Victim's family speaks out on deadly dog attack

On Friday night, police responded to reports of stray dogs attacking people in the 2100 block of North Pulaski Street, and Keith Peters says he had no idea his wife, Sheila Jones, was one of them. “I gave her three dollars, and like I said, she was going to get something from the store,” said Peters, “She never came back in. I found out the next morning.” That’s when Jones’ only daughter, Ponnie, also learned of her mother’s death.

That forgive finesse is why our people are so messed up right now. I had to tell my mom, she's part of that older generation of forgive everybody, that if anything every happens to me then she better seek justice first & foremost. That turn the other cheek thing only gets us messed up. "Vengeance be mine, so sayegh the Lord"....that's what them wyt folks be on, while we be out here hugging and crying with the very ones who have done us harm. I'm somewhat glad that generation is slowly being called away because we aren't on that same kind of forgive, forgive dynamic that they tried to push.
Ain't no forgiveness when you in front of a judge, state legislators, the media, etc. I'll forgive you...as soon as that 30 years sentence comes down. I'll forgive you...as soon as, if we're lucky, you get that death penalty. I'll pray with you as you getting ready to take that great next trip, most likely, down below. We always so quick to try and have this moral complex that isn't doing us Any good out here.

The OWNER(S) was responsible for not training and not controlling those dogs.
Those dogs have been destroyed, and that person is still out there
and can get more dogs.

Very horrific, poor lady.
