Thinking about doing that to my maverick too.. right now it has the ford drop in bed liner. Im not sure i like bed liner in general.. because i like when the color pops. If it was purely aesthetic, i would have no bed liner.. but eventually it will ding and scratch the bed if we put nothing. Since i don't put any heavy stuff, no tool, no brick, i don't need spray on or anything industrial grade.. the only things we use the bed for is grocery bags, and camping gears… and occasionally two e bikes. Bikes and the portable barbecue grill can indeed scratch the paint.. sso im thinking about removing the bottom drop in liner and the side walls leaving only the one in the back with the ford maverick logo.. for the botton i will put the xlt bedrug.and i will leave the side wall barebone so atleast i will have the sides color match.
I have the softer more carpet like version you just installed. While I really do enjoy it, I have actually stained it with used motor oil I was taking to recycle and I had a spray bottle of wd40 leak for a week. Both have yet to go un noticed.

We will be putting dogs in back of truck. How hard/bad is it to get dog hair vacuumed out?
Xlt will be similar to other carpets. Impact isn't carpet like at all so you may want to consider that. Could be possibly more slippery for your pets so consider that.
How do the impact, xlt, and classic ompare in terms of water retention? I'm looking for the one that dries the fastest, retains the least water, and if water falls on it that the moisture will spread the least to the rest of it, if you could possibly speak to that thanks so much

Are you sure it's less slippery? I got XLT and think it's more slippery than spray bedliner...I think the fibers make it MORE slippery...the guy sliding his feet demo'd how slippery it is. I should have gone impact....
I've experienced more sliding of items when driving with Impact than XLT when unsecured . You can see my son standing and sliding his feet barefoot without slipping. The fibers to me provide more friction as it's not as smooth. I've had trucks w spray in bedliners and I everything would slide unless secured.
Sole materials of your shoes may come into play about slipperiness however.
