when me and my grandpa used to trap, the bobcats were always the toughest to figure out haha. we used mainly foot traps so it was real tedious on how and where you set the trap at in relation to the scent hole.most memorable catches were a double set where we caught two blonde coyotes next to each other. also the coal black two that we caught. should of mounted the coal black ones but they got sold for a few pennies haha thats how it seemed anyway. not very much money in it around here. was something to do and it "paid" for itself so
I put boxes out for fisher here in NY where I live right on Vermont border, season runs a month long during rifle season deer, I lose fur and traps because of rifle hunters.

I thought about trapping bobcat 5 or so years ago, have a good size reservoir n river area lots of em hear. For some reason the pelts were supposedly worth a lot of money from California?? Trapping bobcats was outlawed in Cali. 4 or 5 years ago. Anybody know why a Cali cat was worth a lot of money?

In Germany you go to prison for the way you hunt. Trap hunting is strictly prohibited and bobcats are protected by law. Differnet countries, different hunting. Dont get me worong. I'am a hunter myself-
