    I love that you showed that you had been painting too long. I think people really learn and can relate to you better. These look like super fun to do and I’m looking forward to doing them. I love the minimalistic effect.

      Thank you so much. I am trying to keep a bit of honesty in my videos as painting can be both the best thing and the most frustrating and I dont always want to edit out the frustrating bits since we all have to go though them I think!

      I think it’s important in teaching to show those learning how to overcome or avoid situations and I’m grateful you didn’t edit it out.

    I have just discovered your channel and love your style! The simplicity and speed appeals to me very much. I usually do pencil sketch scenes on my travels but really want to start using some colour so I will try out the watercolour techniques you have demonstrated. Would you be able to tell me which watercolour sketchbook you use?

    • @annamabellaedgley
      @annamabellaedgley  4 місяці тому

      I am so glad you like the videos. Simplicity works so well for travel sketches. The sketchbook is a Hahnemuhle watercolour sketchbook. I think there are 2 paper weights and this is the heaviest.

    I’ve just subscribed. I’ve always been a details person, and this is a great way for me to approach watercolour in a different way, especially as I love the medium when it’s allowed to be so expressive. I’m also a fan of colour mixing and granulation so thank you for introducing me to a different style where I can really explore these qualities and let the paint do its thing.
    May I ask what watercolour book you are using here, as a lot of the books available in the mass market I don’t think would have adapted to the techniques you are using here, being too thin and poor quality paper?

      Thank you so much for subscribing, I am really glad the video was helpful! I have another video on the sketchbooks I use. I can not tell you exactly which one this is since I am away at the moment. But I will post a link to the video here and you can watch it or look for information in the description. Thank you again and good luck :)

    Lovely as ever! I actually think there was something in that last one too, it did look briefly like it might go horribly wrong but once dry there were some interesting and different textures ❤

    Thanks a lot for the instructions! In spite of not being talented, in spite that neither my brushes nor my paper are of good quality my fourth attempt was quite satisfactory (at least I felt happy doing it).
