I will say I’ve had great luck with Port & Co but I’ve only had embroidery done. If I buy my own work merch, I get the logo file & I get embroidery done, it’s expensive but Port & Co has nice fitting stuff. In my experience as a collector of small town cultural resource marketing hoodies, gildan doesn’t hold the image well, it likes to peel off. Terry Montana is losing the border with Canada on my sweatshirt as we speak lol

Dude you are a very smart cookie.. I've been sewing since I was 12, 13 my grandma and my mom taught me how to sew my dad also sews.. I love the way you break things down piece by piece that's pretty smart on your part.. a lot of normal consumers wouldn't know what you were talking about and you broke it down pretty simply so 10 things up to you buddy❤❤ thank you😊

I’m a sewer, too. I’m so happy to see you sewing. It is such a great and fun skill. I wish it were still taught in school. Both my grandmothers were seamstresses, as was my grandfather, a tailor. I started sewing at 12. I had such good, intense teachers who demanded excellence that I can really make anything from under wear to a fully lined man’s suit. I’m 76 now and lazy as can be, especially with such cute, cheap clothes available, but I do still make costumes for some of my students who need them for school. That’s where I did my major works.😂

My only real complaint with the Kirkland jackets has been the Velcro cuffs which I find often lack hold or longevity. IMO Costco deserves high praise for maintaining 3 outer zipper pockets and 2 inner pouch pockets. With other cheap brands you either won’t have a chest pocket or waist pockets without zippers or any inner pockets.

Yeeessss. Been waiting for a clothing version of Rose Anvil's channel. Educating on construction, materials, history, actual cost to make things, how the industry works, taking things apart to show what's on the inside, etc. I want my clothes to last a long time but am nervous to spend more money bc expensive often doesn't correlate to durability (especially after a certain threshold). Appreciate you sharing the knowledge so I can know where and what to spend money on to find what I want. Also love your philosophy of sharing knowledge so that clothing companies have to up their game, getting better products overall. Thank you!!

The tiny pocket isn't for phone or device but for ID holder or small wallet. I have that hoodie in that color and love it. Few hoodies actually have real thick feeling fleece on the inside anymore. This one does, and feels warm and comfy. I really liked how heavy this was, especially at this low price, it exceeded my expectations. I can't usually find a warm comfy hoodie at this low price, at least not where I live.

Staples that are built tough and functional but also (in my opinion) aesthetically pleasing. Also, an exploration in to alternative materials than cotton or the usual synthetic materials - materials like wool-types, alpaca, etc. These would be good when people are considering staples for winter clothing. Maybe we could live in a world where not everyone is rocking puffers in the depths of winter.

He said the Asian designers, like Rei Kawakubo, are responsible for reintroducing polyester fabrics in the ways we use them today, because polyester offers so many good fabrication possibilities, after the disco days gave polyester a bad reputation. 75%+ of all costco clothing lines are what I consider disposable. This is why most of their clothing will frey, pilling, lose shape within 20-30 wash cycles or 1-2 years. You will basically throw away the clothes within that time period. I have had costco clothes fall apart with-in 3-4 months. 15% of the time there is a winner that will last 2-5 years. Just as reference I have had clothing pre 2010 last 5-15+ worn on a regular basis years. You get what you pay for.

Style? What would be so different in a hoodie style besides the inner pocket that no one can see? Really interested. I’d love to see an expensive hoodie next to this one to see the difference.

If it had a *design* label it would significantly cost more than $22.00. The price certainly is profitable @ Costco 🥳

Not sure about that pocket being outdated …this isn’t Kirklands first rodeo and I doubt much gets past them. I actually find myself often using a cord on my Bose for long flights and runs/walks and this video may have just sold me on this sweater.

Wow I bought few nice hoodies for ~$7-10 over the past 4-5 years. They all wear well and I think I can wear them for at least 5 more years unless I outgrow them by gaining 20+lbs 😁

Wire headphones will never go away because they are usually far superior than wireless. I kinda like the headphones hole feature, even if I don’t use it often, why not for 22usd.
Keep in mind who is the target demo. for Costco. For them 2006 seems like yesterday.

I don't like almost all Costco clothing, even the Levi's are of inferior quality. But in 25 years I have found three winners. Twenty years ago Costco sold first quality Docker khakis that I still wear. Costco used to sell really good 32 Degrees Heat fleece jackets for around $15. Costco also sells cheap Weatherproof fleece lined canvas jeans that I use when snowblowing or if I went outside now when it is -7F.
