocent people into a fight, while the aid goes to their billionaire 'leaders' sitting comfortably in Qatar or hiding in a tunnel network larger than the London Underground. The leaders themselves have said publicly that they are not responsible for their peoples safety. Why? They explain it is because the people are 'refugees', as designated by UNRWA. Only this agency count refugees as a status passed down the generations. Why? No other group have ever been regarded as refugees in this way. Why do this? Well, this status enables the continuation of money as aid going to these billionaire 'leaders'. End the wars, make peace = no more endless aid to the billionaire leaders Sat in Qatar.
The people in Gaza are being used, and they know it. And some incredible and brave people in Gaza are speaking out at great risk their lives and the lives of their family. They are not free to speak under the totalitarian Hamas regime.
People in Gaza deserve better. All people deserve better than to be used in this horrific way and placed in the middle of a situation to perpetuate the money making scam that is driven by the few corrupt puppet masters.
Rafa is a city split by a country border. 14 miles of border between Gaza and Egypt yet no help for them from their Brothers and Sisters in Egypt. People of Gaza deserve freedom not dictatorships. They deserve safety, not to be used as pawns and brainwashed with hateful rhetoric to keep them in this awful position. It is truly shocking but sadly unsurprising.

These dud parties were not supporters of the greens or anything , but it's a UK General election year so it was an opportunity to stamp on the SNP government while they were vulnerable. I have no doubt the instructions came from the London HQ of each party. Notwithstanding the vile politics in UK, I have a nasty feeling that this was about him being a Muslim.
