Nah. The trash mobs are there for us ff11 fans, and even some of them were NM from the original game. It might be a waste for someone who never play 11, but for many fans, they appreciate anything we can get from ff11..lol 1st pack was enemies from dynamis, and 2 packs were normal and NM from inside the boyahda tree.
Some of them made sense, trash pulls on way to 2nd boss involved enemies u could fight on the way to the nms *boss* in this case. So it's not entirely random, on way to first boss we ran thru and old dynamis raid that involved said enemies as well.
It goes a step further. Save the first one, which was just showing that you could have enemies in Jeuno (Dynamis-Jeuno), the other 2 packs were - first pack being mobs that you had to kill to spawn a NM and the other mobs around, second pack is the mobs + the actual NM. And Aquarius has its ffxi ability of not having a timer on his GCD (just spams attacks). I dunno if Despot is faster or not as every time i've run it it's just killed on the spot.
LOL that first Prishe big knockback I like how Xeno made sure to position himself where EVERY single possible landing point was in spikes. Pro gamer move.
I was in a random group from the duty finder and it took us 55 minutes to complete the raid. We wiped on the first boss, came pretty damn close on the last one.
Wait a bit. People said the same about Aglaia, then we got the other raids and Nald'Thals scale mechanic is so easy skippable that I havent seen it in over a year. But I halfly agree, I dont think they can be worse than Endwalkers alliance raids. Still like Puppet Bunker more because of the PvP "aspects"
I wish the music was as good as the EW trials though, but fair enough if that's the FFXI music. I guess we know now why the music of Arcadion was so good.
the trash pulls are reminiscent of dynamis runs and boyahda tree exp/aquarius parties from ffxi. i think they're purely there to appeal to ffxi players and little else. as a ffxi player back when it was peak, i appreciate the trash pulls even if they are short, simple, and lame.
The music has me nostalgic af. Makes me want to come back to ff14 and play again. Having the trash between bosses is peak ffxi, when i saw Despot i was like oooooh hahah
@@andrewclear8905 Black mages time nuking all the things to avoid Trash and for time extending statues, then the heroes gauntlet in Beacudine for the relic NM'S such memories.
i hope they dont fuck up chaotic raid difficulty, i do like the jeuno difficulty it has tbh, its not blind hamming your buttons till stuff dies, you actually have to avoid alot stuff to not die(except tanks) so i hope they continue with that difficulty scheme for all alliance raids onwards as the design is very well done for 24 ppls.
the duty finder i went in to for first time, we took almost until the full lockout. wiped like 5 times on every boss and were on the verge of wiping most of the time. summoners and redmage working overtime to res everyone
I hope they make another alliance as hard as Orbonne Monastery was on release. My first run on that one hit the time limit and got the "duty failed" screen 😂
What's funny is that the voice cues make the first fight way easier. You don't even need to look at her, she literally counts for you. The trash packs are there to build resources for opener between bosses, just like CLL/Dalriada with the hallway "minibosses." At least their placement makes sense on that front unlike some of the crap we got in the CT raids.
Yeah premade with voice chat and pugs who probably already did the raid several times over and enough savage gear to skip mechanics made this shit a snooze fest for them. Still better than EW alliance raids though lmao. Gotta wait for Chaotic Alliance Raids to see those wipes. Or quit being a bunch of babies and solo queue in DF on some DC known for having shit randos (like Primal, sooo many bad DF players there who somehow still don't know what interrupt even is...like how?) But if it makes you feel any better, Xeno's party basically wiped (6-7 people dying all at once including both healers) twice during the raid and the randos had to rez their dumb asses. And Xeno floor tanked twice. Pretty cringe to die on casual content as a tank.
the trash makes alot of sense for ffxi players, 1st ones in jeuno are mobs in dynamis jeuno endgame, second trash on second part aquarios is a nm in ffxi well known , and same for the last trash in the last part . Its all a call back to ffxi, they are famous mobs and nms .
Not me, laughing, knowing that if you can quickly teleport and pull both of the trash packs before the 2nd boss its utter chaos for people arriving late ;)
one I thing I don't get, is how the savage raiders who cleared & farmed fail the first boss's uppercut, which was literally introduced in M1S (the visual indicator, at least). Only very bald people could be so foolish to fall for it lol
I mean yeah it’s the same idea from black cat (the visual indicators are only in the normal mode tho), but in my first run it didn’t click for me that she literally counts for you “wait for ittt”, so I didn’t know how far I’m getting knocked back, until like the end of the fight lol
Its the same mech as black cat, the diff is that black cat how you aim is diff. In savage you look where you want to go, with her tbh i think your rotation is locked to her? I didnt get it at first simply bc the way i was facing didnt match how i wanted to go lol
Dude practically got spoiled by these healers lol. I thought for sure they were gonna wipe on Fafnir. Though the fact someone knew how to deal with the reaper black mage's meteor was pretty telling that enough of them had done it at least once before
Honestly, and this might just be recency bias but this is the best alliance raid of all time. The mechanics are so fun and creative + quite challenging for what it is. If they keep the current quality of battle content up this is gonna be the best expansion (ignoring story lol)
adds are for XI players. Most of them were NMs. If they wanted to make XI players happy, they probably shouldn't have made this shit so easy, or put it in an alliance raid. Shadow Lord is supposed to have magic invuln and physical invuln stages. That's like his only gimmick in XI, it's an easy fight their as well. This just feels like a Disney attraction. All nostalgia with little substance aside from Fafnir. The bosses are ordered strangely as well. SL would be one of the first major bosses you fight, then Ark Angels (Divine Might) if you kept with the story and then you spend the rest of your life camping Fafnir/Nidhogg.
I don’t think all of them were new, it seemed to me that several of them have already done it before they joined with xeems, just a guess from seeing how they immediately knew how to deal with the blm
This raid was small, and I'm an OG 11 player and an OG 14 player. I honestly feel all 24-man raids are meant to be easy, as a big fan of 11, I like the nostalgia, but damn they should have done better, especially on this raid. FF11 was the dark souls / elden ring of FF series, but it was hard back in the lv 75 era. The current FF11 is much harder now and need people to do endgame and hit master level which is a big grind.
If only the trash wasn't so bad and the bosses weren't undertuned this might've been A tier, sadly ever since Stormblood SE undertunes every AR. Sadly have same feeling as I did on first wing of EW AR
I dont care about story anymore, got tired of 90000000000hours of cutscenes, I just want to play my damn game lol, I skip it, and watch lore videos later, fuck it all
I like the story and I honestly wait out of courtesy because I know I would want the same for me. Plus it's honestly interesting and fun for me but each person has their way of doing things. Xenos doesn't play story either. He skips it too
I took 3 food buffs, and we wiped to each boss atleast once.
Thats a 10/10 raid in my book
Adds and trash packs are so vintage ff11 love it

The trash packs were designed for OG 11 players.
It's great too because Aquarius before Fafnir Hundred Fists and its autos go hard.
Ya the OG XI Players blew their load hard when they saw this!
Everyone else is like "Butttttt whyyyyyyyyyy?!"

Same happened to me lmao 😂😂
Another Dawntrail W. Easily the best A-raid since like SB.
So much better than EW alliance Raids
We so back

This is why he never played FFXI and wondered why there are trash mobs in the first place.
The five guys are known as The Ark Angels, the fight is called Divine Might.
I liked it. Challenging, giving me PTSD. With FC we cleared in around 40-50 mins, only wiped at last boss 3%.
Same, that Fafnir gave me ptsd 😂
I've been playing since July and this was my first day 1 on a raid of any type. So much fun. Top tier content.

Xeno the trash packs contain mobs directly from ffxi

That's unfortunate that your damage was so good you didn't get to try the exa squares X_X
Took a good 50 minutes to do this in duty finder, we wiped to every boss except the first one.

I like this one because there comes a point (from 2nd boss onwards) where they just bloat you with mechanics and every first timer is overwhelmed
The trash mobs are FF11 lore if you played 11 you loved it
That timing on that ending is perfect hahaha
“I wanna spend in hour in here man”
Already saddened by the video length

This shit was so peak, Dawntrail battle content stays winning
Looks so fun😊
It was fun as hell and if you’re a FF11 vet like me it was amazing for nostalgia
@Paien75 never played it but I have it on the ps2 but they canceled it after don't know if you can still play it🤔

Crazy watching a group with good players vs....what I dealt with.
