Omg I’m officially old…I’ve noticed the clothes are aimed at Gen X, I started laughing the other day when I had a pile of the least trendy clothes ever from the IT brands of my youth- banana republic, GAP & Eddie Bauer. Those EB light duty snow pants are the shit btw. Got 3 pairs!
Would love to see a video analyzing some of the go-to blank sweatshirts for screen printers. Things like Gildan, Independent Trading Co., Port and Company, Jerzees. Great info.
I will say I’ve had great luck with Port & Co but I’ve only had embroidery done. If I buy my own work merch, I get the logo file & I get embroidery done, it’s expensive but Port & Co has nice fitting stuff. In my experience as a collector of small town cultural resource marketing hoodies, gildan doesn’t hold the image well, it likes to peel off. Terry Montana is losing the border with Canada on my sweatshirt as we speak lol
The tiny pocket isn't for phone or device but for ID holder or small wallet. I have that hoodie in that color and love it. Few hoodies actually have real thick feeling fleece on the inside anymore. This one does, and feels warm and comfy. I really liked how heavy this was, especially at this low price, it exceeded my expectations. I can't usually find a warm comfy hoodie at this low price, at least not where I live.
@@Welldunn That's actually not a headphone cord slit... that's actually designed so you can reach in with a finger and scratch your itchy belly button.

Have you thought of adding a running list of top 20 manufacturer's that you've reviewed and adding the retailer you reviewed to that list at the end of the video? Doug Demuro does something like this and it's always a nice thing to see.
@ exactly. The same concept, just on clothing manufacturers and the piece of clothing he reviewed. Would be pretty cool to see because I’m always wondering how each manufacturer stacks up against another at the end of the video.

@@miamerrick2410 take a look at something with a over the ear loop. i stuck with wired for a long time because i didn't like the fit or secureness of earbuds but finding wireless with loop changed my mind.
My only real complaint with the Kirkland jackets has been the Velcro cuffs which I find often lack hold or longevity. IMO Costco deserves high praise for maintaining 3 outer zipper pockets and 2 inner pouch pockets. With other cheap brands you either won’t have a chest pocket or waist pockets without zippers or any inner pockets.
Love this! Thanks for sharing and all your insight! Sometimes Costco has dupes of lulu, Aritzia, Vuori, or other more expensive brands. If possible, could you compare the dupes and how they’re made and if they’re actually dupes or not?
Yeeessss. Been waiting for a clothing version of Rose Anvil's channel. Educating on construction, materials, history, actual cost to make things, how the industry works, taking things apart to show what's on the inside, etc. I want my clothes to last a long time but am nervous to spend more money bc expensive often doesn't correlate to durability (especially after a certain threshold). Appreciate you sharing the knowledge so I can know where and what to spend money on to find what I want. Also love your philosophy of sharing knowledge so that clothing companies have to up their game, getting better products overall. Thank you!!
There is a "movement" to get away from Bluetooth headphones and back to corded headphones. Myself over the years I've tried different Bluetooth headphones and I have always gone back to corded. I guess what I'm saying is I appreciate the wire management 🤷 For the cost and use of this sweater Ill be looking to pick up a male version!! Edit. Another thought is that small pocket for a battery pack and run the cable out to your phone. 🤷
@homealone5087 From what I've seen iPods and mp3 players some older phone styles do have them though. It's easy for myself since I've never liked carrying a cell phone and when I do if I can't talk on speaker phone I let it go to voicemail.
would love to see a video from you guys on techniques for good garment construction. I started out buying everything from costco. But now have been more picky to what I buy as far as clothing. Shirts and some buttons ups only last a season. i began sourcing high-quality shirts and sweaters and shoes on the internet and buy Costco pants to justify the cost for those items.
Man I absolutely love this content. This totally has convinced me to. Buy less cheap clothes and just pay for slightly higher markup stuff from better brands. Well, except for Costco. Hehe seems like their stuff is solid.
Not sure about that pocket being outdated …this isn’t Kirklands first rodeo and I doubt much gets past them. I actually find myself often using a cord on my Bose for long flights and runs/walks and this video may have just sold me on this sweater.
I was thinking Borat over Gandolf on the sleeve section, lmao. I know Costco and Sam's clothes are cheap but man, if you can find some that aren't ugly, they are fantastic everyday clothes. My mens spandex joggers might make me look like an oversized out of shape lesbian coming from yoga class but man are they comfy!
I would like to see Flint and Tinders super famous Flannel Lined Wax Tucker Jacket that appeared in the last of us tv show. Could be interesting to know how to care for waxed garments
I would like to see reviews from brands that are more geared towards Buy It For Life, like Reigning Champ (the heavyweight stuff) and American Giant. Staples that are built tough and functional but also (in my opinion) aesthetically pleasing. Also, an exploration in to alternative materials than cotton or the usual synthetic materials - materials like wool-types, alpaca, etc. These would be good when people are considering staples for winter clothing. Maybe we could live in a world where not everyone is rocking puffers in the depths of winter.
As someone who doesn't like carrying a purse and loves hoodies...that little pocket can be for my id, any card really, lipstick, and maybe my keys lol the more pockets the better! 😂
I just watched a video on 90’s designer Todd Oldham. He used alternate fabrics and fabrications for animal products like wool, fur, feathers and leather. He said the Asian designers, like Rei Kawakubo, are responsible for reintroducing polyester fabrics in the ways we use them today, because polyester offers so many good fabrication possibilities, after the disco days gave polyester a bad reputation.
