A lot of animals get held on the neck just to stop them biting. Like how some animals get picked up by their scruffed which is by their neck
Also cane tones shouldn’t be handled without gloves as they have toxins which can cause you to hallocunate
It’s like when people say I’m choking a horse just by tightening the cinch so the saddle doesn’t fall off. Horses throats aren’t in their stomachs.

Jacob held it incorrectly, That is not how to hold a Tegu, and it was trying to stay still because of the size of Tegus, they can puff out if they squirm too much

I’m getting a lot of comments with people upset with the way I handled the wild killer. He was not choked, he was firmly grabbed. At first he freaked out when I grabbed him but then as you can see he calmed down because he knew I wasn’t trying to hurt him. If I was “choking” him, the animal would have been struggling the whole time.
