On the last day of 2021 I'm sharing with you a current update on our house project. It has been a loooong time coming,but to all those of you who have ever renovated or built ... you know deadlines are hardly ever met. That was certainly the case with us. No sobbing however, the moving day is within reach and in a few weeks I will be uploading content from our long-awaited dream home ! Hope you enjoy following the updates.

What a fantastic space, I can see it will look fabulous over the next few months. I would go for a floor to ceiling mirror in your bathroom, it will bring the outside in and even more sunlight. Are you going to put any blinds/shutters on your windows ?
I was thinking the same, a huuuuuge mirror or a few floor to ceiling pieces. We’ll see what’s technically possible. In the bathroom we’ll have blinds indeed, black wooden ones.

My husband and I are contemplating a move and build of a new home in a different state upon retirement…the thought is daunting, because we are much older!!! You have handled this with such Grace! Just double and triple check all the references and make sure you have a capable and trustworthy project manager. That will ease it a lot. And for the record…my boyfriend is also “older” so that shouldn’t be a factor. Wishing you loads of inspiration in figuring out what’s best for you and your husband ! 😘❤️

Although you’ve had some inconveniences with the build of your new home, it must be very exciting. From what I can see it looks like it’s going to be beautiful. I love all the windows and you look out onto some wonderful gardens. Different countries have different designs and esthetics and it’s nice to see something different from what we have in Canada. Of course when you’re building your own home you can have it built to your personal preferences. We are in our third home and all were bought from plans in planned neighbourhoods. We had choices but not so much in layout. I’m looking forward to seeing more when you move in. As stressful as it is try and enjoy this exciting time of your life.
