i was lucky enough to get this from my friend's dad who worked at HKS when they still were here in the USA. i'm pretty sure you can still order one from japan
i got mine for a good deal, which is why i bought it. however, if you really want the HKS part you can go to a motorsports shop and maybe get one ordered.
power improvement is minimal. you're better off getting one built at a muffler shop. a catback system is very easy and cheap to make

Love the hood prop. It's a hood prop and a self-protection device.
I need one of those for my '85.

Hey mate, where did you buy this exhaust from? Are they still available? Any improvement in power? I need a new exhaust system, probably from the exhaust manifold down but I haven't seen many parts available, especially for an NA engine.

Hey, man! I know you posted this video six years ago, but I'm curious about something, if you still have the car/know its' whereabouts. In the video, I can hear a little high-pitched tap coming from your motor at idle. Do you have any idea what that sound is? I'm pretty sure my AW11's making the same noise, which is why I'm asking. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious...

Dorian Dempsey-Carter yup i still have this car. as for the tapping noise at idle, its probably because of valve clearances. if it doesnt sound like a diesel youre probably fine. a loose valve is a happy valve. check your valve clearances if youre worried but my car is at 215k and the clearances were still in spec

Thanks for the reply, man! Good to know, and will do. I had a member of the MR2.com forums send me a link to his video, where his car was exhibiting the same sound as ours. He concluded that it was the TVIS plate being loose via pulling the vacuum line from the TVIS actuator, and wasn't anything to worry about. His video's at /watch?v=QYr9nloWzoM.
