I just downloaded Squad and played my first couple rounds because of your channel. Keep up the good work! I love your videos
Two factions i think could be pretty cool are North and South Korea, or as their armed forces are called, the Korean People's Army, and the Republic Of Korea Army, and a couple maps for them, like a Pyongyang or Seoul based map, or maybe something else.
Would love to see the Koreas in the game!
Seoul would be a insane map. Just true urban hell with sky scrapers. But Squad doesn't do urban areas justice as far as details go.

I think they missed a golden opportunity to start with the Marine Corps. The second American faction that could’ve diversified itself from the Army by being maybe more infantry focused. Strong guns and individual infantrymen that would struggle against heavier armor. Similar to the Turks right now but with a different spin.
Instead we got a Marine skin with “longer rifles” without Optics and the occasional M27.
hmm, there's really nothing stopping OWI from reworking many of the existing factions as long as these reworks make sense and improve gameplay. So maybe eventually they could!
The lack of MBTs altogether would’ve been a massive difference too if they wanted to go all out. It’d be a risky change for sure though.
I wouldn’t mind this, esp since the Turks are apparently the only faction set in 2023. That said there’s a balance to be struck with making too many meaningless changes.
@@HaebyungDance Very true, but I think playing unique factions would add longevity and freshness to the game. It’s tough to play for hours while you know you’re not going to be changing your game style unless you get a faction like insurgents or militia.
yyyeeeaaa.. And the thing is, that I can't understand the logic of Marines being the America's ultimate striking force which couldn't afford a bloody red dot sight like the Army's Aimpoints, or even EoTechs...
I mean I heard about USMC being stingy but c'mon... I can't believe they're so stingy!
This was awesone man, I'm glad that you take the time to probe your audience for feedback on your own feelings about game updates (which is def something more common for smaller channels, but is much appreciated). Another commenter mentioned the opportunity to diversify existing factions along the same lines that Turkey was done which I think would be excellent. You named a lot of great potential future factions too, and focusing on the unique equipment (and resulting gameplay diversification) is something Squad would greatly benefit from- everything you said was on point. I'd go so far as to add that diversifying factions into functions would be awesome too- "US Army" is very, very broad and seeing armor-light US Airborne and more mechanized focused armored cavalry would be an excellent way to introduce the same level of specialization to existing factions while adding depth to the copy-past factions you talked about. Also loving the color coded commentary from previous videos too, it adds a lot to clarifying the chaos of combat as you share it!
Something else I'd be interested in seeing is deeper analysis of games that might not have gone as well as other ones you've posted in videos. Victories are great, but an "after action report" for some defeats you've suffered (though that looks like very few lol) would be a great way to explain what mistakes players make in Squad and how to better them. Thanks again for your amazing videos man!

marines need a mk19 buildable
They definitely need to add the Swedish faction. The STRV alone would be cool asf.
France would also be cool with the different weird vehicles they have.

Hot take but I’d really like to see factions have different sub objectives(not just diff equipment) to reflect the differences in doctrine. Kind of like the Insurgent mode but for different conventional forces as well. I feel like it would help balance out the asymmetry more as there would be an incentive to lean into the strength of the faction as the gameplay loops would be a lot more varied.
This is an interesting idea. I imagine it’d be hard to implement but I like your thinking
The main problem is that OWI will only factions whose equipment are from between 2010 and late 2019
Yeah that’s true - if anything it helps the case for France and Japan, but it does mean any kind of USMC overhaul is unlikely.

I think the difficulty is how they go about doing this. I think some of the classic factions need some love before we gain new ones that edge them out more.
My ideas (one is yours):
1) MEA retrofits their G3s to allow for better optic mounts.
2) The US LAT kits should all use AT-4s.
3) USMC Combat Engi gains a handheld M320 with 2 HEDP.
4) PLA/PLANMC gets that cool grenade rifle.
I don't think any of that is too badly unbalanced and will make those factions more unique/desirable

Unlike those other names Republic of Türkiye is the official English name of the country now.

If germany , japon or china wants to change their global name they can do that easily . And you dont have to call Türkiye no one will force you lol But Countries officials must use Türkiye in official paper. Example : You can call south korea but countries MUST USE Republic of Korea because it is official name of country

@@OXY187 I hav emotive some oddness in the browser. Obviously running servers I have favorited aren’t showing up in favorites and sometimes the game makes me join servers when I clicked on a different one
