I have my own bit of property. We have horses, birds, dogs, cats, goats, and fish. We face problems all the time, recently one of our goats got out she was kicked by one of our horses and sadly died. We also have to place traps because there are all sorts of animals that include: rats, mice, moles, cyotes, wolfs, and I think foxes. We also deal with stray animals like cats, dogs, birds, and lizards. Two of our saddest deaths are: our horse due to age, and our dog sonny due to cancer.

We had problem with cats at our new house, spooking and killing my finches and parakeets in the aviaries during the early hours of the morning. It was heartbreaking that I could not stop them, and we were loosing so much sleep being woken each night to sound of panicking birds smashing themselves into the sides of the aviaries. In the end we actually got a dog... a terrier X chihuahua mix. She had to be rehomes as she hates cats. Perfect for us!! Within a week there were no more cat problems... after the cats got a few bites and scares from the dog.
That’s terrible but glad you were able to stop the problem !!!
